This book captured my attention despite being somewhat predictable. I love JLA's writing style and I think the story has the potential to really surprise me, but it is too soon to tell. My favorite part of the book so far is the diversity of the characters.
I have a feeling that the more we read about Mallory and Rider's past the more difficult it will get. Seems that they went through a lot together, more than any child should ever have to endure.

So far I agree. I like the set up and I hope to see it play out more. I do like the diversity as well. I also like how the trauma is still showing in her not something gotten over easily and I have a feeling it's still effecting him as well he's just better able to hide or cope with it. Also can I say from moment one screw Paige. You say you know who she is how important they were to one another and your first thought is bitch get away from my man. Not wow seeing you're well and good is good for him but don't touch my man.
