Thanks for the invite, sorry about the confusionl earlier about the name. Before Christmas I finished a series by Michael J Sullivan called the Riyria Chronicles. This is a fantasy series with wizards, elves, and such but set in and old kingdom type world. If you have not had a chance you may like them. I read a lot and from all genres, it is typical for me to read 10 or more books at a time. My favorite are Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Thrillers, and SyFi. Lately I found though the Historical fictions sthat are most accurate ate the ones most disturbing anyone else notice that?

Historical fiction is super cool like that. I know I have some friends who write Regency Romance, and they always talk about how finicky authors of that genre are with discerning between Victorian and Regency clothing, mannerisms, and social expectations. Apparently if there is a woman on the cover with a Victorian dress on rather than a Regency dress, hardcore, die-hard Regency readers won't even pick it up. And considering authors don't have control over their cover art when they are signed with a publisher, that's tough!
The other genres give a lot of creative license, but I personally like to show accurate historical info if I'm building off of it in my story world. Like in The Stone Legacy Series--I made sure to use real historical landmarks and do my research before using them in my books.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check out Sullivan's work. Sounds neat!

Yes they can be very finicky but lately I have read a lot of stuff claiming to be historical fiction that just is not. They put it. One or two events but it is really just fiction. I like John Jakes and James A Michener as well. Also reading some odd steampunk by Thomas K Carpenter that is very different but cool. About an alternative world reality with Ben Franklin and some other historic figures as alternative characters. The series is the Dashkova Memoirs, have not formed a real opinion yet on them only on book Three.

Good to know. I'll be looking out for an update on that!
