Please use this thread to talk about the standalone books you are currently reading!

D.L. Thanks for setting this up. I am currently reading a few things, including our series read #1 Fallen

Also,
A Slice of Murder (Pizza Lovers, #1) by Chris Cavender

&

A Wedding in Maine by Jen McLaughlin

I am a devout James Patterson fan even though not all of his books are keepers.

No problem! I'm reading our Book of the Month The Orchid House right now. I'm also a fan of James Patterson books. I've read most of the Women's Murder Club Series and plan to read the Alex Cross series too.

Ana Till | 40 comments I recently just finished Small Great Things By: Jodi Picoult. absolutely loved it. She does an amazing job of incorporating ethical issues from all spectrum. this book was based off of current issues discussed in the media and I think it was pretty ballsy of her.

I just read that, as well. I really liked it and I've heard it referred to as the modern day To Kill a Mockingbird. It brings up issues that are hard to talk about, but need to be talked about. I think she is a very good writer and I will be reading more of her books!

Ana Till | 40 comments I have read most of her books and you will not be disappointed. Salem Falls is really good.

Laura (lauradragonchild) As standalones I have just finished the Bear and the Nightingale (though I found out in the end it will have a sequel by next year) and The Lass defied the Laird (which was given to me by Lisa Torquey for an honest review). I am planning to finish in Feb the Longest Ride, As a Man Thinket and The Lions of AL-Rassan.

D.L. I am reading several, including And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie I am doing a buddy read of it in another group. It's quite intriguing. Do we have any Agatha Christie fans here besides me?

message 9: by Laura (new)

Laura (lauradragonchild) I haven't read any Agatha Christie novels till now but maybe I should give them a go sometime.
This month I'm planning for serious stuff like Of Mice and Men by Steinbeck and maybe some lighter stuff like Michelle Morpurgo Born to Run. And I'd also like to catch up with our monthly standalone books.
