Sherlock Holmes discussion

My first novel, Sherlock Holmes and the Whitechapel Murders, an account of the matter by John Watson, M.D. is now available for pre-order (Publishing date set for early March, folks!). The book follows the course of the 'Ripper' murders of 1888, with Sherlock Holmes, Watson and Mycroft Holmes in a desperate chase through the labyrinth of East London to catch a murderer... but is 'Jack' acting alone?, what of the mysterious 'Professor' and his organisation?-what are their plans and how do they fit in with the most notorious crimes of the Victorian era?.

I am reading The Return of Sherlock Holmes. I would say 'again' or for the 'umpeenth time', but it's the Reader's Digest version and, to be fair, my original set of Sherlock Holmes stories have small typefaces making them a harder read for someone approaching their fiftieth year. I love Arthur Conan-Doyle; his breathless optimism, the excitement of the great Victorian age of science, with the romance of the era. Wonderful and comforting reading.
