The office is used by the Queen to talk about business or upcoming events. The walls are made with wood, holding books and nick nacks on the shelves. Behind her desk is a window that lights up the room. Before her desk are two seats and a table. On one wall is a fire place and above it is a painting of her father. Whenever in the office, her guard stands outside the door in watch.

message 2: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana sat in one of the chairs facing the desk, tapping her foot anxiously. She'd been told by a guard to talk to the Queen in her office - although the Queen didn't seem to be there yet. Somehow, the waiting made it worse. It forced Hana to mull over everything she could've possibly done in the last week or so. She hadn't shown up late to anything - she hadn't mouthed off to any supervisors, had kept her quarters clean...she had been having a few late nights lately, but that was only because she'd gone out partying with a few mundanes, and nobody had found out about that...right? She had gone to a club or two with a group of mundanes she'd come to call her friends - they texted and hung out sometimes, which was nice. They all liked her for her - didn't know anything about the vampire stuff, which was ideal.

It could also be that Hana hadn't picked a feeder yet. That whole process was just...disgusting. Like they were choosing livestock for the slaughter. These were real people, still. Even if they weren't immortal, like the rest of them. And everybody around here acted like they were so powerful over the mundanes. Vampires could still be killed, Hana thought. Not everybody is invincible.

Elizabeth walked down the hall. Her black pointy heels clicked with every step she took. She wore a black tank top with a V-neck that was tucked into gray dress pants. Her black long hair was in tight bun that pulled her face back and highlighted her cheek bones a bit. But what stood out were her blood red lips, her signature look.

Elizabeth reached the door to her office, which was where she was to meet one of the guards that she had received a report on. She nodded to the guard that stood next to the door. With that, the guard moved and opened the door for her. The queen walked into her office where the sound of her heel were cut off just as she stepped onto the rug. She walked over to her desk, which was placed right before the window, and before her she found Hana. She took a seat, taking her time to settle down. The door closed within a few seconds, leaving the two alone.

Elizabeth briefly looked over the girl before picking up the papers before her. Her dark brown eyes scanned over the file. She barely regarded the girl again, but she spoke. "Tell me Hana, do you know why your here?"

((Sorry for the late reply. School took over for a moment))

Emma Hana's insides boiled with anger. So the Queen shows up late and then acts all nonchalant, trying to throw a question on her? There was no time for hellos and how-are-yous in Queen-world, apparently. Hana looked at her. "No, I don't." she said. She bit the inside of her cheek, vowing not to give any easy answers. Let the Queen actually work for something in her life. See how that treats her. She crossed her arms. Still, the Queen had a dangerous energy about her that made Hana want to drop and beg for mercy. Maybe it was the reputation, maybe it was her appearance, but she was definitely scary.

Elizabeth frowned to herself. She didn't like to waste time, and if Hana wasn't going to help with getting this over, she would only make it more harder for herself. She set the papers down after reviewing a few more things and looked over to Hana. "There's been a report that you attended the club to enjoy yourself with mundanes?" Elizabeth said the word with disgust. Her eyes stayed fixed on Hana as she confronted her. "Enjoying in a way that is not feeding your lustful. Along with that, it seems like you haven't chosen a feeder. It is understandable that you prefer to change up your blood type every now and then, and I hope that be the reason. You know of the punishment of aiding a human. Do you not?" Elizabeth placed her arms on her desk and interlaced her fingers, not once removing her gaze from the girl.

Emma Hana shifted her weight. "You're not supposed to turn mundanes." she said, repeating it for what felt like the hundredth time. It was one of their main rules. "I'm not going to turn anybody. I just like to have fun, which I don't think is a crime." She shrugged, feeling very uncomfortable. She wasn't tempted with her mundane friends, and if she was, she pushed that feeling away until it was deep down. "And as for the feeder thing...I...I don't know." she admitted honestly. Might as well. "I'm not trying to aid any humans, I just...haven't found anybody." Yes. That was a good excuse. "All the good feeders are taken, you know? And it's difficult to take one, as I'm always on-duty, or blowing off steam - which, by the way, I think I should be allowed to go to parties. Because if I kept all this energy bottled in, it would...have bad consequences." That bit was a stretch, but whatever.

"Parties are unnecessary. They are just an imagination that makes you think your blowing off steam. Though fun may not be a crime, it will get you no where." The queen pushed her chair back and stood up. She looked down to the girl for a moment before walking around her desk only to go stand before it. She leaned against it, her arms at ether side on the desk to hold herself. She could tell Hana was only finding an excuse for herself. "Listen Hana, you are given a responsibility as being a guard, and I hope you take that responsibility very well. The feeding facilities are a perfect way for letting off steam. If you prefer a more youthful and exciting way, there are clubs. But remember, mundanes are feeders, not friends. My own feeder is being starved and stopped from his pills for simply uttering three words," she adds the last part to show how serious she was. I love you, she remembered what Alexander said to her. Her brown eyes changed from dark brown to red now, both from the memory and the conversation at the moment. "If I learn that your relationship with a mundane is more than a feeder and a vampire, you will be brought here again, and trust me that will not be something you want. Understood?"

message 8: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana nodded. Still, her mind fought to remember that mundanes were not food. They were people, with thoughts and likes and dislikes and lives just like her. "I have been feeling sorta weird lately." she said. Perhaps the Queen could help her. She was her boss, but she was also the first vampire ever, and that had to account for something. Plus, the Queen might appreciate her asking for help. It might build a little trust there. "I haven't...taken blood in a while and it hurts. It hurts everywhere, almost." She usually went for long stretches of time without feeding, and then sucking some poor mundane completely dry when it was eventually too much to handle. She could usually keep it under wraps, though. Hide her hunger, pretend it wasn't there.

It was good to see her agree. She didn't want to have to deal with a hot head that still thought about disagreeing with their queen. Elizabeth was just about to dismiss her when she heard the young girl speak again. She raised an eyebrow for a moment. Was she asking her for advice? Help? Elizabeth moved to cross her bare arms over her chest and listened to what Hana had to say. She realized the girl was having trouble with differentiating between what's wrong and what's right. It reminded her of herself centuries ago, where she too questioned her own plan. Elizabeth sighs and walks over to the other chair next to Hana. She sat down and faced her. "Listen, you have to know, that what I'm doing is to end sexim, to end the suffering men inflict on us women. We can lead the world now. We can show them what we're really made of. Your still very young," the queen spoke to her gently. She had her hands placed on her lap. "Your still confused. But I'm here to show you that your capable of doing what every you want. Don't let your feelings for mundanes stop you. Your feeling for men's stop you. They just think of themselves. So feed more than you already do, and you will not hurt. Besides, what good would you be to your queen if you are not healthy?" She offered her a small smile.

message 10: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana's brow furrowed. "So...the entire basis of being a vampire is getting back at men?" she looked at the Queen, incredulous. It had to be a joke, right? There must be something else, about strength and feeding off the weak or some nonsense like that. "I don't think about men at all, your Majesty. They mean absolutely nothing to me, and they have nothing to do with the issues I have about feeding. But I..." Hana, thought, perhaps, it would be more advantageous in the long-run to pretend it was indeed men who were the root of all her problems. "I was in love, once, and my heart was broken. So I don't know much about men anymore. I am scared, though, and perhaps I need a little guidance."

For a moment Elizabeth thought she was about to defend men. She could feel the heat within her burn just at the thought of someone doing that. The smile she just had disappeared and she only gazed at her with a cold serious look. She stayed quite, even after Hana finished speak. How was it she spoke about having nothing to do with men, and then go to claim that she was confused about them due to a heart break? A minute later she pushed her hands against her legs and rises up. She walked back around the desk to sit in her chair again. Wether Hana was telling the truth or trying to get out of trouble, the queen simply said, "Stay out of trouble Hana. If you want to keep your place, I suggest you do not mingle with humans." She leaned back into her her chair and crossed her arms on her chest.

message 12: by Emma (new)

Emma "Yes. Fine." Hana said. She breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn't going to stop going out, but it wasn't like the Queen forbade her. It was just a light suggestion, something she didn't have to take too seriously. But she would have to be careful - the Queen had eyes and ears everywhere, even in the mundane world. It was irritating at best and creepy at worst. "I think I'll find a feeder tonight. It'll make me feel better for sure. Do you...have any advice for finding one?" she asked.

ƒαуzα...{Iɱ Ꮗҽíཞᗪ} (lovefayfay) | 392 comments Mod
She hoped the little girl would take her advice. She didn't want to see her again in her office. She didn't like speaking twice. You ether take her advice the first time, or you take her wrath the next. She raised an eyebrow at her question. She was glad to see she would choose a feeder today. Hopefully that would set her on the right path. But she didn't see the point of asking her what would be a good way to choose one. "It's what you prefer dear," she tells her. She certainly made a mistake at choosing hers.

message 14: by Emma (new)

Emma "Huh." Hana said, looking at her hands. Her finger touched one of her fangs, an absentminded habit she'd picked up over the years. She didn't know what kind of feeder she wanted. Did it matter? The submissive ones were probably easier to handle - she knew of some feeders who begged for the feeding. Those people were strange. Did they not remember anything left of their humanity? Did they not have self-respect. Hana's eyes flickered back to the Queen's face. "Well, your office is nice."

Elizabeth glanced over her office. From the fire place, to the books, then back to the chair Hana sat on. She had done a few changes to this office when she choose his manor, such as change the desk, add the painting of her father, choose books she thought were useful, or preferred to read. She hadn't done much though, which she started to regret now. She was thinking of changing it into something new, something more her. Bot with being the queen now, it seemed like the last thing to come to her mind. "Thank you," she said, but with no smile. "You may leave now," she tells her since she was done advising her, or warning her.

message 16: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana sighed as she stood up. So much for making conversation. She'd never assumed the Queen would bother anyway - she most likely had important things to do. Although, what duties did a Vampire Queen have? Drink blood, probably. Hana wondered if the Queen ever had time to read all the books on these walls. She bowed before leaving - a traditional showing of respect for the Queen - and walked out of the room.
