Uncle Silas by J. Sheridan Le Fanu

A clever story. It was a bit too long, I thought, with parts that seemed almost irrelevant. The use of written dialect, especially for the French woman, made some of it difficult to read. But the actual story was good & I enjoyed it far more than I had anticipated.

This book had some very dramatic moments.

I listened to the book... fir which I am so glad now that I see there was written dialect. It was a great listen.
