Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs. I was disappointed by the first book (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children) but I was curious to know the end, and the second book (Hollow City) was really good.

Please Don't Tell
by Elizabeth AdlerIt's about a serial killer. Unfortunately it's hard to get a fresh take on this ubiquitous theme but the (non-killer) characters are engaging.
On Beauty by Zadie Smith-about 100 pages into it.The beginning is interesting enough to go ahead but now its getting very descriptive and at times going away from the narrative. But I do hope that it gets better since I have heard alot about Zadie Smith and her writing.
Currently reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and a book by the French slam poet and rapper Abd Al Malik.
I LOVE Jane Eyre, Martin! It's the first classic I ever read.Currently I am reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I will probably finish it this weekend.
Reading The Expedition of Humphry Clinker which is amusing even if the characters are a bit of a caricature. Also reading Envy, and Other Works. This one has made me laugh out loud. For some old school fantasy i've got The Pagan Night

This seems pretty hilarious :)
I just finished Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King. It was a gift from a friend and before i started reading it i was pretty sure that i wasnt gonna like it because i feel like stephen king sometimes writes book just for the hell of it. but this one, it dosen't have a horror side . it's just a story about a lady and it's a hell of a story. i really loved it.
Still reading Jane Eyre and started Re-Vive l'Empereur by Romain Puertolas (I love Puertolas's writing style! He is completely crazy and the most amzing is that the reader can't stop reading!)
Barbara wrote: "This seems pretty hilarious :)"Oh, it definitely is!^^ Although the recipes are a little, uh... "funky" :D

Hag's Nook by John Dickson Carr

I'm reading Palomino by Danielle STEEL and it's just like her book " ghost" or at least the beginning is. only in this book it's happening to a girl.
I'm starting The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. This one has been on my TBR list for quite a while.
I've started Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin. My feelings are upside out (don't know how to say it!). I feel quite not at ease! And I think it was one of the writer's purposes!
I'm reading La Femme au Carnet Rouge by Antoine Laurain and Dreams of my Father by Barack Obama. Two different books and I'm enjoying both!
While I am waiting for my copy of Middlemarch to arrive I am reading The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan. Book three of the Wheel of time. I don't understand I haven't read the series sooner. It is as good as fantasy goes. Pure perfection! :-)
Hum! Sounds great Karin! I have to look at these books!I'm still reading Dreams from my Father by Barack Obama. It's really interesting. I'm alos reading The Star Rover by Jack London and enjoying it.
Sometimes I wish I could sleep only two or three hours per night so I could read all night! But I sleep like a log! I need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep! :(

I'm reading The Star Rover by Jack London, my favorite author. And I'm surprised by the writing style! But I'm really enjoying it! And I started The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It reminds me of La Comtesse de Ségur's books.
I've never read anything by Jack London. How would you describe his books, Martin?I am reading Middlemarch by George Eliot.

Jack London is great storyteller. His writing style is vivid, realist, even naturalist, easy to understand (for most of his works), with lots of unvarnished descriptions. He was an engaged socialist and his involvement transpires in his works. His characters are fighters, always struggling for life. I loved his books about the Klondike (White Fang, The Call of the Wild...), but I prefered his "socialist" works, and my favorite one is Martin Eden.
I'm currently reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and Moby-Dick; or, The Whale.
This weekend I started reading Bleak House by Charles Dickens. It's a huge book, but a classic so I'm really looking forward to the story. :-)
I'm currenty reading a book based on an original story that's called : A Marriage Made For Murder. I'm liking it a lot. it got me hooked.
I've just started The Thing Around Your Neck for a buddy read. It sounds really interesting, a dive into an unknown culture for me!
I'm currently reading books about dyslexia and dysorthographia. My 8 year old daughter is suffering from this pathology.
I'm currently reading King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table. I really like reading these legends but I don't like the writing style! So it's really hard to go on!
I am currently reading Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up and it is having a profound impact on my home. Everything is being tidied to bring me joy. Its a fascinating philosophy. I really like how the book combines the practicalities of organizing things with a spiritual element. Its great! I'll be happy to do a tidying marathon with a buddy and discuss our progress (if you dare... ha ha ha _! )
