Hi, everyone. I was so excited to see this book club on Instagram! I am of Swedish heritage and a rabid Scandiphile--design, literature, food--you name it! I am also a librarian :)

I live in New Hampshire.

I am looking forward to this book--I've read only the Moomin books and The Summer Book by Jansson, so this is a whole new side of her I didn't know about.

I'm very excited to join this group!

I am Frenchwoman but I've always been fascinated by nordic culture/history.
I am particularly interested in Finnish literature as my soon to be husband is a Finn.

I've read the great deceiver 2 years ago and had mixed feelings about it, so I'm looking forward to reading everyone's opinion about it.

I've been meaning to join this group for a while and am so glad I finally did. My family has Norwegian heritage and I love finding ways to connect with it. I also find such joy discussing great literature, so this group seems the perfect fit.

Hi y'all! I'm so glad to have stumbled across this group. I moderate a group locally and attend another in person, but neither quite hit my niche for foreign fiction. I'm read several Scandinavian mysteries, but just recently came across some other translated works. Like Haley, I have a Norwegian heritage. I know a great deal about food, but admittedly little about the rest of the culture. I'm looking forward to delving into this new adventure with you.
