So for the month of January I have decided that this months read along book is going to be Slasher girls & Monster boys. This is a collection of thriller and horror short stories and I'm super excited to read this.

You don't have to read the book that I've set out every month, each month i will pick from a different genre so hopefully throughout the year there will be a few you will enjoy. I will be posting other discussions on here as well you can also be a part of, so don't worry about not wanting to read this months chosen book.

I have just finished the first short story in this book and it was really good. I'm looking forward to reading Jay Kristoffs and Leigh Bardugos short stories

Makayla (moonyslibrary) | 6 comments I'm planning to start as soon as I finish the last 80 pages in Dracula! (can't tell if this book is putting me to sleep from personal preference or because anything labeled required reading my brain immediately rejects

I want to read Dracula one day, and i definitely think there is something about a book being required reading that instantly makes it less enjoyable.

Yes of course you can, its very laid back you can pick and choose which books you want to read and discuss, I'm also thinking of putting 2 books up a month out of my TBR so people have more choice.

I've just finished the third short story and i really enjoyed it, it was set in the year 1918 in Northern France during World War 1. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as i did.

I' here, but for City of Bones. Not sure if you're going to start a new thread for that.

I've just finished Leigh Bardugos short story and I was disappointed, didn't enjoy the characters, and it didn't feel very creepy, least favourite story so far

Just finished the short story Hide and seek by Megan Shepherd probably my favourite so far

Amanda (Smitten For Fiction) (smittenforfiction) I'm reading Slasher Girls, my library did not have a physical copy, just the ebook so I've borrowed that. I'm 42% in, and really enjoying it :)

I've still have not managed to finish this yet, I've been focusing so much on City of Bones instead, still hoping to finish it by the end of the month though because I'm loving it so far!

So I haven't read anymore of this since I decided to take part in the DIVERSEATHON I hope to get it finished by the end of this month, but who knows if that will happen?!

Amanda (Smitten For Fiction) (smittenforfiction) I was also taking part in Diverseathon, didn't finish my book for that this week though. Bit of a reading slump the past week, but I have read 8 books in January so I think I'm allowed LOL

The Diverseathon is the reason i haven't finished this book. 8 books is really good !

I didn't get round to picking up the book in January, but I'm looking forward to it for jay kristoff's story alone.
After the illuminae series and Nevernight he's definitely becoming an auto buy author for me!
His plot twists are always so great...painful ...but great lol!

I finally managed to get this finished and I really enjoyed it, I loved most of the stories only maybe 2-3 i didn't really care for. My favourites were by Jay Kristoff, Cat Winters, Nova Res Suma and April Genevieve Tucholke.
This has made me want to read more anthologies!!
