Also, bookdepository.com ships free anywhere in the world and awesomebooks.com has $2.99 shipping anywhere in the world. Some books we just aren't going to find easily here in the States. I just checked and my library has William McIIvanney so I was pleasantly surprised about that!

2. Does it have to be something available free in ebook?
3. How interested ..."
1 = Yes
2 = No
3 = 3 for the year sounds perfect.
I'd be happy to join in with The Silver Darlings
1 = Maybe, depending on how interested I am in the specific book.
2 = No
3 = 3 is okay, although I am not sure how often I'll be able to join in.

1. Are you willing to purchase a book to read for one?
2. Does it have to be something available free in ebook?
3. How interested are you in read-a-longs? 2 or 3 for the year?
We could do both. Just wanted to get a feel for what everyone thinks. There are many free books in ebook format, but not everyone uses devices. There's Robert Louis Stevenson, Arthur Conan Doyle, John Buchan, Neil Munro, O. Douglas, Compton MacKenzie, all free.
Jim and I are going to do The Silver Darlings by Neil M. Gunn. I've found it used online for reasonable prices. So if you want to read that one with us being finding a copy!
