The Soul Throne Chronicles is by author Chris Martinau. It is a 6 book series set in one of the most intriguing and exciting worlds that come to life as you read. It has incredible kick-ass women and well developed characters who you come to respect and care deeply about with each book The Iron group has come together to do the right thing, led by a knife wielding feline, with a crew including a priestess, a dastardly rogue, a dwarf and an amazon woman among others. Each book represents a quest needed to be completed in order to take down the evil conquering the world. Not even close to sounding as awesome as it is, check it out if you like true fantasy, subversive world building and characters you'll respect, love and cheer for!

LOL! Nope. I meant the author. But that is super confusing considering your name is Chris, too! LOL!!! How funny. And ironic. So, the author is a guy then? I need to just go check him out. Can you link his book in a comment here? :)
