I read Rich Cohen's latest book: The Sun & the Moon & the Rolling Stones, on page 104 (The second sentence in chapter 14), he writes "Jack Kerouac banged out 'On the Road' at his mother's house in New Jersey." Is this a true and accurate statement? I understand, based upon biographies of Jack Kerouac, he begun to write "On the Road" in several locations in Queens & Manhattan. true & accurate statement?
