Glad you liked it. Probably the next book that clearly fits your criteria is The Double Star by Jean de La Vaudere.

Some of the stories in that collection are also in Misanthropic Tales.

Yes, August 7 is the release date for The Double Star.

It is not precisely Contes cruels, but they are all certainly Contes cruels. But they are mostly longer stories.

Oh, I realized now that "Lilith's Legacy" by Renee Vivien comes out first.

One section of this is a short story collection which I think could be classified as Contes cruels.
