This one wasn't as good as the others. It just didn't have any surprises. My favorite part was when the attack didn't go as they planned.
There were a lot of lulls in this one as compared to the others (except the first book, which I struggled with). However, when it was good, it was very good! I particularly liked the scene where Amy saved herself in New York. I also liked Jenna's rescue.
I thought it had a sufficient level of suspense but the pacing was off.

The pacing was off for me. With the last book, I couldn't put the book down for long periods of time, this one took me longer to finish. The action itself was good but the introduction of new characters and the build up of Amy and Dallas relationship felt like it slowed down the suspense factor for me.
I had a lot of expectations for this book and it didn't live up to them. My fault, probably. I've got another book that I have off the chart expectations for as an ARC. I'll know next month if
Too Wilde to Tame by Tonya Burrows lives up to them.
It was interesting to think about all the contacts that Gabe had, the mechanics of his undercover operations. The fuel showing up for the plane was just one instance I thought about.
