I read this to complete challenge 38: a book inspired by a classic. This was a YA novel set in the prehistoric era and it was inspired by Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
At first I had a hard time getting into this book, but about 100 pages in the plot started picking up and I loved it. As someone who has read Pride and Prejudice I loved seeing the elements that Julie Eshbaugh used in her novel. I really enjoyed the last 2/3rds of this novel and I will definitely pick up Obsidian and Stars when it comes out later this year. I gave it 4/5 Stars.
