Waking up the next morning, Seth's first emotion was a jolt of fear. What if he'd just imagined Chris being back? Still, the arm around his waist was certainly reassuring and he quickly relaxed, shifting around in his arms to face him. The light coming through a window told him it was morning, and to be honest he selfishly just wanted to spend time with Chris. Which he couldn't really do with him asleep. "Chris." He said gently, kissing his cheek. "It's morning."
His eyelids fluttered open. He really wish Seth hadn't woken him at that instant. Because the last memory playing in his head was Seth...talking about him dying and leaving him alone. Which deeply bothered X. He did not want to loose him. He'd have to wait to have Seth reincarnate again - if that is what souls do? - and he didn't want to be alone again for a long period of time, much less years for Seth to be reborn then grow up. And what if he never found him, or if humans died off because of the infections?
He wished his first thoughts upon waking were not of his love of his lives dying, but it was. To shove the thought away, he pulled Seth into a deep kiss. "I love you, so much." He said as he pulled away. "So much, you don't even know." He nuzzled him with his nose, placing kisses everywhere, smothering him.
Obviously, Seth was completely content to kiss him back, closing his eyes halfway. "Of course I know. I love you just as much, and you tell me all the time when we're together." He promised. He giggled slightly at the light kisses, ducking his head. "And if you don't believe me, we have today for you to be able to tell me just how much. And then tomorrow and the day after that and after that..." he sighed happily, looking up at him. "I won't have to miss you anymore." He said a bit softer, sliding a hand up to gently rest on Chris's cheek. "And you won't miss me." He promised.
I'm not letting you leave me, X thought, there has to be away for you to...be like me...be with me...forever. He pulled Seth closer and nibbled on his own lip in nervous anticipation. "If.....If there was a way for you to...lose your mortality...would you take it?" He asked, hesitantly.
"Are you alright, love?" Seth frowned, removing his hand from his cheek to pick some of the flowers that had grown overnight due to Chris's presence. He started weaving them together, hands between the two of them, but never looked away from Chris. "If it meant I could stay with you forever, of course." He answered without hesitation, kissing his cheek.
His cheeks flushed, "Then I won't rest until we find a way." He said, his tone serious. He sat up and leaned forward so that their foreheads met. "I don't want to lose you again. EVER. Or, if I do...I don't want to worry about you..." He couldn't even breath that word. dying. Death, being dead. Or turned. It was too much to even attempt to think it, it made his heart break at the thought.
"Its ok." Seth promised with a frown, setting the flowers in his own lap as he sat up with Chris. "I'll be ok. I won't move from your side if it scares you that much. And I... I don't want to be away from you either. It was bad enough being without you once. If I did again, I would rather die than be without you again." He insisted, kissing him lightly. "Whether we find a way or we don't, promise you'll always stay close to me?" He almost begged.
His eyes widened, "Why wouldn't I? And stray from your beautiful sun-like face?" He said, kissing his cheek, lacing both of their hands together, "I won't part from you willingly, ever again." X said firmly, "Seth...I want you to be my husband. We...lets get married soon!" He said, his heart pacing faster. He wanted their union solidified, just encase something did happen.
"Really?" he breathed, his hands tightening on Chris's. "Yes! I'd love to marry you." He promised excitedly, shifting his weight so his knees were folded under himself as he looked back at Chris. "How official should it be? Do you want witnesses? Are you going to marry us?" He babbled cheerfully. Now that his initial worries were gone, he had relaxed a bit to his normal self around Chris, which was generally about a hundred times more talkative than he was around other people.
He laughed, "Yes, witnesses would be nice," He thought of Valakth, and his own boyfriend. He would want him there, even if Valak didn't want X at his wedding. "Me, marry us? Not sure how that would work." He imagined himself running back and forth between the spot for the priest and the one for the groom. He smiled widely. "Alright, if there is a cathedral or a church somewhere still standing that isn't overrun with the undead, we'll do it." He wanted this to be a big deal. Gather as many survivors as he can to be witnesses.
"What about your friend Valak? If he's a god like you, he could do it." Seth suggested, leaning forward to rest his forehead against X's. "And if he's with anyone, they can be our witnesses. It doesn't need to be a big deal. It doesn't even need to be in a church. As long as you're there, it's good enough for me." He promised, tilting his head down to kiss him gently.
"Valakath?" He bit his lip. He couldn't see Valak marrying him and Seth. Valak didn't exactly seem to enjoy X's company, it would be hard to get him to agree to the attend the service, much less have him preside over the ceremony itself. "I WANT it to be a big deal. I'm marrying you, it's a big deal to me. YOU'RE a big deal to me."
"I don't know who else we'd have do it." Seth shrugged helplessly, gently detangling his fingers from the god's to pick up the flower chain again, continuing it. "And you're a big deal to me. But you're all that matters. I don't need a big, fancy ceremony to prove that. You're who I'm marrying, you're who's important. I couldn't care less about anyone else going." He smiled slightly. "You're all I need there to have it perfect for me."
swore i posted omg so sorry
Sure, it was a prideful thing. Wants to rub it in everyone else's faces that X had gotten the best human lover there was. And what, while a whore and a prostitute, he was the one who had one a god's heart. "You're perfect to me." He said back, kissing his nose with a wide grin, from ear to ear.
"But you're biased to think I am, since you love me and all." Seth teased, smiling slightly at the kiss. He leaned forward to rest his head against X's shoulder, sitting perpendicular to him. After a moment he finished the crown in his hands and reached up, gently placing it on Chris's head.
don't worry about it :)
He sighed and kissed his cheek, "Oh you. You are perfect, no matter what you say. You outshine the sun!" He smiled at the flower crown and rested his head against Seth's, so that they touched. "I can't wait. Oh, and where should we honeymoon," X asked, half jokingly.
He looked up at him with a slight smile, closing his eyes and leaning in to the touch. "Nothing could shine brighter than you." He promised, closing his eyes as he settled against him comfortably. "Somewhere warm, with new types of flowers. One of the islands?" He mused.
He smiled, "We'd need to hop on a ship. A voyage would be nice," X thought out loud. He'd love to be on the sea, away from the undead. Away from it all. Just with Seth, pretending as if the world was not falling apart around them.
"Can't you just teleport?" Seth asked curiously, looking up at him. "Well, I mean, we know you can. Can you bring people with?" He mused, picking at the flowers around them and starting to weave them together once again. "It would be nice to be away."
He blushed, ashamed, "Never had a reason to try before. And I wouldn't want to risk taking you along on my first attempt and having you get hurt. Like, only half of you teleport or whatever." He said, worried about the possible dangers Seth's body might face during transmission.
"It's alright, love." Seth frowned slightly as he looked up, kissing one of Chris's reddened cheeks. "We don't need to go anywhere. As long as you stay here with me; no poofing and leaving me!" He warned teasingly, kissing him lightly.
"Oh, I'd never!" He smiled widely, kissing Seth back roughly. He pulled him into his lap. "Now, what does my lovely fiance want to do today?" He inquired, nuzzling his neck and the hickeys he left there from last night's romp.
Almost immediately Seth curled against him happily, settling into him as he weaved the flowers. "I don't know. Whatever you do. As long as I can spend time with you." He asked hopefully, tilting his head just a fraction to rest it against chris.
He smiled softly at that. "Do you want to go out and find something for you to eat?" He asked, as a god, he didn't require food to survive, it was not a need. But humans had to eat and drink or else they'd starve and die. And he didn't want to lose Seth. And it wasn't like X didn't enjoy good food, it just offered no sustenance or nutrients to him.
"Probably should." Seth agreed, though he showed no signs of wanting to move from his position comfortably settled on Chris's lap. "Where should we look though? I think most places will already be raided and empty." He frowned, ducking a daisy into the crown carefully.
He frowned, "I have no idea. Do you, by chance?" X didn't need to eat, so he hadn't been stocking up on food or resources. If he had known he'd come across Seth so soon, he would have done so. He wish he had, he didn't want his lover to only be able to eat, well, him. As fun as that was.ohboydidijustsaythat?
He shook his head with a slight frown, sighing faintly. "The food I got was just what I traded people for." He explained with a shrug, looking thoughtful. "Is there any around this camp area? There could be something still here, since we were too occupied to look last night." He chuckled slightly.i mean it's accurate
He nodded, "We could check within the offices" He suggested, the offices within the actual building, not the parking lot. He hoped there was more useful stuff within the building, food, water, plumbing, shelter, equipment. Because, at the moment, they had none.
He nodded in agreement, shifting away from him just slightly to put the flower crown he'd just finished on his own head, immediately returning to lean against him, though he frowned as it squished his flowers. "There's probably something there. right?" He asked hopefully, reaching out to interlace his fingers together with Chris's.
"Hopefully," was all X could say, not wanting to give Seth false hope. "But we'd have to go and check...so get dressed." He said as he placed a kiss on Seth's nose. Christos stood up and began to dress himself, hoping he didn't smell like sex.
