Teddy found Felix alone, crying and upset over his loss. He approached him hesitantly, not sure if his presence would be welcome but wanting to be there for him all the same. "F-felix?" he says softly, letting the name hang in the air, a question on if he could stay or if he should go balancing on that simple word. When he didn't make any indication that he should leave, Teddy moved forward and wordlessly pulled him into a hug, offering his chest for his friends tears as he did his best to soothe him, hand rubbing his back as he rested his chin atop his head like he knew Felix liked him to do.

"I know this must be hard for you, I can't imagine what you're feeling." In fact, unless Onyx died, he'd never be able to understand what it felt like since he didn't think he would be upset if either of his parents died. He'd be happy, to be honest. But those were thoughts best kept to another time. He turned his attention back to Felix, trying to put himself in his friends shoes to help him. "It must feel like you're all alone now, right?" he said softly, holding him tight to his chest. "But, I want you to remember you're not. Hogwarts is home to all of us, and Hufflepuff is your family if you want it to be......a-and....well...." here he hesitated. He'd not intended to tell him so soon, but he knew that at this moment, they were words that Felix needed to hear. "Felix....you are a wonderful person, with a sweet heart, vast intelligence and a thirst for knowledge. The way you've stuck to me through all these years, even when things got painful...." he choked up, eyes burning as he remembered his best friend, his close friend, lying so still on the infirmary bed, broken and bruised because of him. He pushed onwards, "You didn't leave me, not once. Not even when you learned of my secret." He could still remember that day when the boggart had scared him into his cat form, the fear he'd felt at what Felix would think when he saw him, and the relief at his acceptance and even the joy over the hat he was gifted to cover his ears in the winter should they pop out.

Teddy moved until he stood in front of Felix, reaching out to take his hand as his eyes took on a warm, sincere look. "Felix, for the longest time, I thought of you as a friend, a brother. Someone who was there for me when I needed them most. You've seen me at my weakest, at my darkest moments and still accept me, even with the curtain of forced joy pulled aside, you have loved me. I used to think that being with you was selfish on my part, that desiring your company and aching without you was just because of my desire for affection in a home where I was not allowed any. And while maybe that is how things started, I know now that it had always been more. I need you, Felix. But more than that, I love you. Not as a friend, not as a brother, but as someone who has always been able to see straight to my soul and love everything about it. As a person that I want to spend the rest of my life with, together." his cheeks were bright red as he spoke, clearly having been very nervous about his confession. He looked up into his eyes again as he said lovingly, "I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way than this; where I does not exist, nor you, so close that-" here he paused to lift Felix's hand to rest it upon his chest. "-your hand on my chest is my hand. So close-" his head lowered so their foreheads touched as he whispered the last few words, "so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep." His head tilted ever so slightly so that their lips could brush passionately. "I'm so sorry that it took me this long to realize how much I love you." he whispered against his lips, his hands sliding around his waist to pull him closer. "But know that I'm not letting you run away again. We're going to be together, you and me, from now until our minds reject our age."

Let's say I agree to this batshit crazy army plan of yours. Unlikely, as I am very used to torture, being studied, and being killed. But. How am I useful? How the hell are you going to put me in power among your ranks?" She snorted, shaking her head and carefully setting the unmoving Queen on the ground at her feet. "My power isn't exactly very applicable in a war. The only way I can kill someone is by loving them, or being loved by them. I mean, Stefan I can see. He could be very dangerous. There are people that you can control, and then there are ones you can only unleash. Better figure out which he is pretty quick before you fuck up with him." She taunted. There was no way she would join this damn army of his. She never liked people dying, especially for a reason as senseless as some power greedy bastard. But she wanted to learn more. Knowledge was power, and she always looked for ways to gain an advantage over someone. "Anyway. How are you planning to make my powers offensive? Or how would I be useful at all? I'm a Queen but I left them long ago, and they all died. I'm no soldier, I know that. I could be in the blink of an eye, but I mean... eh. Only if I absolutely have to. And I'm not doing that just do join that army. I mean, I can manipulate, but again: I am in no way a soldier."

Then her gaze narrowed. "You may always be a part of her, but will you be a part she likes? Because if you do this, I bet you won't be. You'll become that pat that she shoves into the back of her mind and boxes up to try and forget. You'll become that guy people all hate, that abusive ass that left her to raise a child all alone. Oh I've heard all about how you attacked her. And you really think she'll come crawling back to you?" Ciara laughed softly, but was suddenly sympathetic seeming. She sighed as she looked up at Damien, calmly resting her arm on Stefan's shoulder. "Look. I mean, I don't hate you. Shocking I know. You care about her, which is one big thing that keeps me from hating you. I'm going to offer you some help. Now. I'm not saying that you need help, just... If you want another female's opinion on how to prevent her from trying to tear your throat out when she sees you, feel free to ask me. When it comes to assisting relationships I put my biased opinions aside." She smiled slightly, for once honest. Mostly. She sometimes lied in relationship advice, but only if someone truly felt like they were in danger. And that wasn't the case here, she knew. When the dog at her feet started to stir she completely stopped her current conversation, kneeling in the sand in front of the dog. Anxiously she checked Queen over, looking relieved that the puppy seemed to have no ill effects from whatever had been done to her. She scratched the puppy's ears and along her back before she straightened again, Queen sitting happily on Ciara's feet.

Looking over at Stefan, her gaze sharpened. "Don't you dare yell at me. I haven't done anything to you and this is the second time you've cast me in the role as the villainess." She paused and looks over at Damien, seeming vaguely annoyed and for once not at him. "Sorry about this, just have to take care of this for a second." She smiled sweetly before turning back to Stefan with a snarl. "I fucked you when I could have fucked you over, hauled your ass out of perpetually repeating death, helped you in general, told you more about myself than literally anyone else alive knows. Oh yeah, I never told you that. You were literally the only person alive that knew my real name. Why the hell would you go babbling it off to tall, dark, sexy and intimidating here?" She gestured over to Damien. "And don't give me that 'I didn't know' bullshit. You know very well that I lie for a living. You saw me tell other people a fake name, and you knew me as two different things. The only reason you know my real name at all now is because you were dying and I felt sorry for you. Lay off." She snapped at him, then turned back to Damien with anther pleasant smile. "Now. If you would be so kind as to answer my questions?" She asked politely. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[What did she care? What was the point of this really? Kye wanted to know the answer to those questions as much as Jen wanted them. Her voice had been soft, a hidden undertone of vulnerability. That was something Kye had learned to recognize, to latch on to. It was an involuntary response, an action wired so deep it became instinct. Or maybe it had always been instinct for her to do so. She could pracitically smell the surprise and effort in staying just slightly more composed that Jen was exerting. That need to seem strong, be strong, be percieved so powerfully as something not be trifled with. Don't tread on me. She'd heard that phrase once before, but it suddenly popped back into her mind. It was supposed to be something symbolic, something historic, but she couldn't place it just then. She was too focused on the opening she'd created in Jen's defenses.

But why the fuck was she so fixated on this? Lips pressed together and hands at her sides, she stared at Jen. Hoping both to find words to counter with properly and to keep restraint in mind. There was a itch in her fingers; words weren't the tools she used to convey her thoughts. Physicality was her form of communication. She could read body language like someone literate could read a sentence or a book for that matter. Movement spoke volumes to her, just like everything else around them. Maybe she should just resort to that.

She considered, truly considered finally laying hands on Jen. How many times had she dreamed of wrapping her fingers around that slender neck and watching the life leave those brown eyes? How many nights had she contemplated a number of ways for the shorter girl to just disappear into the night, and of words she'd use to explain it? She couldn't say, couldn't put a number to how much she would pay to never have to see this girl again. But now? Now, she was filled with a terrible conviction to be understood for once.

It had nothing to do with the fact that Jen was four years older than her--did that really make her woman? Kye didn't think she could accept that--but more so to do with the fact that she was powerful. In a way that Kye would never be. She could bring a man down to his knees with a glare, with a threat, with a weapon. But, Jen; Jen could do so without really directing an ounce of attention to what she was doing. There was nothing calculated; it was natural. It was so despicably awful that it made Kye sick. Sick with what? Jealousy? Admiration? It was too complicated to decide, but too simple to leave alone all at once. It was a wonder Damon didn't go insane, but this was part of why Kye held him in such high regard.

She didn't like where her mind was, the path it was following. She didn't admire Jennifer. She didn't care. She didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't; and yet, she did. Which was probably why her body moved on its own, why her mind disconnected from her limbs. Her fingers cupped Jen's jaw in a harsh capture, their faces inches apart and Kye's lips curled up into a snarl.

"You might think you don't need help." This wasn't her speaking. The voice was too breathy, too melodious to be hers. Hers was a voice of warbled water, of a brook tripping and falling over stones. Hers was a voice of hatred and animosity, not the surprising gentleness that she heard coloring her words. "But this is a dangerous game you play. You think you are strong enough for this, but nothing you could have possibly faced will ever have prepared you for what you are going through. Fuck whatever past you think you had, because once you enter the rank of wolves, you never show weakness or find yourself at the bottom with you tail tucked between your legs. So, listen closely, you painted whore, don't--I mean don't--ever think that you are without help, or that you don't need it. We are strongest together. And so help me whatever deity you believe in, if you think you don't need help, I'd advise you to think again before you find yourself in a shallow grave."

Rabid; that'd be a good word to describe the look on her face. The mud had smeared on her cheeks, eyes wide with her actions. Her nostrils flared, an angry response she had no control over. Her entire frame trembled, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood. Her chest heaved with her breath, heart beating double-time. (hide spoiler)]
