Sirensongs | 24 comments I'm so happy to see that Snuggly Books and Damian Murphy are working together. Damian is a truly original and marvellous writer whose works deserve much more attention in the literary world. I'm eager to read both the new material and the revisions in his forthcoming Snuggly collection.

I've only read one story, and now I wish his work was more widely available. Props to Snuggly for making it so.

Neil B (neil77) | 2 comments I completely agree with Sirensongs. I have read the majority of Damian Murphy's Ex Occidente Press output and think he is a very talented and unique new author. It is a wonderful thing that his work might be more easily and affordably attainable through Snuggly Books.

Damian Murphy | 1 comments Thank you greatly for the enthusiasm and kind words. Hopefully the new story will make the book enticing for people who've read the older material. It will be a fairly sizable piece, as big as any of the other stories save The Salamander Angel, and will feature some very unique elements not found in anything I've done so far.

As for the older work, The Salamander Angel will have some additional material. When the story was first published, I was given the choice of releasing it as a standalone book or including the text in Infra Noir. Of course, Infra Noir was too incredible a book to pass up, so I chose the latter, but had to cut some of the text in order to fit it into the book. About half of the 3000 words that I cut have been restored for the Snuggly version (the other half are best left on the cutting room floor). While the story, I think, works either way, there are a couple of cases in which the added text reveals shades of meaning not found in the original.

We have just been informed that Mr. Murphy is at work on a NEO-DECADENT MANIFESTO OF OCCULTISM...

I found this dialogue between Justin and Damian to be highly compelling... and of course very informative of the subject matter. Thank you so much for sharing this.
