CHAPTER ONE ;; p e r s o n a l i t y┰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┰
↳ Unsurprisingly, the God of Eternity, is eternally awkward. He's stiff, and upon first impression, even a little bit robotic. Social interaction has never been, and probably never will be, his forte. Even in the ancient times, when he was held in such high regards, he fumbled over his words, struggling to talk to anyone really, especially his "wife". Of whom he never really held in romantic regards. In fact he's never really regarded anyone romantically.
Despite his mysterious, often closed off disposition, he has many admirers due to his rather youthful glow, one that not many of the other teachers have. Sometimes he's even mistaken as another student by the new years that come into his classroom. And occasional he plays along, just because he finds it entertaining. He typically doesn't act very lively while teaching, but he's lenient and very devoted to his work, which leads most of his students to highly respect him. Though this fact might be attributed to who he really is, and what he stands for.
But the most defining trait, and likely the least known about him, is the fact that he is not who he seems. He disguises himself as the god of food, festivities. When in reality he was the first ruler of the cosmos, self made from primordial chaos, the father of the fates, father time himself. It's very possible that people are so quick to trust him and to revere him because of their natural inclination to respect the fearful. Something raw, something visceral, like animal instinct.
Considering he's always viewed Zeus' lack of modesty with a certain deep seeded malice, he tries his best to avoid being viewed in the same manner by concealing his true identity. He dislikes the idea of people thinking of him in the same way they think of Zeus, and slightly fears the possibility that it would change the way people initially view him. But that isn't the only thing he conceals from the public eye. In fact, he hides the majority of his interests and the things that make him who he is from other people. Maybe it's a lack of trust, or maybe he just doesn't see the point in doing so, but rarely does he ever speak of his personal life to his students or peers alike.
In reality he's kind of just a witty dork that reads a lot and spends more time watching nature documentaries than he probably should. He has a fascination with whales in particular, and often doodles them on his paperwork in his spare time. Of which he has a lot of. When he isn't absorbing copious amounts of literary knowledge or fanboying over the modern, live action adaptation of Moby Dick, he's usually ogling the jocks on campus. He's always admired the male form, finding robust muscles far more attractive than petite femininity. Not that he doesn't appreciate the female body either.
As much as he hates to admit it, the demigods are certainly attractive.

CHAPTER TWO ;; h i s t o r y┰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┰
↳Aside from being self made at the beginning of time from primordial chaos, fathering the fates and doing some other pretty great stuff, Aion doesn't like to think too highly of himself and maintains a modest view of his accomplishments. But that's really just how he sees them. Accomplishments. Marrying the goddess of inevitability was just that, an accomplishment.
They were things he needed to do in order to perpetuate the passage of times. Ironically marrying Ananke, not out of love, but out of inevitability. They had an averagely happy marriage, and at first he thought he'd be content with it. Even going as far as to birth several children. Though in reality he found himself drifting apart, and she did too. Eventually they just got to a point where they both agreed that it simply wouldn't work any longer. And after doing what they needed to do, fulfilling their destinies together, they parted and went their separate ways.
Throughout the years, he remained rather lowkey, watching time proceed forward, observing people and their wars, their petty problems. At times he resided on Mount Olympus, but decided to step down after finding that the other gods themselves were also just as painfully petty and hypocritical. He never really found himself interested in any of them, and couldn't find a friend in those who couldn't see time in the same way as himself. Besides his ex wife of course, of whom he still had a good relationship with, even gossiping with on occasion.
He was however, very interested in the idea of an academy for the demigods. He saw potential in them. As an ancient deity of divine power, these were the moments he waited for, anticipating them with patient intrigue. And so he agreed to become a teacher, under the facade of a different god. He wanted to see students in their raw form. Their truest selves.

CHAPTER ONE ;; p e r s o n a l i t y┰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┰
↳ No one is quite as joyful and classy as Persephone, the literal Queen of Hell. She is alarmingly graceful, in both speech and physical form, and she spends her days on the surface raising plants from seeds to flowering beauties. And while she may seem naive and innocent at first, she can easily be likened to a fox in her resourcefulness and how clever she can be if she tries.
She's a very easy going teacher who doesn't demand very much from her students, aside from what the curriculum requires. She loves being a teacher in fact, because it gives her an excuse to socialize, and boy does she love to talk and flirt and sing and, well she's just a very charismatic person. Regardless of her naturally flirtatious nature, she is still very loyal to Hades, her husband, even after all of these years, even if their relationship was rather rocky at first.
But what she doesn't love is the underworld. It fills her with a certain all encompassing anxiety that she's never really experienced before. And considering she's incapable of not going there, it's not like she can do anything about it. At this point she's pretty much accepted her position as queen for all eternity, begrudgingly so anyways.

CHAPTER TWO ;; h i s t o r y┰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┰
↳The days were fleeting, in those ancient times. When the sun beamed down on a land flourishing all year round, flowers blooming in every meadow, wheat and barley painting the fields. But like every good thing, those days quickly came to an unfortunate end when Persephone was stolen from the surface. She was born to Demeter, a caring mother who made sure that the harvests were plentiful, that the plants would grow. A mother who was outraged when she learned that her beautiful daughter had gone missing. For a considerably long time, Demeter searched, with help from Helios and Hecate, both of whom had witnessed the abduction in one way or another.
She was terrified at first. Raging seas of fire, figures of shadows waiting for eternity. And a man rowing a boat across the Styx. She'd heard of this place, and only experienced it in her most vivid of nightmares. But now it was real. And she had to deal with it. She didn't like Hades. Not at first. But with time, she learned to love him. She learned to see the good in him, in his world. His unfortunate end of a rigged bargain.
Even so, she knew she needed to return to the surface. There was no way she could remain underground, with her mother infuriated above and absolutely refusing to let anything grow, she had little time left with her newfound love. He allowed her to leave, but gifted her twelve pomegranate seeds. Each representing a month in the year. She ate six of them, unbeknownst to the fact that she'd just doomed herself into remaining in the underworld for half the year, for all eternity.
And when the time came, and she learned her fate, she was absolutely infuriated. But she knew she could do nothing about it. As angry as she was, this was what the universe had decided, and this was the life she had to live. And it was the life she did live, for centuries she spent her time, half on the surface, half in the underworld. Soon coming to embrace both sides of herself, and even forgive her husband. It was the life she was content with until she caught wind of the academy, and decided that she'd spend her half year on the surface teaching there. Living there. Meeting people of all types, further enjoying what life has to give her.

Biography➛
↳[personality:] Pontus is often seen as emotionless, stoic and a bit distant from people. It's rare to get an emotion out of him, even if the emotion is anger. He has trouble showing much emotion. He feels them, he just can rarely show them. However, due to his honesty, if you ask him how he feels about something, he'll tell you immediately without a second thought. Pontus is very patient but he takes his job seriously. If people are goofing around in his class and aren't really their to learn, he'll get annoyed with them. Though again, he wont get angry. Pontus is very intelligent and knows anything that has to do with the ocean. The ocean is probably the only thing that can get any sort of emotion out of him. Besides the God Aion, of course, of whom it's pretty obvious he thinks highly of.
Although it's rare for Pontus to show emotion, it's not rare. He can be sarcastic from time to time and on occasions, you might get a smile out of him. But it's so rare, it will most likely shock those around him.
Pontus can be a bit possessive and easily jealous when it comes to Aion. In fact, messing with Aion is probably the only way you can get a negative emotion out of Pontus. He values Aion highly and would go to dangerous lengths in order to ensure Aion is happy.
Pontus chooses to stick by himself mainly. In fact, the only god he hangs around when out side of school, is Aion. He can tolerate other gods and people, he just enjoys the small amount of time he gets outside of school to just sit down and read or write, sometimes even to just grade his class's papers, in silence.
Pontus is rather kind and patient. He will help any student that needs it who is in his class and will even stay behind late hours to tutor them, if they require it. He's an observer. He watches how people react to certain things and will use that when it comes to teaching them. He believes each child has their own way of solving problems though no matter which way you solve it, if you still get the same answer, you are correct. For example, 2 + 2 and 2 times 2 still get the answer 4. So, each child, if he sees they're struggling, he'll find the way they learn best and use that to teach them.http://24.media.tumblr.com/b7a30b2d48...
↳[history:] Pontus was born to the Goddess of the Earth, Gaea along side his sister, Thalassa (Spirit of the Sea). Pontus was said to been born without a father. Some even say he was born without coupling. However, there are few people who believe his father was Aether. Though, Pontus didn't know either way. His mother never told him, and he never asked. He was one of the few gods born before the arrival of the Olympians. With his mother, he had 5 children, Nereus (The Old Man of the Sea), Thaumas (The Wonder of the Sea), Phorcys, Ceto and Eurybia. However, when questioned about it, Pontus just says it was in the heat of the moment. He needed offspring where as his mother wanted more children, and it sort of just.. Happened.
After he left his mother, he returned to the seaside where he lived for a few years before having seen a young man he took interest in. Aion. This man happened to be a god as well. He quickly befriended him before following him here to become a professor as well, where he got to teach the one thing he knew everything about. Oceanography.https://68.media.tumblr.com/5ef0217bd...

A thing I don't try to denythey say i resemble Jake Hold
( ♜ appearance ) With his pale skin and bright ginger hair, Seth is easily recognizable, especially compared to the other Egyptian gods. He's tall and lanky at 6'3, though built decently. He's almost always standing out of the way, with his arms crossed and head ducked, and he doesn't make eye contact much. It's a shame; he has pretty green eyes, framed by excellent cheekbones and a sharp jawline. Small freckles are splashed across his nose and cheeks, making him oddly cute for a god known for murder. With his awkward nature, he would almost be mistaken for a student if he wasn't so recognizable.
His ginger hair is soft to the touch, shorter on the sides and a bit longer on the top, usually swept up and to the side. Given his dislike of speaking and being around people in general, his voice is rather soft and delicate. With foreigners in his sphere of power, however, he has an unidentifiable accent, enunciating his words carefully. He doesn't have many scars but quite a few tattoos, mostly his chest and lower arms. Each ear has a small gauge piercing, very small. This is in sharp contrast to his usual style. He almost always wears suits and ties, at least button ups and slacks.
Too many tears have had to fall
Don't you know I'm so tired of it all
( ♖ personality ) With his fearsome reputation, Seth is quite different than people expect him to be. He's fairly quiet, preferring to not talk to people whenever possible. Most assume that he's the silent, brooding but deadly type when in reality he's just shy. He knows people don't like and fear him, and he doesn't want to make others uncomfortable. When it comes down to it and he does have to talk, he's rather soft spoken, often ducking his head and avoiding eye contact. He's better with his students, as lecturing doesn't require a lot of personal interaction. He does enjoy teaching, and in one on one situations, with students especially, he's a lot better. He's good at helping students understand things for his class, and he's always willing to lend a sympathetic ear if they need one... though given his past, most wouldn't go to him for it.
He may love his students, but no one could hold a candle to his own kids. He's incredibly proud of Anubis and Bata, and he makes no secret of that, to them or others. It destroyed him when they had their feud, because all he wanted was for them to be happy and safe. Bata's death broke his heart more than anything else could, and he was inconsolable until his son was back. He knows they can take care of themselves, but he's very protective over them still. But he doesn't always want to be. He avoids violence whenever he can, because he knows how he gets and he doesn't want to hurt people.
Unfortunately, he has a penchant for aggression. He's trying to get it under control, but the god of violence trying not to be violent doesn't always go well. He's incredibly temperamental and likely to get angry, making him lash out. He doesn't want to hurt people, but it just... happens. If a conversation makes him uncomfortable or upset he has a habit of leaving mid sentence, fleeing rather than risking getting too mad and lashing out.

Finding out the secrets words won't tell
( ♜ history ) Nut and Geb had five children: Horus, Seth, Osiris, Isis, and Nephthys. Osiris and Isis married, and Seth and Nephythys followed in suit. Still, it was obvious neither of them were happy. Seth roamed from his wife frequently, unable to see his sister as a wife. But she was all he had, and he learned to be as happy as he could be, even if being with a woman never felt quite right to him. Many things never felt right to him, like being around people in general.
He was hated, vilified even when he hadn't done anything to anyone. Being ignored and hated for so long left him jaded and bitter, and he grew jealous of his brother. Osiris was loved where he was hated, and Seth wanted that. He wanted to be loved the way Osiris was, so he lashed out. And when the god of violence lashed out, things never ended well.
Seth tore his brother apart, literally. Pieces of the god were scattered across the globe, and Seth was left in his wake. He became king, of course, but he wasn't loved. Nothing good came of it for him. He gained a throne but he had lost his brother, and when he calmed down from his bloodlust and without the jealousy in the way, he remembered how much he had loved him.
Of course, having killed a god, his brother no less, nothing improved for Seth. No one liked him, but he could understand their reasoning now. He tried to change, but it was hard for a god of violence to not be violent. Especially with Horus, Osiris's brother, challenging him for the throne every step of the way. Horus went at him in every way possible, challenging him to fights, taking him before a judge, all of the above. Seth, wanting to avoid violence, didn't fight as hard as he could and subsequently, Horus won most of the conflicts. Seth loved his throne but after a certain point he just wanted it to be over, but the judge preferred Seth to Horus and the battles raged on. Even Isis tried to step in, trying to kill Seth, but missing and hitting her son Horus instead.
But Seth, who had emotionally given up on this a long time ago, liked Horus. He was cute when he was vicious, and Seth just wanted everything to be over and maybe have a legitimate shot at Horus. The fighting didn't stop, and he finally gave in to his emotions and hit on Horus. Horus accepted a proposition, at the condition that Seth give some of his strength to Horus. Seth accepted of course, and so the two went for it. Seth generally topped but Horus refused to let him finish in him, but honestly Seth didn't care.
He did care, however, when Horus brought it up in front of the judge. Horus claimed to have dominated Seth, which Seth, knowing was a lie, objected to. The judge checked, however, and Horus was proven to be correct when his sperm answered from inside Seth. Seth was furious, eventually finding out that when Horus had given Seth his favorite food - lettuce - it hadn't exactly been ranch on top.
Seth was willing to take an honest defeat, but this was embarrassing and a flat out lie, and he challenged Horus to a final contest. Of course Horus cheated, but Seth was tired of the fighting. He accepted defeat, but the judge - still favoring Seth - officially ruled it a tie, giving Seth control of half of Egypt, the deserts, and Horus the kingship.
Still, although no one liked Seth, no one could deny that he was an excellent warrior. He hated violence, but that was what he was and what people used him for. So when Apep came after Ra, it was Seth they called on. He didn't want people to get hurt, so he stepped up to protect them. He defeated the serpent, and for once he began to get hopeful that maybe, maybe he would start to lose his negative reputation with the other gods and the humans. No such luck, as the humans wrote that it was Horus that had protected him.
Seth mostly retreated for the next few years, just staying to himself and trying to control his violence, fix his reputation. He didn't want to come to the school at first, fearing that he would hurt someone else. It was too easy for him to lost his temper. But he was promised a quiet room, and reluctantly he accepted the teaching position.
No one knows the hard times I went through

Biography➛
↳[personality:] Aphrodite is the Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation, but despite her beautiful appearance and how many children she has, she isn't really considered a slut. Aphrodite knows how to get what she wants, but she prefers not to use her flirtatious and seductive side unless she absolutely has to. Aphrodite is very wise and kind and uses her powers for good, like to cal people or have them fall in love with each other. That sort of stuff. Aphrodite is very beautiful and although she knows it, she's not just someone who will go to someone just because they're desperate. Or she is. But that's a rare case.
Aphrodite may not be the Goddess of war or combat, but she knows how to protect herself when she needs to. She isn't someone who needs protecting and has a pretty high tolerance for pain. She's patient and gentle but she isn't someone to mess with either.
Aphrodite has a sort of cheerful yet mature look and personality to her. She always has a smile on her face and tries to get others to think highly of themselves. She is a pretty laid back teacher as well. She'll allow you to re-take tests or re-do homework if your grades are low and will even give you extra work to up your grade higher than the class, if you request it, of course.http://i.imgur.com/vjRIKXr.gif
↳[history:] Aphrodite has many upbringings, but only one of them are true. She was NOT the daughter of Zues and Dione. Aphrodite, among other gods, was one of the few that didn't have any parents, she just.. Came to exist on her own. Sorta. Aphrodite came to be when Cronus cut off Uranus's genitals and threw them into the sea, and she arose from the sea foam. Because of her beauty, other gods feared that their rivalry for her favours might lead to conflict and war; Zeus married her to Hephaestus, who, because of his ugliness and deformity, was not seen as a threat. Aphrodite had many lovers—both gods, such as Ares, and men, such as Anchises. She also was both lover and surrogate mother to Adonis. Many lesser beings were said to be children of Aphrodite. Despite all the children she has and all the gods, and men, she has been with, Aphrodite has never actually known true love. The one man she had thought she had loved, Adonis, she had thought had died. This man, of whom she loved and had fought over Persephone for, was slain by a wild bore, leaving Aphrodite there to mourn over his dead body.
Aphrodite had gotten Persephone to bring Adonis back to life, though just like before, he was told to stay 6 months with her and 6 months with Persephone. But, she still loves him and seems pleased with him being alive again.
Aphrodite came here as a teacher some years ago and began teaching as the Professor of Legends and Myths. Because in her lifetime, she has heard many legends and myths about both mortals and gods and she took an interest in it. She loves teaching these things to children and telling them which Myths were real and which ones weren't.http://i.imgur.com/TwyyNEe.gif

; ♠ [ i ] will not keep calm ╾╾╾╾ It is Zephyrus's presence that announces the coming of spring, with warm, gentle breezes. The god himself used to be the same, once, being referred to as the gentlest of the wind gods. Unfortunately for all that encounter him, that part of him has long since faded. Ever since he had his heartbroken by Hyacinth, any sense of gentleness he once felt has left. Hyacinth was the only person Zephyr truly loved, and he's never really gotten over the betrayal, and his anger at himself for killing him.
He's spent the last centuries trying to get over Hyacinth, with everything possible. Drinking, drugs, smoking, anything he can think of. But being a god, the affects on him are much less than they are on the average person. Even his near constant sleeping around hasn't done anything to help. Although he acts perfectly fine, he's still not over Hyacinth. Not that he'd let anyone find that out.
To most people, he's just an asshole. There's no way to sugarcoat it. And he has absolutely no problem with that. Whenever someone calls him one he just shrugs and agrees. The only time he isn't completely a douche is when he's trying to hook up with someone, which is almost constantly. He can be incredibly persistent once someone is in his sights, but he knows where the line is. He's determined, not pushy. He'll hook up with anyone that moves, regardless of gender. Almost everything he does is for himself, for his own pleasure or amusement. Anyone that gets in his way is dismissed and ignored, and he has no problem telling them. He's not overly concerned with what people think of him, and he's not only rude and arrogant, he's downright rude. ; ♠ [ i ] will raise hell and break shit ╾╾╾╾ Zephyrus was born to Eos and Astraeus, the youngest of their four children. From the start he was the gentlest, generally getting along with all of his siblings and his parents. Because he was so gentle, he was the one that people preferred. It landed him with briefly dating Iris, having a son named Pothos. At one point both he and Boreas had their eyes on a nymph named Chloris, but it was Zephyr who won her over by making her the goddess of flowers. She choose him, and he was delighted to take her home, where they had a son named Karpos. Unfortunately for Chloris, Zephyr never really loved her. He liked her well enough, but mostly it was a case of wanting to one up his brother. She didn't love him either, and soon enough they grew bored with each other. She asked to be returned to her home, and he had no problem taking her home. Rather quickly he was taken up by Podarge, and they had two sons: the famed horses Balios and Xanthos.
But it was only when he found Hyacinth that Zephyr truly grew attached to anyone. He fell in love with the mortal rather quickly, and came to court him. Hyacinth was thrilled that a god liked him, but he didn't love Zephyr the way the god did him. But of course, why let the god know that? And he was happy enough. So he stayed with Hyacinth, although he started sleeping with Apollo when the sun god came to him. He finally left Zephyrus for Apollo, which broke the wind god's heart. It was the only person he had loved, and now he was gone, after an intense betrayal. The upset Zephyr lashed out, throwing a spear and killing Hyacinth. To a certain extent, he still blames his brothers for not using their control over wind to prevent him from making that mistake. But Apollo was furious that he had died, and he came after Zephyr.
Luckily for Zephyr, Eros got involved. After all, killing Hyacinth was an act of love, which Eros had control over. He interfered, preventing Apollo from attacking Zephyrus. In return, he was to help Eros out whenever he asked, practically at the beck and call of the love god. And for the next few centuries, that's almost all Zephyr has done. Just find someone, usually a human or demigod, have his fun, and move on. He surfaced briefly to help Eros by saving Psyche's life while she was still human, but for the most part he vanished from the view of the gods. Zephyr tried everything to get over Hyacinth the mortal way, from drugs to drinking. Unfortunately it doesn't have much affect on him. That doesn't mean he's stopped either, he still uses them both for fun.( mother ) -- Eos ▸ Goddess of Dawn

↳[personality:] Hades isn't someone you want to piss off. Which, unfortunate for most, is very easy to do when it comes to him. Hades, to sum it up, is a hotheaded, egotistical, sarcastic asshole. He knows he's fucking hot and he uses that to his advantage. Despite that, he remains loyal to his wife Persephone.
Hades is known as being a very fearful God. Even those who made sacrifices to him never spoke his name and would avert their eyes in doing so.
Hades, as listed above, is very easy to anger. He jokes around a lot and rarely ever is serious. If you're someone who follows the rules or talks back and argues with him, you'll automatically get on his bad side. Hades has quite the.. Dirty mouth, when it comes to speaking. But, when teaching class, he will hold his tongue most of the time.
Hades is not, however, an evil god, for although he is stern, cruel, and unpitying, he was still just. Hades ruled the Underworld and was therefore most often associated with death and feared by men, but he was not Death itself — the actual embodiment of Death was Thanatos.
Hades, like many aggressive assholes, does have someone who, among everyone else, is the only one who can calm him, and that's his wife, Persephone. To everyone he's a jackass, but to Persephone, he's loyal, loving and sort of like a love sick puppy. He absolutely adores her and spoils her at any chance given. One touch, look or even the sound of her voice is all it takes to calm him down and keep him from killing someone. She is the moon in his darkness, the fire in his underworld, the rose in the field full of daisies. She's the only one who can get a kind side out of him.http://www.nosotras.com/wp-content/up...
↳[history:] See More Hades Pictures >
Hades was the brother of Zeus and Poseidon. After the overthrow of their father, Cronus, he drew lots with them to share the universe. He drew poorly, which resulted in becoming lord of the underworld and ruler of the dead. Nevertheless, he was not considered to be death itself, as this was a different god, called Thanatos. Greedy like his brother Poseidon, he was mainly interested in increasing his subjects, and anyone whose deeds resulted in people dying was favored by him. The Erinnyes (the Furies) were welcomed guests in his kingdom.
So, Hades spent most of his time in his dark realm. Formidable in battle, he proved his ferocity in the famous Titanomachy, the battle of the Olympians versus the Titans, which established the rule of Zeus.
The consort of Hades was Persephone, represented by the Greeks as the beautiful daughter of Demeter. And upon seeing her and watching her for many days, he had her abducted. It was love at first sight for him, but, not so much with her. She hated him, and he knew it. He didn't blame her. He did kidnap her, after all. But he was determined to get her to love him back. However.. With his anger issues, this devilish place and, not to mention his three headed dog that he absolutely loved, it was going to be difficult. But, as time went on, he eventually got through to the girl's heart.
To his dismay, however, he had to let her go. He loved her dearly and hated to part ways, but he knew he had to. He knew just how much she wanted to go back to seeing the beautiful flowers, the mild temperature, the moon. You couldn't see any of those here. And most importantly, she couldn't see her mother here, for those who entered could not leave so easily. So, he gave her twelve pomegranate seeds. Each representing a month in the year. He had watched her eat 6. Now, he didn't tell her for a reason that these would force her to have to stay here half of the year. Down here, in the Underworld. He knew she didn't know this information, and yet, he held it away from her. He had to have some way to be able to see her and be with her. To be able to touch her soft skin and kiss those warm, gentle lips of hers. If he couldn't, he'd surely go even more insane than he already was. She was furious, however, when she learned. Hades knew she would be and he sort of just pushed it off, but deep inside, it truly did hurt him to know she was upset with him for this. But, he had accepted it. So whenever down here, he always tries his best to cheer her up.
He even returns to the surface whenever she does, but he keeps his distance from her, for he does not want to ruin the beauty. The beauty she turns into when she's gardening and now, teaching. However, he's always near by, watching her. And at nights in there house together, he still gets time with her. Once she came to this academy, he followed and began teaching as the Professor for Defense of the Dark Arts just so that he could be closer to her.http://www.ragap.es/image/n/625/0/uh....

Standing at a solid 6 feet tall, Artemis is undoubtably a woman of some stature. Combining that with the fact that she's incredibly fit, she's certainly impressive. Her spine is always straight and her shoulders always back, only making her more intimidating. Her skin is a darker tan with a smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks, possibly for being around the sun god so much. Long, dark brown hair tumbles down to the middle of her back, almost constantly a bit wavy and tangled. The front is almost always pulled out of the way, and it is frequently in a braid or ponytail. Despite it's generally wild look her hair is soft, with almost no bangs around her face.
She has a small, heart shaped face, with a delicate jawline and very slight cheekbones, though there's no doubt that she is a female. She's oddly delicate for as fierce as she is, with even her brown eyes seeming soft and warm. When she's doing anything involving her lunar powers they turn a pure silver, and her pupils are odd. They change shape, matching the phase the moon is currently in. She has a few very small tattoos, both on her left arm. A delicate wolf on her inner wrist and a moon and arrow design just above that tattoo, on her forearm.resembles || Katrina Law

For the most part, Artemis doesn't really get along with most people. She's easily offended and violence is generally her answer, lashing out immediately. Of course her main weapon is her silver bow, and there are more than a few students who retain a scar from her arrows. She much prefers the animals and wilds to people, and is thought of by some as almost feral. She doesn't really know how to interact with people very well, and struggles and stutters with social interaction. She's blunt, almost painfully so, and rarely stops to avoid hurting feelings. She doesn't usually intend to hurt people, she just doesn't think to go out of her way to not. She's incredibly vengeful, and many people have felt her wrath when they offended her.
Only her brother can really get away with anything with her. She is a bit more lenient with her Hunters as well and can enjoy their company, but she gets frustrated and fed up with them quickly. Apollo is the only male that she puts up with anything from, and it's obvious to everyone she adores her brother. She might complain about him a lot, but anyone else who says anything against him is at risk. Although she really doesn't understand Apollo's sleeping around habits, she is still the one to talk with him the next day when they inevitably leave him, doing her best to cheer him up.
Still, those emotions are difficult for her. She's incredibly cold and aloof, avoiding all people whenever possible. She doesn't show much emotion besides occasional anger, although if an animal gets hurt around her she seems anguished. The school is difficult for her with her aversion to people, but it creates major issues with the male students. She is biased against all of them and is quick to lash out, losing her temper with them even faster. She's crossing the line from feminist to misandrist at this point, and she'd be perfectly happy if there were no males, as long as she had her brother. But Apollo likes them so she tries to not lose her temper... though she usually fails.fortes|| Archery, hunting, fighting, anything involving aim (whether basketball or throwing a spear), agility

[♦] H I S T O R Y
Everything started when Hera found out that Leto was pregnant by her husband, Zeus. Furious and ashamed of this betrayal from Zeus, she cursed Leto not to find a solid ground or island on Earth to give birth to her children. Leto wandered around all Greece to find a place to give birth but people didn't let her bear her children close to their homes, afraid of Hera's anger. That is when Zeus emerged an island from the sea so that Leto would find a refugee. This island was Delos, which was believed to be a floating island. Leto found a safe refugee to give birth on Delos, which was surrounded by swans. The delivery of Artemis was painless but the birth of Apollo lasted for nine whole days and nights because Hera had kidnapped Eileithyia, the goddess of childbirth. With the absence of Eileithyia, Artemis was the one to help her mother deliver her twin brother, Apollo.
As a child Artemis asked daddy Zeus to grant her wishes – to remain a virgin forever; to be the Phaesporia or Light Bringer; to have a bow and arrow and a knee-length tunic so that she could hunt; and for twenty Amnisides Nymphs as handmaidens to watch her dogs and bow while she rested. She wished for only a single city city dedicated to her, but to rule the mountains and the forests. Zeus was such a softie that he gave her what she asked.
Artemis has clashed with many gods, mainly Adonis, the god of beauty and desire. It is another tale of her vengeance. Aphrodite, Adonis's lover, had killed Hippolytus, one of Artemis's best hunters and friends. When Artemis heard of how Adonis laughed about how Hippolytus had deserved his fate, the enraged goddess hunted him down with ease, though she was unable to kill another god.
Luckily, Artemis has never claimed to be perfect. Later in her life, She overheard Aura, goddess of cool breezes and a sword maiden, talking. She said that Artemis's body was too feminine, and questioned whether Artemis was actually a virgin. Furious, Artemis told Nemesis, goddess of revenge, what had happened. Nemisis came up with a plot, and manipulated a drunk Dionysus into raping Aura. Aura gave birth to two sons, but was overcome by madness. When Artemis saw how Nemesis had avenged the slight, the horrified goddess interfered. Just in time to save the second son from the mad Aura, who had killed and eaten the first.
Orion is one of her most famous tales. He was her friend, and they hunter together for nearly a year. But Orion was struck by the disease that Eros and Aphrodite spread so effectively, and fell in love with the beautiful goddess. Apollo visited her and tried to tell her this, but Artemis had so much faith in her hunting companion she didn't believe her brother. But as time went on Orion grew frustrated with her blindness and refusals, and attempted to assault Artemis. The goddess called for her brother to help her, and Apollo sent a scorpion to attack Orion while he helped Artemis. Orion lept into the sea to escape the creature, and Artemis took advantage and shot him with her arrows.
The tale repeated itself in the less well known story of Acteon. Acteon was a hunter and one day while out hunting in the forest, he saw her bathing naked in a sacred spring. Acteon liked what he saw and tried to force himself on her. Artemis did the logical thing any woman would do, and reacted with fury and vengeance. Using her wild powers, she changed him into a stag. The stag was then devoured by Acteon’s own hunting dogs.
The virgin had to defend her honor yet again when the twin giants, the Aloadai, tried to make her and Hera their brides. It was easy for Artemis to escape on her own, but she wouldn't leave Hera, despite the Queen's dislike of her. Artemis distracted the giants and got them to chase her into the forest. She changed into a pure white doe and ran between the Aloadai, and when they shot at the deer she dodged the spears and they ended up killing each other.Modern:
"Let none disparage Artemis. For Oineus dishonoured her altar and no pleasant struggles came upon his city. Nor let any contend with her in shooting of stags or in archery. For the son of Atreus [Agamemnon] vaunted him not that he suffered small requital. Neither let any woo the Maiden; for not Otos, nor Orion wooed her to their own good. Nor let any shun the yearly dance; for not tearless to Hippo [queen of the Amazones] was her refusal to dance around the altar." - Callimachus
Unlike the other gods, Artemis has not tried to fit into human society. She only ventures into cities and purposefully mingles with mortals when she is going to rescue a maiden she feels is being hurt. Other than that she stays in the woods, sometimes accompanying her Hunters. She cares for those girls deeply, and will always come to their aid when called.
She doesn't understand why the other gods are so obsessed with mortals and their world. It's all too noisy and... civilized for a goddess of the wild. So instead of playing with mortals like the others do, she keeps to herself. It is not uncommon for her to vanish into the woods hunting, and not be seen by mortals or even the other gods for a year. She may go and visit her Hunters, but she is very independent and doesn't stay with them for long.
She is not generally one to go visiting other gods, though she doesn't turn them away when they visit her. Usually. But she does search out her twin sometimes, and he is one of the few males that she will voluntarily and happily go hunting with.
The only reason she is at the school is because her brother asked her to be, and she knows he won't be able to handle it. Besides, there's no way she's leaving him alone.Grandfather || Kronus & Koios

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━P H O E B U S - A P O L L O radiant, shining - to destroy『Φοῖβος Ἀπόλλων』━ leto's golden mama's boy ━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
roman form is sol - 'the sun.' phoebus from phoebe, maternal grandmother.
━━━━ delos-born · male · pansexual · god of the sun ━━━━Apollo was born unto Leto and Zeus nine days after his twin Artemis was born on the floating island of Delphi. In fact, she helped deliver him. At only four days old, Apollo had mastered the art of archery and petitioned the god Hephaestus to endow him with a golden bow and arrow, which he then used to slay Python - a dragon/serpent sent by Hera to torment Leto. After his defeat of Python, Apollo established the Oracle of Delphi as recompense, for Python was the child of Gaea, and Gaea complained to Zeus about Apollo's act. He also established the Pythian games and named his Oracle the Pythia, to honor his great foe.
Cocky after slaying the monster which tormented his mother, he went into the woods, only to come across a young Eros. Because his skill with the bow, he mocked the winged god, saying he was far better than him, and to give up archery. To teach Apollo a lesson on just how powerful the god of love was, he took two arrows - one tipped with gold for love, the other made of lead for hate. Daphne - a follower of Artemis, having sworn off men - was hit with lead, while Apollo was struck with gold. Love at first sight, he tries to approach her, but fear fills her heart and she flees, with Apollo in pursuit, trying to court her with pretty poems, but fumbling over his words, tongue tied by her beauty. In the end, after running about the earth three times over, Daphne is turned into a laurel tree to avoid Apollo's advances, and he never quite got over losing her.
The second love of his life was Hyacinth. He was the first among men to discover homosexual love, having been the catamite of Thamyris, though that relationship was doomed from the start. Apollo sought to make the mortal his, but before he could make good on his intentions to court Hyacinth, Zephyrus flew in and swept the boy off of his feet. Little did the wind god know the two began meeting in secret. Eventually Hyacinth spent more time with Apollo than with Zephyrus, until he had left him for Apollo entirely. Zephyrus came upon the couple playing in a field one day - not to far from his cave home - and in a jealous rage blew the discus they were tossing about so that it struck Hycathin and killed him. Apollo tried to assault Zephyrus, but Eros interceded, protecting the west wind from the sun's fiery rage.
When Hermes was born, he stole Apollo's sacred cows. Outraged, Apollo demanded something to be done to him as punishment. Instead, to make up for it, Hermes made a lyre, a musical instrument, and gave it to Apollo as a peace offering. After that, Hermes and Apollo became the best of friends, so much so that Apollo said to him that he was the most beloved of the gods to him, and Hermes became an Olympian. Soon after, Hermes crafted the reed pipes. Apollo begged for them, so Hermes made a deal with him; he would give him the reed pipes in exchange for the caduceus. Apollo agreed, and then became the god of music. brotp with gay subtext
Apollo was believed to have won the first Olympic games, established to honor Zeus' victory over Kronos and was originally a game for the gods, and is recorded as defeating Ares at boxing and Hermes at racing. So the Ancient Greeks gave laurel branches as rewards to victors in honor of this, as the laurel was the holy tree of Apollo, being of his first love, Daphne.
When Orion, a hunting companion of Artemis, had fallen in love with his virgin sister, he was afraid for her safety and warned her of his affections. When he tried to force himself onto the goddess, Apollo sent a scorpion to kill him. Orion fled, but Artemis shot him down.
When Niobe insulted his mother Leto, saying her children were more numerous, and better overall, Apollo shot arrows at Niobe's seven sons, while Artemis shot arrows at Niobe's seven daughters.
Apollo is also the god who found Chiron and raised him, attributing Chiron's skills and wisdom to Apollo's tutelage. Thus, after Asclepius, the demigod son of Apollo was born, and was raised by Chiron. The centaur taught the demigod in medicine and would drive him to become the greatest of healers. Asclepius is said to have been Apollo's favorite demigod child.
Asclepius became even more skilled in medicine than his father Apollo, most likely because he devoted all of his time to it. With the help of Gorgon Blood (given to him by Athena), Asclepius could cure any illness, heal any injury, and even bring back the dead with The Physician's Cure. He most notably resurrected Hippolytos at his aunt Artemis' request. Furious, Hades forced Zeus to strike Asclepius dead with lightning as punishment for violating the natural laws, as no one cheats death.
Apollo was angered and devastated by his favorite son's death, and he subsequently killed one of the Cyclopes (who forged Zeus's thunderbolts) in retaliation. To prevent a feud, Asclepius was immortalized among the stars as the constellation Ophiuchus.
For his murder of the Cyclopes, Apollo was forced by Zeus to live on earth for a year, stripped of his divinity and godly powers, and forced to serve the mortal King Admetus of Thessaly as a shepherd for a year. Fortunately for Apollo, Admetus was very hospitable, and treated the banished god with great respect. As a reward for his hospitality, Apollo even persuaded the Fates to reprieve Admetus of his fated day of death, as long as Admetus could find someone willing to die in his place.
Hera, enraged at her husband's infidelity, decided to start the first (and last) Olympian riot against Zeus. Hera managed to gain the support of Poseidon, as well as Apollo himself, and Athena. That evening, Apollo, Poseidon, and Athena hid themselves in the hall adjacent to Zeus' royal chambers, awaiting Hera's signal. As soon as Zeus had fallen asleep, all four of them quickly tightly bound the King of Olympus with unbreakable and tightening golden chains. Even chained up and completely immobilized, an infuriated Zeus looked very intimidating. Finally, Poseidon attempted to reason with his brother, and demanded that Zeus be a better ruler. Zeus refused, which prompted Hera to advocate leaving him chained up in his chambers until he agrees. Shortly thereafter, the four Olympians departed for the Throne Room for the first (and last) democratic meeting of the Olympian Council, which proved to be a very cumbersome task.
Fortunately, the violently trashing and bellowing King of Olympus was found by the Nereid Thetis. After convincing Zeus to be merciful towards the rioting Olympians, Thetis managed to find the Hekatonkheire, Briares, by the sea shore. He was more than happy to save Zeus, recalling that he owes his own freedom from Tartarus and Kampê to him. Briares quickly unchained Zeus, after which the latter seized his Master Bolt, and barged into the Throne Room, violently ending the meeting. Zeus remained true to his word, and was merciful towards the rioters, but he still punished them all accordingly.
Apollo was once again forced to live on earth stripped of his divinity and godly powers, and forced to serve Laomedon, the mortal King of Troy. Laomedon ordered Apollo to become his shepherd, and tend to his royal herds. He and Poseidon were forced to build the Walls, and were not rewarded as promised.
The enraged Apollo unleashed a pestilence upon the city, while Poseidon sent a sea monster to snatch away the people of the plain. The oracles foretold deliverance from these evils if King Laomedon would sacrifice his daughter called Hesione, to be devoured by the sea monster.
The King exposed her by fastening Hesione to the rocks near the sea, but luckily the great hero Heracles (Hercules) happened to pass by and rescued the helpless maiden.
During the Trojan War, Apollo was the chief patron and protector of the Trojans and Hector in particular. Apollo shot arrows of horrible plague into the Greek encampment as retribution for Agamemnon's insult to his priest, whose daughter had been captured by them. He demanded her return and the Greeks complied, indirectly causing the anger of Achilles. Apollo also taunted Achilles so that he would chase him, giving the Trojans time to escape back to Troy.
When Diomedes injured Aeneas during a battle, Apollo rescued him after Aphrodite was wounded by Diomedes as well, trying to save her son. He transported the Trojan to Pergamos where his wound was tended by his mother and sister. Throughout the war, he constantly drove on Hector and almost destroyed the Greeks. At the behest of Zeus, Apollo used Zeus' Aegis to force the Greeks back to their ships. He also destroyed the great wall the Greeks built, as easily as a child breaks a sandcastle, according to Homer. Apollo also aided Paris in slaying the invulnerable Achilles by guiding the arrow of his bow into his vulnerable (Achilles') heel. This was payback for Achilles' sacrilege in murdering Troilus, the god's own son by Hecuba, on the very altar of Apollo's own temple. On the topic of children, Apollo had Branchus with a woman from Miletus, though she was married to Smycrus. While she was pregnant with him, she had a vision of being pierced with a ray of light. Branchus received prophetic abilities from Apollo and would be the first son of Apollo to also be his lover - but by far the last.
When Zeus tried to humiliate the defeated gods and Titans by making them teach demigods, stating to tell them to not follow in their footsteps, Apollo once again rose up to combat his father. Not wanting Seth or Hel to be mistreated by Zeus as he had been in the past - as the aging King of Olympus saw morality as only black or white - and was subsequently knocked down. While Apollo feared he'd be made mortal for a third time, instead, Zeus told him he did not have what it took to rule, so why bother to try and overthrow him? To show just how little the sun god knew of responsibility, he banished him not to Earth, but to Pantheonium Academy as the new headmaster, unable to leave campus without a god as a chaperon.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━M Y O N L Y S U N S H I N E , you make me happy when skies are gray.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━ you are my sunshine ━━
you'll never know dear, how much i love you, please don't take my sunshine away.
Apollo is described as arrogant, self-centered, and cocky, as is typical among most gods. He has been obsessed with haikus ever since he visited Japan and also appears to obsess over other kinds of poems, though after Apollo visited Ireland, he obsessed over limericks for a time. Although he considers himself a great poet, he is actually really terrible at it. He loves his 'little' sister Artemis, and while she was born first, Apollo constantly states he is older(also be cause he is taller by a mere 2 inches, making her his little sister in stature, an excuse to continue to call her such). While being the god of truth, he fibs a lot, mainly to exaggerate his own importance. Anything that wounds his pride will result in him being a recluse, locking himself in his office, where only Artemis can console him. Well, her, and any cute male students who want to *ahem* 'cheer him up'. He idolizes his mother greatly, wanting desperately to be her favorite and make her proud, hence is over protectiveness of his sister Artemis, even though she is mostly the one saving his ass, he likes to think he is like a father figure to her. Apollo has delusion of grandeur and thinks himself a rather unique and special snowflake, just don't mention Helios to him, as he shatters that illusion, as the first sun god with a chariot, showing that Apollo isn't original.
Apollo also has a dark cruel side: his protectiveness of his mother, Leto - after Niobe insulted Leto, Apollo ruthlessly killed all seven of her sons. Later on, he personally asked Hades to eternally torture Tityos for harassing his mother. Another aspect of this, albeit lesser in severity, is his on-going feud with Zephyrus for the hearts of attractive male students, as payback for killing his second true love. This has resulted in Apollo being known for sleeping with students, some say you can screw your way onto the honor's list. Apparently, he has a 'thing' for his own children. Speaking of his children, he tries so very hard to connect with them, as he has problems with his own father and wants to be a better dad than Zeus. This results in him overusing hip slang, referencing pop culture way too much, and over all being cringey as fuck. Between the dad jokes and the smothering of his children around their friends, they aren't very happy with being seen in public with him, with good reason.
Apollo's sunny and optimistic demeanor actually conceals deep sorrows: he had never truly moved on from the two greatest loves of his life - Daphne (who turned into a tree to escape his advances) and Hyacinthus (who died due to a feud between Apollo and Zephyrus), and was haunted by their memories, to the extent where anything that could be associated with them would almost reduce him to tears if he saw it. Apollo also acknowledged to himself that he secretly harbored a good deal of resentment towards his father, Zeus, and his killing the Cyclopes who forged Zeus' lightning bolts had not been a rash decision, as it was easier for him to hate and blame the weapons which his father frequently used to threaten him with, than to hate his father himself. He and Poseidon both once tried to usurp the throne from Zeus, and were stripped of their divinity as a result, and were forced to built the wall of Troy. When Apollo once again rebelled, he was mocked by Zeus, saying he knew nothing of what it took to rule, and to prove his point, made him be confined to the Academy as the headmaster.
Apollo was also revealed to have a tendency to brag about his previous accomplishments, particularly his victory over Python, to the point of embellishing it: though he told storytellers that he had vanquished Python with a single arrow the instant he arrived at its cave, the truth of the matter was that he had needed all of his godly strength, his divine powers, and his bow (which he described to be the deadliest bow in the world) to defeat Python, who had been "no pushover". In fact, the battle between Apollo and Python had been such that the former suffered from nightmares about the latter for centuries. Despite all his flings and demigod children, Apollo refuses to marry because the only woman and man he'd ever consider being the husband to have passed on, though he will flirt with Hestia and Persephone whenever he sees them. He has made it his personal mission to sleep with as many non-Grecian male gods as possible(and all solar deities).
━━ face claim daniel sharman · pantheonium headmaster ━━PLAYLIST will be added to
1. MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS | "HAPPY"
Archery: As the God of Archery, Apollo excels in archery as well as other target-shooting-based activities, such as basketball. His arrows can invisibly strike a person, no matter how far away he is. His skills in archery are only rivaled by his sister Artemis.
Audiokinesis: Apollo can make a sharp ultrasonic whistle-like sound that can temporarily stun his opponents, making them to clutch their ears in confusion.
Battle Prowess: Apollo has great superhuman strength and fighting skills, and the Homeric hymns also described that no ropes can bind him. When Hercules tried to steal his Oracle's tripod, Apollo wrestled with him, and would have killed him if Zeus had not thrown his thunderbolt between the two of them. Apollo also defeated Ares in boxing during the very first Olympic games, which were for the gods.
Couplets Curse: Apollo can curse others to only speak in rhyming couplets that can take days or even weeks to wear off.
Dazzling Appearance: When appearing before Marsyas, Apollo did so "in a blaze of golden light." When he approaches Cyrene, Apollo was surrounded by a flickering aura of honey-colored light.
Disease Manipulation: If angered, Apollo can cause several diseases, mainly plague. During the Trojan War, when Agamemnon offended him, Apollo infected the latter's army with plague. Apollo uses special arrows for this, which explode and disseminate various horrible diseases.
Enhanced Healing: He can instantly heal almost any wounds at a quicker rate than even other Olympians. He always helps his demigod children heal the wounded when they sing a hymn to him in Ancient Greek.
Fire Immunity: Apollo is completely immune to any amount of fire and heat.
Flight: Apollo has the ability to fly, which was shown when he flew to the island of Delos to slay Python, and when he and Artemis descended on the city of Thebes to punish Queen Niobe for her hubris.
Musical Ability: As the God of Music, Apollo is an expert musician, and can play any musical instrument perfectly, though he is most often seen with his lyre. Apollo also has four golden celedons accompanying him in his musical performances, as well as being the leader of the Nine Muses. While competing with Marsyas, Apollo's music brought the surrounding nymphs to tears, and he was later able to play his lyre just as well while holding it behind his back and not looking at the strings. Hence, Apollo would also be the one to teach Pandora how to sing and play the lyre, making her irresistible to Epimetheus.
Photokinesis: As the God of Light, Apollo has absolute control and divine authority over light.
Prophecy: As the God of Prophecy and Foresight, Apollo is able to see into the future. However, he is unable to tell anyone future events, except through his Oracles, as then the information would become meaningless. Apollo does not have full control over this power either. He does not always know what the prophecies mean, nor can he always control when they are told.
Pyrokinesis: As the God of the Sun, Apollo has absolute control over the flames of his Sun Chariot. However, this power of his is slightly inferior to that of Hephaestus, the God of Fire.
Supernatural Sight: As the God of Light and the Sun, Apollo can see almost anything and anywhere during the day.
Swordsmanship: Apollo is also an expert swordsman, as Homer describes him as 'Apollo of the Golden Sword'. Apollo once had an extremely sharp sword made of adamant and Imperial Gold, but rarely used it, and later gave it to his younger brother Hermes in exchange for the flute.
Truth: He is also the God of Truth and can compel people to confess the truth.
Vitakinesis: As the God of Healing and Medicine, Apollo can manipulate and modify a person's anatomy, as well as restore the injured to near-instantaneous health.

CHAPTER ONE ;; p e r s o n a l i t y┰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┰
↳ With age comes a certain sense of entitlement, so let's just say that Bes has lived a very long time. With his ever growing popularity combined with his devilishly good looks, Bes has had it relatively easy for the majority of his life. Getting women is easy, getting men is even easier, especially when you're skilled in areas of dance and music, arguably languages of love.
Bes naturally comes off as charming, mysterious, and rather seductive, sometimes without entirely meaning to. He tries not to affiliate himself with students but sometimes he just can't help himself really. When he does indulge in the demis, as he calls them, he prefers to associate with the children of the Egyptian Pantheon. Though lately he's been taking an interest in the Greek demigods.
Unlike some in the school, he is completely accepting of mixed pantheons, and in fact, encourages the diversity. Though he'd be lying if he said that the recent infection didn't scare him to some extent. In fact, he's quite worried for the students. And it irks him that he can't seem to do much to help the matter. So he's taken it upon himself to start searching for a cure, investigating cases, taking samples. He has a small lab in his in school housing.

CHAPTER TWO ;; h i s t o r y┰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┰
↳ As mentioned before, Bes has lived a fine life without much worry. He was in fact, worshiped by most, if not all Egyptians during the time of that particular pantheon, and was somewhat of a celebrity even. His face was carved upon brushes, amulets, makeup containers, makeup appliers. He was especially loved by the ladies and children, because while he was largely associated with sexuality, he was also associated with dominant protection of women and children. And that wasn't just for nothing.
He was a protector, a guardian out of all things, for a very long time. Sometimes mistaken for a demon on occasion, but protected by Ra in his exploits. Though while his popularity within the circle of gods of his pantheon, as well as the others too, remained pretty consistent, it steadily decreased with humans, even as he presented himself more to them, provided them with comfort. This deeply unnerved him, and he hasn't gotten over it even to this day.
Which is why he so enjoys the demigods swooning over him, and feels incredibly offended when they don't. It's pompous of course, to be so radically entitled as to think that students are somehow obligated to ogle him. But it's really the only thing that brings him comfort.
Speaking of which, he was interested in becoming a teacher at the academy from the very beginning. He's quite the social butterfly and people naturally gravitate towards him. But he was also seriously concerned over the infection going around, it genuinely ached to know that the demigods were dying off, ever so slowly. Ever since joining, he's been searching for a cure, and continues to today.

the far reaching one, queen of ghosts and witches, roman form - trivia
━━━━ female(s) · pansexual · triple titanides of magic ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Hecate/Hecat/Hekate is not a singular titanis(titaness), but three/four titanides(titanesses). She was a third generation titan, daughter of the cousins Perses and Asteria. She sided with the Olympians during the Titanomanchy, and was allowed to retain power after the Titans were defeated. Because of this, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades gave her power in all three major realms (sky, sea, and the Underworld). During the Gigantomachy, Hecate was opposed by Clytius. In fact, Hecate was the first Greek god to fight against her Gigantes counterpart. She defeated the giant by setting him alight with her torches.
When Persephone was abducted by Hades, Hecate was in a nearby cave and overheard the former's screams. She immediately rushed to help, but upon arrival, Persephone was already taken to the Underworld. Hecate sensed that someone was abducted, but couldn't identify who it was or the kidnapper, as her magic was weak during the day. Unsure of what to do next, the Titaness decided to wait until nightfall to gather more information through her spells. However, both Zeus and Hades were covering up the abduction with stronger magic, preventing Hecate from learning more about it.
After ten days of searching, Hecate found Demeter calling for Persephone in the area around her cave. She immediately pieced together what had happened and met with Demeter, sharing her belief that Persephone had been abducted by an unknown god. This made Demeter even more distraught, and feeling sympathetic, Hecate offered to help by using her torches to light the goddess' journey through the night. During the day, Hecate returned to her cave to rest, promising to help Demeter again after nightfall. She also suggested seeking out help from Helios, as he saw all which occurred during the day, and informed Demeter of who had taken her daughter. For his aid, Hecate would birth Circe, Pasiphaë, Aeëtes(father of Medea), Perses, with him in thanks.
Eventually, Persephone was reunited with her mother, and as reward for helping Demeter during her search, Hecate was given a place in the Underworld as an attendant to Persephone. The Titaness was more than happy with this arrangement, as the darkness of the Underworld made it a better place for working magic.
For the longest time, Hecate was a virginal goddess, and because of this, on good terms with Artemis. However, she did not have the will power of virginal goddesses like Athena or Hestia, and thought children and babies were too adorable not to have a few of her own. When she broke her vow, Artemis would not speak to her for years. But she didn't mind, she wasn't just great at seduction(no surprise there, magic itself is a seductive power, especially dark magic), but also a great - if overbearing - mother. She created the lampades and empusa to serve her.

Hecate is close friends with her fellow titan Selene, the virginal huntress Artemis, and the queen of hell, Persephone. With Selene, things can become a bit awkward, due to the fact that Hecate lost her virginity to her brother, Helios. Hecate is vegan and doesn't drink alcohol either. She prefers hot tea to coffee and iced tea to iced coffee. Those of her demigod children who do eat meat often have a food allergy, the most common being a nut allergy or that of strawberries. She enjoys foods of other cultures, from jian dui to curry(she has her Japanese curry days, though spicy Indian curry has become a comfort food) over rice. Dark chocolate is something she always has on hand, and she can be bribed to raise grades if given hand made deserts and sugary treats. Her sweet tooth is her greatest weakness. She always drinks one can of Coca-Cola daily, particular during the middle of class between lecture and lab, and will not take Pespi as a suitable substitute. She is rather fond of Vanilla Coke, Cherry Coke, and obscure flavors, like Orange Coke or Raspberry Coke, resulting in her office housing its own Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountain. She has made it off limits to students, unless she likes you or you happen to be her child. She also lets students use microwave and will share her food with students during her tutoring sessions(mandatory for all of her demigods). Hecate has been spotted shamelessly flirting with faculty, and some students have even claimed to have been hit on by her or that she gave them suggestive comments during private lessons.

Full playlists from Tumblr can be found here, here and here.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Elemental Manipulation: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades gave Hecate power in all the realms (sky, ocean, earth and underworld), using the four elements in her witchcraft can strengthen her spells.
Fear Manipulation: With her power to manipulate the mind, Hecate often used it in order to elicit fear or emotional pain in a person in the form of nightmarish hallucinations that could stun and weaken even powerful individuals, such as gods. These visions can depict things that a person fears, regrets, or general disturbances, though the nature of it is not up to Hecate. She does seem to be able to know what her victim is seeing and be inside the vision with them, seemingly invisible to them.
Hex Bolts: Hecate has the ability to manipulate probability via her "hexes" (often manifesting physically as "hex spheres" or "hex bolts") which manipulated energy fields and matter to varying degrees. These hexes were initially short range, and are limited to her line of sight. Casting a hex would initially require a gesture and concentration on her part, though the gestures are largely a focus for the concentration. Despite this precision, the hexes are not necessarily guaranteed to work, particularly if she is tired or using her powers excessively. If overextended, Hecate's hexes can backfire, causing probability to work against her wishes or even undo previous hexes. Early in her career, her hexes were unconscious, and would be automatically triggered whenever she made a particular gesture, regardless of her intent. These hexes would only manifest as "bad luck", triggering negative effects. She later gained enough control over her powers that they only work when she wants them to, and they are not limited to negative effects. These "hex-spheres" of reality-disrupting quasi-psionic force can cause molecular disturbances in a target's probability field, resulting in spontaneous combustion, deflection of objects in flight, and so on.
Levitation: Hecate was able to use this power to move herself through the air and simulate flight, in order to hover and safely float back to the ground. The use of this power manifests as a blast of psionic energy expelled from her hands onto the ground to propel herself up in the air.
Mental Manipulation: Hecate was able to deploy a form of mental manipulation, often as a type of illusory hypnosis, using the same neuro-electric interface that allows her telepathy. When this ability is in use, Hecate's reddish energy takes a more mist-like form, floating into the head of the victim in the form of neurons. The effects also distort the victim's iris coloration, causing them to shine a dark reddish color. She can also manipulate the memory, thoughts, actions, emotions, and senses of others at will, as well as to induce sleep or pain and create illusions without any difficulty.
Mist Control: As the Goddess of the Mist, she has divine authority and absolute control over the Mist(the uppermost layer of the Duat, originating from between fire and ice, Ginnungagap, the Veil between Earth and the Faerie). A swirling column of pure white Mist surrounds her when she is present. Hecate can create illusions, disguise people, and implant false memories. She can make monsters invisible or have them be seen as something else. She can hide locations. She can summon Mistforms.
Mystiokinesis: As the Goddess of Magic, Hecate has divine authority and absolute control over magic. Her magic is weak during the day and strongest at night.
Necromancy: As the Goddess of Necromancy, Hecate has divine authority and absolute control over the dead, though not as much as Hades. Hecate can call forth endless waves of the dead to fight for her. She can destroy Skeleton Warriors. She can put the dead to sleep or silence the dead with a gesture. She can physically grab a ghost.
Prophecy: As the Goddess of Magic, Hecate can see multiple futures that could happen therefore being able to predict prophecies as well.
Psionics: As a god of magic, Hecate acquired an array of psionic powers, which manifest in the form of reddish, glowing energy currents and mist-like shapes. Hecate describes her powers as "neuro-electric interface". When using her power, her irises sometimes glow a dark, reddish color, especially when using her mental abilities.
Psionic Energy Manipulation: Hecate can project energy blasts, waves and bolts by projecting her own psionic and telekinetic energy, allowing her to either blow, destroy, push/pull or direct her hits at her enemies. This energy manifests in any shape and form, outlining her telekinetic spheres of influence, as the energy is visible in a reddish color. When a target of hers is hit with her energy, she can use her telekinesis to inflict further damage.
Psionic Force-Field Generation: Hecate was able to create a highly durable barrier that she can shape and deform as she needed to. She used to grab and break apart targets, to protect innocents from enemy fire, contain a target or to cover and deflect attacks from the enemies. The barrier could be broken through extreme brute force.
Telekinesis: Hecate has the ability to mentally move, levitate and manipulate objects, also can affect and control molecules and particles allowing her to fully control matter and energy, as well as physical forces(such as kinetic energy, gravity, friction, pressure, vectors, etc). Her emotions are linked to her powers, which can be devastating, as she can be rather emotional at times.
Telepathy: Hecate can read minds or mentally communicate and experience memories and thoughts of others or project her own thoughts through a neuro-electric interface that gives her telepathy. When using her hypnotic power, her irises sometimes glow a dark reddish color, especially when she concentrate it on certain targets. Hecate can also sense the minds and emotions of those around her.

×Afterlife Transport▬▬▬▬▬▬ ʜᴇ ᴋɪɴᴅʟʏ sᴛᴏᴘᴘᴇᴅ ғᴏʀ ᴍᴇ. ▬▬▬▬▬▬
××The user is capable of taking the souls of others, willingly or otherwise, to the afterlife.
×Afterlife Guardian
××User can control the movement/communication over the border between life and death, allowing the living/dead to communicate over it, taking them to the other side from where they are (by force if necessary), or prevent the movement to either direction, effectively either dooming the target to never die/pass on or making their death irreversible. They are in charge of preserving and keeping the balance between the living and dead such as keeping the dead from bothering or troubling the living, ensuring souls go and stay were they belong in the afterlife and much more.
×Death Touch
××The user's body is able to kill anyone that touches it. This user has control over their touch.
×Soul Manipulation
××User can manipulate soul, the incorporeal and immortal essence of a living thing, usually most obviously present in sentient being. At some level all biological organisms have souls, and even non-biological entities (such as rivers and mountains) possess something that is analogous to soul.
×Death Infusion
××The user can infuse objects (usually a weapon), beings or powers with death, empowering and energizing them and allowing the user to manipulate their qualities and efficiency, causing instant death of the target.
×Scythe Proficiency
××The user can wield a scythe with tremendous dexterity and skill, accurately and precisely slicing through the enemies without being hindered by the scythe's heavy weight.
×Death Embodiment
××The user of this power is the embodiment of death itself. This means that they can easily kill others, reap their souls when they die and take their souls to the afterlife. They can decide where a soul will go after death.
×Necroscience
××User knows almost everything about/of death or anything that is related to the dead, including everyone who is dead, how they died, everything about their death, everything they went through, etc. The user knows everything when they die because death knows all, they also know the absolute truth because In death all truth is revealed. The user knows the time/method of how everyone is going to die and all the ways and reasons on how anything can and is supposed to die.
In his human appearance, there's no doubt that Ankou is attractive. He stands at a decent height of 6 feet, and is built about average, with just enough musculature to make it seem like he works out. His skin is a warm ochre tone, sometimes compared to terra cotta. A lot about him is warm seeming. Noticeable but not especially defined cheekbones, giving him a slightly angular appearance. Still, the lack of definition keeps him from looking too harsh and retains an almost soft, approachable look. His skin is fairly clear with full lips and dark, intense eyes. His black hair is naturally curly, though usually too short to be able to tell. It's shorter on the sides and a bit longer on the top, though the top is still short enough he doesn't have to style it. His clothing ranges greatly, though his current favorite is a simple nice suit, or some variation. It's not uncommon for him to wear just the nice jacket over a shirt and jeans, or just slacks and a button up.▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ ʜᴇʟᴅ ʙᴜᴛ ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴏᴜʀsᴇʟᴠᴇs ▬▬▬
In his other, 'true' form, however, he's anything but normal looking. He stands at a bit over seven feet tall, wearing a black hood and ragged robes. He doesn't really have a real 'body' in his natural form, simply black smoke. His face looks like a mask, a vaguely skull shape, and the bright white stands out sharply against the rest of the darkness. Any humans who see his true form die on sight, though demigods and other species can survive. He doesn't use this form often, preferring to look human.( ♜ terence telle )
Although one of his titles is the Grim Reaper, Ankou is anything but. He's a death deity, yes. But he certainly doesn't act like one. He's incredibly relaxed and laid back, commonly found lounging back in his chair with his feet on the desk, tossing a ball up to catch it as he speaks. For a god, especially a death god, he's one of the most casual ones. To him, there's no point in being morbid and dark. He's kind and rather gentle, willing to stop and take the time to help people and explain things for them. He has a habit of sliding in to the middle of a conversation and resting his arm on someone's shoulder, easily jumping in to any talk. He has a habit of throwing the 'finger guns' when he's leaving a room, especially if he had been talking to someone. With his relaxed and chill attitude, he gets along with almost everyone. Who wouldn't like the easy-going professor?▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴀɴᴅ Iᴍᴍᴏʀᴛᴀʟɪᴛʏ. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
He tries to see the positive side of death, such as it is. It breaks his heart when someone dies, but he does everything he can to ease the souls' passing, offering kind words whenever he can. He always has suckers available for the kids (and is usually eating one himself), and frequently checks up on them in their respective afterlife. He walks them all the way down to their place, carrying them if necessary and doing everything he can to make things better and as easy as possible. If someone dies and is revived he tends to look after them, especially if it was a murder or suicide attempt. He tries to care for people, doing what he can to ease their life to take care of them.
Although he is as kind as he is, he's not exactly what one would call overly forgiving. Since he's so nice, he doesn't understand why someone would be anything but the same to him. To be frank, he knows he doesn't cruelty. Although to him, no one does. If someone hurts someone else for no reason, including himself, he has a habit of lashing out. He's always willing to help someone and will go out of his way to protect them. He also has a weakness for animals, especially his own pets. He adores his four horses, and is commonly found sitting in the stables with them, brushing them out.
Unlike most of the other gods, Ankou wasn't born a deity. He was a wealthy land owner, in fact an ancient prince, and admittedly not the best person. He was vindictive and perhaps even vicious, and extremely possessive of his things. When he was in his early twenties, he was hunting on his property with his companions. He was chasing a white stag on Sabbath, a magic animal in many stories of the Fay. He came across a stranger on his property, an indistinguishable figure on a white horse. Ankou wasn't exactly happy about finding a stranger on his property, and immediately challenged the stranger to a contest. Whoever killed the stag could keep all of the meat and skin, but also decide the fate of the loser. The stranger agreed to the bet, and they prepared to go off.
Unfortunately, Ankou had no idea what he was up against. The stranger was the current personification of Death, and so the hunt didn't last very long. Ankou had barely even strung his bow when the stranger's shot flew true, dropping the stag in an instant. Under the terms of the agreement, the stranger named his terms. As Ankou so loved to hunt, the stranger said, then he would hunt. He would have to hunt down all the dead souls across the world. And so Ankou was condemned to become the next Death, and the other faded away.
Being Death changed Ankou, shifting him from as vindictive as he was to more kind. Still, he did have a streak of vengeance. When three guys found him with his cart, two threw stones at him and broke his cart. The third helped him fix it, and Ankou was of course grateful. The next day, the two who had thrown stones were dead, and the one who had helped only had his hair shocked white.( ♜ relations )

He has a habit of going off the deep end without notice, and losing his shit. His temper is probably shorter than the attention span of a goldfish, one for the record books. He's not like his siblings in their vengeance when wronged, more of a total destruction kind of guy. For the most part, everyone holds the belief that he is always angry, like a less green and more godly Bruce Banner. Don't get him wrong: he's totally fine with being viewed as the picture of anger. What he doesn't like is the immediate assumption that he doesn't think before he acts. It might be true most of the time, but Ares is kind of smart. Maybe just a touch above average, but at least he's not stupid. That would be a true disaster.❝ immortality's a b i t c h, kid ; homme ; unbound ; god of w a r ❞
charlie hunnam ⇢ fair-haired and blue-eyed, it's a wonder he's not been on a several godly list of partners. Ares has been noted for inheriting his mother's hair and his father's eyes, with a perfect meld of their other features.
that jawline thoWith a slightly muscular build, slimmed down for the perfect athleticism, Ares stands over six feet tall. They say it changes with his mood, but his height is mostly used as a factor for intimidation. His voice is a low baritone, with just the lilt of a musical, smoky raise in octave at the end of his sentences. He's recently begun to collect tattoos, with a new one every few months or so.![]()
With that in mind, it would be smart to note that Ares is prone to action rather than words. It just comes easily to him to knock someone out for insulting him or for any misunderstanding. It has sort of made things worse, but as the god of war, he really couldn't care less. He's the "shoot first, ask later" kind of guy. Or well, he's what that phrase is based off of. It's kind of hard to want to talk and find a deeper meaning to something when all you see is red, red, red. Because honestly--that's what he sees. Ares is in a constant state of "attack" as a response to most stimuli. Partly by choice, and partly by all that he's been through.
He loves his kids. There's no debate about it, no way it could be turned on its head. Ares has always loved his kids. He might have fallen out of love with their parents, but they all hold a special place in his heart. In that regard, he's pretty much putty in their hands. He's the doting father that'll give them anything they want, but he's also the dad that'll sit on the porch with a shotgun if they're going on a date. He's not some much a helicopter parent, but he does check in with them often. Brags about his kids? Hell, yeah, he does. Ares will talk your ear off about the fight his son got into, or the time his daughter decked another girl for talking shit. He knows they have it rough, and he knows it's not easy to reign in their anger. But he also doesn't spare the same sort of care for others. Maybe his lovers while he's still involved, but that fades with time.
Perhaps the one thing that people don't seem to notice is that Ares is tired. Tired of the wars, tired of the anger. Because as it is, he's blamed for every act of war ever committed. The pain and suffering caused by endless strife between nations and groups has been attributed to him for centuries, and it wasn't always his fault. Sure, war is exhilarating and all, but it eats away at you like you'd never believe. Which is why Ares has made numerous requests of Hypnos and Morpheus to take his dreams; he doesn't need to see everything that the world has done in his sleep.fatal flaw ⇢ The obvious flaw that Ares suffers from is anger. However, underneath that is a deep seated need for rebellion that is obscured by his inability to control his impulses and his anger.[ history ━ Every myth has portrayed his birth as simply as possible. Born of Hera by Zeus ( her fidelity is something frightening, if you ask Ares ), he found himself as the sibling to Hebe and Eileithyia. Unruly and feared by many, he wrecked havoc under the watch of his nurse, Thero, who remained obscured in countless other myths. Ares has never been one to correct people, which meant that the story of his birth would always be agreed upon in terms of his parents. He was often thought to only have Hebe as a sibling, though he's never been close ( at least, he doesn't think so ) to Eileithyia.
powers ⇢ Ares is known for being able to manipulate negative emotions, primarily anger and hatred, as well as inflicting bloodlust upon others. In recent years, he's turned that power into something else, namely in that most people struck with bloodlust go after people they like rather than those they hate. He doesn't use it often. There's also the enhanced strength and endurance that he's passed on to many of his children. He holds, however, another ability to adapt and create weapons, while only passing on the adaptability and movement mimicry to his demigod children.
weapons ⇢ Any and everything![]()
Myth after myth continue to paint him as a violent harbinger of war, ignoring a growing number of lovers that began to bear him children. At first, he had no intention of being bound by the idea of parenthood, and barely paid his children any attention, be they mortal or immortal. But as his enthusiasm for the wars created by the world and himself died down, he began to see them all in a new light. Particularly his mortal children. But with this care comes a whole other type of feeling he didn't think he had in him.

confusion + fear inducement┊in her badb aspect, she is able to induce confusion and fear. of course, badb rarely remembers she possesses this ability, but it exists nonetheless.
anger + paranoia manipulation┊as nemain, she can manipulate and induce anger and paranoia so powerful it turns friends against one another, resulting in bloodbaths.
fate manipulation┊all three aspects are able to alter fates, change people's futures, bring their deaths closer, and everything else that falls under 'fate'.
prophecy┊the morrígan can see the future and make predictions, or issue warnings, usually in the form of a cryptic message.
shapeshifting┊the morrígan is able to shapeshift into a crow / raven, a form which grants her flight. with concentration ( harder for some aspects than others ) she is able to partially shapeshift, giving her wings without the other, less desirable, side effects.
Having three different aspects constantly arguing and trying to be in control got pretty headache-inducing after a point, so Macha — as the most sane one — eventually took control, occasionally letting the other two take over. When Pantheonium was founded, the Morrígan became the Battle Training teacher. Fortunately, she decides whether someone's passed the class or not, so Badb and Nemain can't mess things up too badly ( besides, everyone knows not to listen to “the pink-haired one” ).i'm sorry the history is rubbish and short there was not much about her that i could find

❝ leto has been criticized, burned down, thrown to the side as a goddess of something trivial. As the years and centuries passed, the concept of what made a woman change. She went from revered to despised with each tide of thought, but she has always remained steadfast. You could say she's regarded as a weak thing, meek and subservient to the will of man and the concept of motherhood, or you could say that you're scared shit-less of her. The latter would be most accurate. Motherhood has changed over the years, and with it, as has Leto. She may seem weaker in comparison to the other gods, a little less dominant and powerful, but what's a strong man without a stronger mother?
There is the chief principle of tough love that Leto follows. It's a new thing for her, as she once used to coddle her children to no avail. She thought that loving them in such a way would give them no ideas of putting themselves in harm's way like Artemis and Apollo had done in protecting her, but that never truly worked. In fact, it must have been worse. At any rate, she's taken to the idea of letting her children run amok and when they come running to her when they make a poor decision, she forces them to face the consequences. They learn through the experience, don't they? However, if things get too much for them to handle, she may step in and do as she had for centuries and baby them to no end. She cares for her children more than she cares for life itself. If she could, she'd got to war for each and every one of them, but she can't. She promised herself for their sake that she would limit her stepping in.
The side of Leto that most people see is doting and affectionate. They think of her as an airhead, in a way; like she doesn't know a thing about being a god despite all the years that have gone by. But, they're wrong. She quite brilliant, actually. Leto has come to amass a vast expanse of knowledge in the time that she has been in Olympus. It has been things that she had adapted to herself and to the way she interacts with others, one of those things being psychology; she was quite good friends with Freud, despite a few disagreements with him. And among the things and sides that most people don't see, there's just a bit of freak in her. Not in the sense of deformity as most would think of it, but more so in the way of things that people would think of when they hear Aphrodite. Yeah, that's usually the side she reserves for Zeus. She supposes that's one of the things that might qualify her as one of those so-called MILFs, or whatever. · · · pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀ( lianne la havas ) // (view spoiler)
❝ unlike the gods and goddesses she resides with, Leto did not begin her life with any sort of celestial or divine persuasion. She was born human, of a trader and his slave. Her mother remained unknown to her, dying in childbirth, but she did come to know that she was not the first of her mother's children. Five of them came before her, and only one of them survived, but she never met the girl. When she was old enough to understand what that must have felt like, she pitied her mother. The one child that would be able to draw breath would be the one she could never lay eyes on again. Someone had once told her that it might have been that her mother prayed for Leto's life in exchange for her own. At that point, she had dismissed it immediately.
As Leto grew, it became more obvious of her master's infidelity. Her features matched his own with each passing day, even the laughter he held. But she would always, in the slightest of ways, mirror the image of her mother in his mind. In with that little bit of knowledge working in her favor, she was sent off to another master to avoid the misplaced punishment of her mistress. And so, she fell into the hands of a rich nobleman who had a penchant for collecting things, and people, of beauty.
While this man was neither good nor bad, Leto found no peace in his home. The other people of his collection did not take kindly to new additions, and she began to see why. The Master's attention to detail was what lead to endless hours of devotion to a singular object or person, and one grew fond of this attention. Their misplaced affections, however, would never be returned because they no more than items to be seen and gaped at by visitors. Leto had the good fortune--and perhaps the good sense--to steer clear of developing need to further her relationship with her master past that of a servant. She was content with just the simple prospect of being fed and clothed.
It was in her time in this collection that she met the god Zeus. She'd caught his eye before he'd caught hers, but it made no difference. Her heart was stolen in that moment, and she would gladly let him keep it. Which he did, and in their consummation of their love, she got pregnant. However, Hera would not stand for it, and she found herself fleeing the wrath of another slighted wife. She supposed she and her mother had been no different, loving those they could not have. But as the months drew closer to the arrival of her child--she had perceived it to be the might of the gods that made her so heavy with one child--Hera's wrath grew. Finding a place to give birth was only the beginning of her plights, but she was not alone. Goddesses flocked to her side as the time drew near. All, except the most crucial of them.
Nine days and nights passed before the goddess Eileithyia was present to assist in childbirth. Nine days and nights that Leto spent damning the gods and anyone else that came to mind. But, surprisingly, never once did she speak ill of Zeus. Interesting, since it was his children that she was laboring in pain for. With the birth a success on the tenth day, Hera was still not satisfied. Three days after the birth of the twins Artemis and Apollo, Hera sent the great Python to swallow the three of them whole. Leto was powerless and unable to defend herself. She watched as her children took arms against the great beast and defeated it.
Soon after, Zeus took her and the twins into Olympus, despite the wishes of Hera. And in the many years that have passed, Leto has come to find that the memories of being human were false. Planted by her sister in the hopes that she would be less pained, everything that she had once believed was a lie. The thought of that alone has plagued her for centuries, and she remains unable to fully grasp if all her memories had not be fabricated. · · · hɪsᴛᴏʀʏ┏──────────────────────────────────── rᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴs| parents ▸coeus, phoebe

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━E R O S 'the younger' love, desire ; cupid/amor『Ἔρως ; Cupido, Amore』━━ saint valentine's cherub ━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
leader of the erotes/amorini. often confused with phanes, eros the elder.
━━ male · pansexual · daemon of desire + love; fornication ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Eros is the child of Aphrodite, and her brother. His birth is complicated, born from the genitalia of Uranus which birthed Aphrodite, as it impregnated her with Eros and Himeros. He was then adopted by Ares as his son. One legend says no matter how much nectar and ambrosia he was fed, Eros remained an infant. He was given another brother, Anteros, to play with(Anteros is sometimes said to be born from the love of Poseidon and Nerites, whom Aphrodite also loved. He rejected her love and her offer of wings, which then were given to Eros instead. In this case, Nerites is to Poseidon as Ganymede is to Zeus). Eros grew up as the playmate of Hymenaios and Ganymede. Once, when Aphrodite's son Eros was kissing her, his quiver dangling down, a jutting arrow, unbeknown, had grazed her breast. She pushed the boy away. In fact the wound was deeper than it seemed, though unperceived at first. And she became enraptured by the beauty of a man, Adonis.
He was insulted by Apollo, and made him fall in love with Daphne, who he ensured would never return his affections in revenge. Eros set up Thamyris and Hyacinth, making them the first mortal gay couple, and became the patron of gay love because of this, but Thamyris died after battling the Muses in a music competition. Hyacinth was fought over by both Zephyrus and Apollo, and he chose Apollo. Jealous, the West Wind blew a discus too hard while Apollo and Hyacinth played and killed him. Apollo was furious, but Eros protected Zephyrus, as the act was committed in the name of love, on the condition that the wind god served Eros forever. This new relationship eventually carried over into the bedroom, and the wind god became a frequent lover of Eros. Why is love depicted as blind or blindfolded? You can thank Zephyrus and Eros' erotic exploration for that.
When Aphrodite's beauty was outshone by a mortal named Psyche, she sent her son to make her fall in love with an ass after several other attempts to ruin the girl had failed. The arrow pieced Eros himself and he fell in love, and he threatened Aphrodite and told her to leave her alone. No men came to court Psyche all of a sudden, and so her parents went to Delphi seeking answers, the Oracle told her she was to marry a monster even the gods feared, a winged serpent who harasses the world with fire and iron. Psyche was arrayed in funeral attire, conveyed by a procession to the peak of a rocky crag, and exposed. Marriage and death are merged into a single rite of passage, a "transition to the unknown". She was taken by Zephyrus to Eros' palace, where she was served by invisible maids. She was told never to look upon her husband when the two consummate their marriage. It is here that she becomes pregnant with Hedone. Her two sisters eventually visit per her request, and they become envious of her wealthy husband. They tell her to sneak into his bedroom with a lamp and dagger, to see this beast and kill him, as he is merely seducing her and is going to eventually eat her. She sneaked into his room with an oil lamp and gazed upon Eros while he slept, expecting some dragon, but instead is greeted with the mist beautiful thing she has ever seen. The oil from the lamp burned him and awoke the winged god, and he left her for violating his trust.
Psyche visits first one sister, then the other; both are seized with renewed envy upon learning the identity of Psyche's secret husband. Each sister attempts to offer herself as a replacement by climbing the rocky crag and casting herself upon Zephyr for conveyance, but instead is allowed to fall to a brutal death.
After Demeter and Hera refuse to help her, she realizes she must submit to Aphrodite herself. After being forced to separate mixed grains, which insects help her with, she is told to fetch a golden fleece from across a fast and deadly river from a violent sheep. A reed of the type used to make musical instruments tells her not to drown herself as she intended, and instructed her on how to collect the wool caught on briers.
For Psyche's third task, she is given a crystal vessel in which to collect the black water spewed by the source of the rivers Styx and Cocytus. Climbing the cliff from which it springs, she is daunted by the foreboding air of the place and dragons slithering through the rocks, and falls into despair. Zeus himself takes pity on her, and sends his eagle to battle the dragons and retrieve the water for her.
Her fourth and final task is to travel into the Underworld with a pyxis and obtain in it a dose of the beauty of Persephone. Aphrodite claims her own beauty has faded through tending her ailing son, and she needs this remedy in order to attend the theatre of the gods. She is told how to gain entrance into Hades by a talking tower which she was going to throw herself off of to commit suicide in order to descend. She is told not to go emptyhanded through the shadows past this point, but rather carry cakes of honeyed barley in both hands, and transport two coins in her mouth, Chiron's obol to get there and back, the cakes are treats to entice Cerberus to let her through, as the living are not permitted in Hades.
Everything comes to pass according to plan, and Persephone grants Psyche's humble entreaty. As soon as she reenters the light of day, however, Psyche is overcome by a bold curiosity, and can't resist opening the box in the hope of enhancing her own beauty. She finds nothing inside but an "infernal and Stygian sleep," which sends her into a deep and unmoving torpor.
Meanwhile, Eros' wound has healed into a scar, and he escapes his mother's house by flying out a window. When he finds Psyche, he draws the sleep from her face and replaces it in the box, then pricks her with an arrow that does no harm. He lifts her into the air, and takes her to present the box to Aphrodite.
He then takes his case to Zeus, who gives his consent in return for Eros' future help whenever a choice maiden catches his eye. The Sky Father has Hermes convene an assembly of the gods in the theater of heaven, where he makes a public statement of approval, warns Aphrodite to back off, and gives Psyche ambrosia and nectar, the food and drink of immortality, so the couple can be united in marriage as equals. Their union, he says, will redeem Eros from his history of provoking adultery and sordid liaisons. Zeus' word is solemnized with a wedding banquet. Psyche was given butterfly wings.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━C A U S E lately i've been waking up alone, paint splattered teardrops on my shirt,━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━ give me love like her ━━
told you i'd let them go, and that i'll fight my corner, maybe tonight I'll call ya,
after my blood turns into alcohol, no, i just wanna hold ya.
Eros' form of love seems to be harsher and more enforced than Aphrodite's. This might be due to Eros being raised by Ares. He can be cruel, twisted, and hurtful. Fallen for a crush way out of your league? Maybe you begin to question your sexuality? Find the love of your life, but she's married with children? Eros' plans are beyond the understanding of mortals, or even gods, it would seem. Or, maybe there is no grand design to this, as 'love is blind' or depicted as an immature child, Love just is. Random and dangerous, after all, Paris and Helen caused a war. Love and lust can make people do dangerous things: make a woman drown her children to get the man of her dreams back into her life, kidnap that girl you've been stalking in hopes of Stockholm syndrome. Perhaps the hearts of men are just playthings to Eros. Eros has Erotes, siblings and fellow love gods, to perform checks and balances in order to keep the chaos of romance to a minimum, as his twin can cause people to reject love. Love returned, sweet talk and flattery, hermaphrodites and of effeminate men, sexual desire and love unreturned, weddings and marriages, and longing and yearning. He is the frequent playmate of Hymenaios and Ganymede. According to Eros, his counterpart, Death (Thanatos), is very much similar to him, but can sometimes be kinder. Due to his nature, he is thought of by Christians as a demon of fornication, of a depraved mind and perversion, his closest equivalent in the Bible is Asmodeus, the demon of lust and not only is responsible for twisting people's sexual desires but the same dangerous presumably.
He is bossy towards the other Erotes, some of who can nullify his arrow's effects on human hearts. He shares his lead arrows with the butterfly winged Anteros. He is manipulative, a cosmic shipper who will have his OTP become canon if it is the last thing he'll do. Who cares if it tears a family apart, or even cause a war where thousands die(Paris/Helen)? As the patron god of gay men, Eros has more homosexual relationships with mortal men than with women(and would still have demigods children, as other gods, like Apollo, can do.) This is mostly because he has a wife and doesn't find any other woman, save his mother, more beautiful than his Psyche. He is pushy when it comes to love, not patient. He will shove to people together, set them up, and expect them to be in bed together by the night's end. He can be a fawning hopeless romantic when he sees a couple, especially when they are soulmates. Worse than Apollo, he writes sappy love songs a lot.
First Corinthians 13:4-7 : "4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
The Bible got it wrong, or perhaps they were not talking about Cupid. He is not patient or kind, he is proud and jealous. Dishonoring others by making them fall for someone out of their league, or perhaps make them have feelings for a close relative? Hell, he made women fall in love with cows before! He has temper like his foster-father's, especially when it comes to things about love. Love is a tricky thing. It comes and it goes. "When Love Arrives" puts it perfectly, he changes, love changes. Love is never the same twice. One girlfriend likes classical music and is a deep philosopher. The next face of love gets tattoos for ever major milestone in her life and rides a Harvey motorcycle. The next verse, however, 1 Corinthians 13:8, is true for sure. Love never fails. Eventually, Eros'll get a bulls-eye. If not in this life, then the after life, or the next life. But every soul shall find true love, no matter how many crackships and pairing he'll have to try out.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Amokinesis: As the God of Love and desire, Eros has absolute control and divine authority over love, lust, and desire, but not quite as much as his mother, Venus/Aphrodite. Eros' form of love seems to be harsher and more enforced than Aphrodite's, which might be due to Eros being raised by Ares.
Archery: While not quite as skilled in archery as Apollo and Artemis, Eros is still quite an impressive archer, due to his long experience at striking others' hearts with his arrows of omnipotent allure.
Arrows of Romance: Eros' power over love is usually exercised and enforced through his romantic golden bow and arrows. While golden arrowheads induce love, his lead arrows result in the person rejecting love. The arrows are dipped in the poison of love and set a flame with the fire of passion. Anyone struck with his arrow will instantly be filled with uncontrollable desire and love for another (of Eros' choice). This will even work on Olympians, shown when Eros forced Apollo to fall in love with the nymph Daphne. Due to these arrows of omnipotent allure, most of the gods, even Zeus himself, were wary of Eros. If Eros' arrows miss a target, they will glow white-hot and explode in a "geyser of flame". However, when it does hit a target, the arrow dissolves, leaving no blood or visible wounds. The only known deities who have at least partial immunity to the romantic effect of Eros' arrows are the three Virgin Goddesses: Hestia, Athena, and Artemis.
Beauty and Allure: As the God of Physical Attraction, like his mother Venus/Aphrodite, Eros can change his appearance at will, depending on the perception of beauty of the person he is in the presence of.
Coerced Romantic Confession: Eros can also force anyone to confess their true romantic feelings, and can always tell if the person is lying.
Disembodied Spirit: Since his physical body was far to weak for him to travel, Eros sent his spirit out after Psyche, and briefly communicated with her as a disembodied voice. He was the one that aided her in her quests.
Flight: Eros can fly with his wings, given to him by his mother.
French: As a son of Venus/Aphrodite and God of Love, Cupid is fluent in French due to it being the "language of love".
Invisibility: Eros can render himself invisible in order to assault others unexpectedly, as seen when he first meet with Psyche. He cannot, however, will himself to become invisible while sleeping, as it is a conscious spell, which is why Psyche finally manage to see his face.
Romantic Omniscience: Eros, as the god of love, always knows who a person is actually in love with.

He has no real feeling toward anything these days, content in just bearing witness. That’s often what he does, spectate from a prime seat made for himself. The trouble caused may not be of his creation, but it is entertainment for him no less. It gives only the spark of joy before it lost in his darkness. Because that is all he has come to believe himself to be. Next to Nyx, he is no night sky lit up stars. He is the blackest night, moonless and starless, swallowing the world up in terror. He is, in a word, empty.❝ immortality's a d a n g e r ; homme ; alone ; god of d a r k n e s s ❞
abel tesfaye ⇢ most known the god Erebus by the odd fashioning of his coal brown hair. Some might know just his silouhette, five foot nine in height. His build is often speculated, though he's much slimmer than people believe him to be due to the style of baggy clothing he has recently taken to wearing. His face holds often the perpetual ennui of a god, or the darkest depths of sadness, almond shaped eyes often heavy lidded and holding next to no emotion. His skin is a mix of copper and bronze, lightened in the the right spaces he tends to avoid. His voice is a high tenor, bordering on a drawling and slurred alto.
![]()
His nothingness is not always how he is. He may be getting eaten away by the very thing he is the god of, but what he does feel is a deep seated depression. It doesn’t often show on his face, because what would anyone do if they saw it? The most they could do is spare him some pity but that is not what he wants. He prefers to see the outrage on their faces, the fear, the guilt, everything that he might feel and more. Erebus is seething, filled to brim. But he is empty. It’s a conundrum the god has left alone; emotions are complicated things that need not be simplified. They lose their beauty when you try to understand them, in his opinion.
With that in mind, it’s very hard to gauge much of a reaction from him. Perhaps the only way to tell when he is angry is the subtle shift in the light, or the way he backs away from you. He feels compelled to hide away his emotions, especially since the things that have happened. His inability to open up to others also stems from one very key fear: that they be swallowed up in his own darkness. He blames himself for quite a few things, and will openly admit to feeling little to no remorse. He didn’t mean for some things to happen, to hurt certain people. But he did and he can never take that back. No matter how much he might still love them and wish them the best. No matter how much he hopes and swears he’s never going to hurt someone that way again. When all the while he knows it’s just a matter of time.
He’s unstable. He’s not entirely there, and he knows it. Erebus is aware that as time passes, his darkness eats away at him. That it wishes to consume him as he wishes to consume others and it’s a war that’s been waging for eons. He can’t stop it, not until one of them has won, and he’s not sure if it’ll be him.fatal flaw ⇢ his fatal flaw is his darkness. It's hard to know just how far he'll go when it's too dark to see into his depths.[ history ━ Erebus was born to Chaos with Nyx. The god of Darkness and the goddess of Night. It was as if they had been ordained to be together. It was as if every cosmic force had known that Chaos would produce destruction and tragedy in the form of two other gods. Erebus often wonders if he ever really stood a chance with all that in mind. As it goes, he remains one of the oldest gods—one of the least talked about, but the most talked about all at once. Because everyone’s afraid of the things hidden in the dark. People jump and get skittish in places devoid of light, like they can feel him there. And he’s always been there.
powers ⇢ as the god of darkness, Erebus holds abilities such as umbrakinesis and shadow travel. He's most noted for being able to drive people to do things only imagined in the recesses of their minds, in that dark space that rarely sees the light. It has been rumored that he can swallow people into his shadow and make them part of him, but remains unconfirmed. He is empowered in any form of darkness and has the ability to become a shadow, as well as make his own disappear. It's rarely used, but he can also call forth creatures comprised of shadows to whatever it is that he wishes.
weapons ⇢ rarely uses weapons, but when he does, it's his shadows.![]()
He may not have been the way he was before Nyx betrayed him. He was loyal to his sister-wife. He had no other lovers, no one else he cared for before their children. He was happy, he was brighter than what he was god of. But then Nyx strayed. Looking back now, he would not blame her. There must have been something he did wrong that forced her into the arms of another. But he would have thought that she would have ended the relationship when he threatened the life of her mortal lover. Erebus had first meant it as a bluff, just to scare her into ending the affair. He had no intentions of doing any real harm to the mortal; he had not yet sunken deep enough into his darkness for such a thing. And he was stupid enough to believe that she would have listened to this. That she would have ended the relationship and come back to him. But still; still, he must have done something wrong. Maybe the threat hadn’t been strong enough to be seen as more than a bluff because the affair never ended.
Erebus could never understand what had driven her to love another, not with all the love that he had thought he gave her. He worshipped her as the mortals did, beheld her as the greatest thing to ever enter his sight. Because she was a better version of himself. The night was so much more than just darkness, she so much more than he. It had always been there, in the back of his mind, and he found himself to be so fortunate to know that she was his night. And he would not share her with another.
The whisper of gods came to his ears as they always did, and he didn’t believe them. He didn’t think Nyx capable of that much betrayal. But he’d been wrong. He followed her only to prove them all wrong, and was broken instead. He watched her embrace the mortal as if the man had all her love, and he snapped. The darkness won its first battle, and he lost the first part of himself. He was suddenly capable of carrying out that threat.
Watching her watch the fading life of her love brought him no satisfaction, if not just the barest touch of joy because, at least, she was feeling what he felt. The sensation of dying slowly at the thought of having been betrayed not once, but twice, by his love. And there she was, caged by his anger made real by darkness as her lover bleed. His death would be the betrayal, the very sudden realization that this affair would have never lasted. How could a mortal man amount to the eternal love of a god? He had, from the very beginning, wondered what she had seen in him. He was weak and nothing, a second in a sea’s worth of years. Each nick, each scream, each plea was a symphony of understanding that he wanted to reach her ears. To bear into her. And so it did.
Watching the mortal bleed had awoken something within him. Had stirred the darkness further. It remained sluggish in its hold on him, pushing him only to the first moment of blade against skin. But with the screams and the cries of his wife and her lover, it stirred. He wouldn’t admit it then, but it loved that feeling that filled him, the power he held over them. To know that he was marring the night with his darkness, corrupting it and turning it into something else.
But it was a momentary thing. The following morning, as the regret of his actions sunk into him, he beheld a broken Nyx. A Nyx capable of the greatest hatred for him. But a hatred for him that would surpass the one that would grow within himself. She threatened--promised--that he would meet with the same fate that he had bestowed upon her and they parted. Never have they laid eyes on another since that time, and he has much changed. He wonders if she is the same in that way, that she has become as destroyed as he has.
But how could she be, when she was the brilliant night, and he was just the darkness that sulked within it.father ⇢ Chaos ⇢ he and his father don't speak.

Thanatos is overall a rather mild-mannered and quiet god. He's a peaceable guy, not one prone to violence or harsh words (which fits rather well with his status as the god of peaceful death). Unfortunately for him, his dealings with escorting the dead to the underworld means that he's rarely seen, and often easily overlooked. He's the shadow in the background more often than not, and it's a rather lonely life to always be essentially invisible. Despite this, he's a rather nice guy with an eye for the small details and very observant. He see's a lot that goes on, because it's not often that he is seen himself. But this also gives him the chance to help people, even a little. He really has a soft spot for those who have been abused, or suffer from depression or are suicidal, because he doesn't want them hurting. He will leave little notes, and bits of advice. He'll sit in the room of suicidal or depressed children and watch them sleep, pulling the blanket up to cover them better, giving them a stuffed animal, etc. He always leaves in the morning, but he still cares.
Thanatos doesn't have any children of his own, but he often thinks of people as his children in a way regardless. Or at least, he has a nurturing instinct towards them. Which is funny considering how awkward he gets since he's rarely ever acknowledged. He's really spacey, and if you talk to him, expect to have to make a few tries to get his attention as he never assumes someone is talking to him directly. He sometimes gives off an intimidating vibe, but in reality he's just a big teddy bear...except when it comes to his job. He’s very dedicated to his job and is loathe to give exceptions to anyone after what happened with Sisyphus.
History
♚ ( powers )
Necromancy: Since Thanatos is the god of death, he has absolute control over death, and the dead, as well as the ability to kill someone with a touch. As part of his duties, Thanatos is able to separate the dead from the living. He captures souls trying to escape from the Underworld and sends them back.
Doors of Death: As the god of death, Thanatos is usually in complete control of the Doors of Death, and is able to quickly pass between the world of the living and the dead.
Invisibility: After Ares frees Thanatos from Sisyphus, the god of death no longer openly approaches souls directly, and instead, chooses to reap them while staying invisible.
Flight: with the help of his huge black wings, Thanatos can quickly glide through the air, which helps him capture souls at very high speeds.
Death Sense: As the god of peaceful death, it of course makes sense that he is able to sense when someone has died and he can use that as an almost homing beacon to find the person and escort them, so that no one has to travel alone in fear.
♖ ( weapon )
Thanatos owns a pure black iPad that he uses to keep track of escaped souls as well as who he needs to visit to escort them to the underworld. This item is also able to use video conferencing and has Hades/Pluto's Skype address, as well as the other death related gods. Thanatos also owns a long scythe with a Stygian Iron blade.
Thanatos is the son of Nyx and Erebos, with his twin brother Hypnos and his other siblings Geras, Eris, Nemesis, Apate and Charon, they didn't exactly have a small family. He is the daemonic representation of death in Ancient Greek mythology (daemonic here is used with its classical meaning, which refers to benevolent or benign nature spirits). There's not a whole lot mentioned about him in Greek mythology, and thus rarely appeared in stories and was often displaced by Hades, thus starting a long chain of being invisible and easily forgotten god of peaceful death. He was believed originally to be merciless, with both mortals and gods hating him, but that was the furthest thing from the truth. He offers companionship on your final journey, the path to the underworld. He is there to make sure you are not alone during this final moment, as you leave your loved ones behind. He is kind and compassionate, and has been known to give a spirit a few moments to come to grips with everything, say a final farewell to loved ones, then take them by the hand with a soft smile as he moved to escort them away. He's been outsmarted more than once, one of which was a result of his kindness that meant he was no longer able to grant as many luxuries as he used to out of fear of something happening again. He does what he can though, to help make the passing a little easier for those he goes to walk with, and it always breaks his heart when it is a child or baby that he has to escort or in the latter case, carry to the underworld.
He's on good terms with most of his family, he thinks, mostly because he doesn't really do anything to anyone. He thinks perhaps he's on good terms with Ares too, because Ares understands the importance of death and was also the one who rescued him when he was chained up, but he doesn't know if he'd call them friends or anything...to be honest he doesn't have any friends...except for one. It started after he kinda showed up at the Pantheon school one day. He was put to work in the library, which worked perfectly for him since he just wanted somewhere quiet to escape to once in awhile. While most won't notice, he's actually incredibly depressed, and in fact the only thing that keeps him from the darkness is a fellow death god, Ankou. He's really nice to him, and sweet, and while Thanatos is so used to being quiet that he has a hard time talking sometimes, he hopes that Ankou understands that he really appreciates having one person who cares. Something that happened relatively recently was his one and only demigod child. Which was really a fluke. He was there when the mother gave birth and the baby was dead, and he felt so bad that somehow his feelings mixed with his powers, and instead of reaping the babies soul....somehow it became his kid? He has literally no idea how he managed to make a demigod baby, and he made sure to tell the kids mom what he did so she'd be prepared about what to expect, but he still is really confused. Every once in a while, he'll kinda stalk the kid to make sure he's doing ok....although he doesn't know his name. He's mostly checking to make sure he didnt ruin the childs life with what he did.

For all his shortcomings ( and there are many ), Hephaestus excels as a father. Supportive, approachable and just as awkward as his teenage children, he tries his hardest to be a better parent than his own ( though that wouldn't be hard ). He knows what it's like to have a bad childhood in a household full of people that hate or look down on you. And of course, he's accepting of any children who don't identify with what most white humans perceive to be 'normal' ( cis, hetero, white, etc ).HEPHAESTUS ─
vulcan ──────
─────── male • 28 × gay • god of fire + forge ───────
maybe he said something wrong. Maybe his parents were right, and he's too ugly for anyone to stand being around. Maybe he's just not good enough and never will be. Words are dangerous dangerous weapons, when wielded by the right person, and the damage they do... well, Hephaestus can attest to that. Uncertainty, self-loathing, anxiety — all because of a few carefully-ordered words.
Although really, he's more of a friend than a parent.Hephaestus was the one to split Zeus' head and let Athena out, and the one to sew his head back together. He also fell in love with her, pursuing her incessantly ( something he would like dearly to forget ). This resulted in the birth of Erikthonius, whom Athena attempted to make immortal and then raised herself after that failed.Born to Hera to spite Zeus, thrown from Olympus for being imperfect, Hephaestus naturally sought revenge against his somewhat lacklustre parent. When he returned to Olympus, he brought with him the thrones of the Olympians, Hera's engineered to trap her the moment she sat there. His siblings tried to convince him to release her, but Hephaestus is pretty damn stubborn when he wants to be, and it took weeks of work from Dionysus before he would release Hera.fire » being the god of fire, hephaestus is able to manipulate, create and destroy fire, a power that comes in very handy when he accidentally sets his forge on fire. he's also immune to it — he'd rather not become a piece of ash.carlos valdes » dark brown hair, fairly long; he rarely bothers to tie it back. dark brown eyes; their fire dimmed a long time ago. olive skin; he's immune to sunburn anyway, but this just makes doubly sure.
technokinesis » he's good at making stuff. magically good, not just good good.
volcanokinesis » he can control volcanoes and lava, as well as being immune to their effects.
When Hera rioted against Zeus, Hephaestus did not join her, however he freed her from hanging above the void of Chaos. Zeus was furious and threw Hephaestus from Mount Olympus to Lemnos, breaking all his bones. He healed eventually, and returned to Olympus, where Zeus apologised ( for once ).
His marriage to Aphrodite came about because of Hera ( nice work, keep ruining his life why don't you ). The other gods were all fighting over her, but Hephaestus assumed he wasn't good enough for her so didn't bother. Hera, in an attempt to stop them from fighting, suggested she marry Hephaestus. Athena agreed, saying nobody could be envious of him ( jeez, thanks a lot ).
But of course, Aphrodite had no interest in being faithful to him. When Helios revealed her infidelity ( with Ares, of all people ) Hephaestus was furious. He created a golden net and wove it between the bedposts in his and Aphrodite's bedroom. Then he left Olympus, and the two took advantage of that, only to be trapped by the golden net ( seriously, stop annoying him, he's good at making traps ). He had intended to humiliate them, but the other gods were too busy laughing at them. Poseidon, however, was mature enough to ask Hephaestus to release the two, and they eventually reached an agreement where Hephaestus would get back Aphrodite's dowry, along with ten wagon-loads of Ares' best armour, weaponry and war spoils.
The modern era has been, arguably, Hephaestus' favourite. New technologies — though the Industrial Revolution was his favourite part of the modern era, you can't beat smartphones. New methods of humiliating Ares and Aphrodite — they have cameras. He's basically a kid in a candy shop. ( but you can't go past star wars, like seriously. that thing is a masterpiece )

Why does it hurt so much, to be alone?
Himeros, the god and erote of unrequited love and sexual desire. Himeros was born alongside Eros his twin. While Eros was often very chaotic love, Himeros was love that isn't returned. Himeros has a bow and arrows that he uses similar to the way Eros uses his arrows, just with different effects. Himeros also has wings, just like Eros. Sometimes Himeros is seen wearing a taenia.
During the era of Greeks, Himeros spent the majority of his time working with his brother Eros, but as soon as the Romans took over and Eros became Cupid, Himeros disappeared. Himeros was not one of the gods that became tainted with a Roman double, but because of this he could no longer stay with his brother. So Himeros mourned over the lose of his brother during the age of Romans. Perhaps that was why love was different between the Greek and Roman eras.
Himeros lay low until the early 1900s when Hesiod's Theogony was translated. Until then almost everyone had forgotten about Himeros. He was weak but he knew what he needed to do. Himeros searched for his brother, slowly regaining his power as he did so. However, when he did find where Eros was he was too weak to make an actual appearance so he followed Eros, like he had used to, and kept the balance, a ghost, a whisper in the wind.
Finally, after regaining enough of his strength, Himeros has decided to make an appearance at the school for demigods Eros teaches at.

Himeros' form of love is very lonely unlike his brother's chaotic love and mother's romantic love. This may be due to Himeros always living in the shadow of Eros. Himeros has a longing and desire for something more but can't seem to ever find it. His live is the kind where you crush on someone and flirt, but they never return the feelings. His arrows can cause someone to reject the love of another or cause someone to be filled with a longing and desire that is not returned.
Himeros finds that it is very important for there to be balance in love. While his brother's love causes chaos, Himeros balances it out. Himeros doesn't like it when he has to clean up after any messes his brother creates. For if Eros has brought on to much chaotic love, Himeros must push the love away before it becomes too dangerous. He honestly wishes his brother was more careful, and not so... lust driven. Which may be odd coming from a god that does cover sexual desire, but Himeros focuses on the desire and longing side of sexual desire.
Himeros does have troubles with relationships. Stuck as the god of unrequited love it has taken a dangerous hold on him. If he falls in love with someone, they will never return the feelings. If someone falls in love with him he cannot return the feelings. This is the tragedy of unrequited love that Himeros is stuck with. Himeros often ends up satiating his desire temporarily with one night stands that mean nothing. Most of these one night stands are with men for various reasons. This does mean that Himeros carries most of his children, not that there are many. Himeros tries to avoid ending up having a child, or a woman having a child of his, because more often then not his curse effects his children meaning that they will struggle with the same problem he has and/or he does not have any form of love for them.

Abilities
Amokinesis: Himeros has the ability to control unrequited love, longing, and desire. He can't control love as a whole, just the parts his domains fall under.
Archery: While not as skilled at archery as Apollo and Artemis, Himeros' skill with a bow and arrow matches that of his brother's.
Arrows of unrequited love and desire: Himeros has two different types of arrows that work the same as Eros' but have different effects. The first type are black arrows of unrequited love that when they hit the target will push the target away from feelings of love for another (of Himeros' choice). The second type are silver arrows of desire that cause the target they hit to seek out love and usually sex, though if they fall in love with someone while under the arrow's influence the feelings will not be returned.
Shapeshifting: Like all gods Himeros can change his appearance at will, though has a preferred look.
Love detection: Himeros can sense when someone loves another person.
Flight: Himeros has white wings that allow him to fly.
Languages of love: As a son of Aphrodite, Himeros is fluent in the languages of love, though interestingly enough, the language of love he is most fluent in is Romanian. Other languages of love he is fluent in include Spanish, Portugese, French, and Italian.

PERSONALITY
Seshat is someone that will protect people from danger. She protects people willingly and shows it by the fact that she wears a leopard dress. Leopard skin represents protection from danger. Libraries are also safe havens for those that need it. Seshat isn't motherly but she protects those that come to her in need and provides a safe place for them.
Seshat is precise in her work and the way she acts. She doesn't take the chance of making mistakes. Recording records and working math problems requires a steady hand and precision. Seshat acts with precision and walks with careful steps. Her precision is represented by the cresent often seen above her head.
Seshat is divine. She holds her head high with a regal posture. While she may not be remembered by many she understands her importance and knows her place. She is a goddess and holds her self as such. However, while divine and strict, Seshat is not a cruel goddess. One of the aspects of the cresent above her head is this divinity.
The final aspect represented by her cresent is dexterity. Seshat is clever and skillful. She knows how to use the knowledge she has and is a master at problem solving. She can work through any problem she is given. She is smart and she knows it, so it would be wise to not mess with her.
Seshat believes in and understands karma. "To chang our collective and individual futures we must first learn from the past." Seshat has recorded so much history that she has seen history repeat itself and karma playing a hand in those both good and bad that have earned it. She understands that karma plays a hand in the way of life and that for it to be turned good, people musts be good themselves and not let history repeat.
Finally Seshat is purely logical. Her work is knowledge based and doesn't allow much room for emotions like love, happiness, pain, and saddness. She may record and read about these mortal emotions but she doesn't feel them. Seshat is not in touch with emotions from having worked in libraries and worked with records for so many years. Record keeping, writing, mathematics, astronomy, architecture, the aspects of knowledge and being in charge of them has made Seshat knowledge driven. Being knowledge driven connects her to the chamber of darkness which is the representation of letting go of mundane things and focusing on inner life (knowledge).

HISTORY
Seshat is the daughter of Nut, goddess of the sky and Geb, of the earth. Her siblings include Osiris, Isis, and Seth. Seshat is also one of the first goddesses and therefore one of the oldest of of the Egyptian deities.
Seshat is the counterpart of Thoth. She is very likely his sister and is also his wife/consort. It is also possible that they had a son together named Hornub though it is questionable whether or not this is true. If Hornub is actually son of Seshat and Thoth, he would also be a knowledge deity.
One of Seshat's most important roles has been assisting the pharoah in the ritual pedj shes (stretching of the cord) where measurements are taken before a building like a temple is built. She helps with the allignment and the measurements to make sure they are correct. It is a very important responisibility.
Seshat was the one who invented writing and is the one female scribe that is signifigantly noted in Egyptian records. However Thoth was the one that taught Egyptians how to write. Even so, Seshat's role as the scribe is very important and shows how much she actually does for record keeping and writing.
Stories and inscriptions written by mortals have an ethereal copy created that is transferred to Seshat who puts the stories and inscriptions in the library of the gods. She catalogs and keeps track of everything.
Seshat assists Nephthys in preparing the dead for their judgement in the afterlife by helping the dead move forward using The Egyptian Book of the Dead and the spells within. Seshat possibly also builds homes for the deceased, giving them a safe shelter.
Seshat recorded everyday events, lists of spoils of war such as goods and captives, lists of tributes payed and owed to the king, and the account of the pharaohs life. Recording keeping was a lot of what Seshat does and perhaps always has a part of herself keeping record of everything happening.
Seshat is the one that gives the pharaoh palm branches to give him a long reign. Seshat is said to have been one of the guardians over Osiris' corpse along with Isis.
Seshat's most important part in history has always been as the librarian. She manages all records and books. It is who she is. She is the scribe and the librarian. She takes care of all knowledge while Thoth is in charge of knowledge.

ABILITIES
Cosmic knowledge: She knows everything that is in the house of life, which is everything that has ever been written. Math, language, history, etc
Knowledge Replication: She is able to replicate all the knowledge she has ever known
Numerical precision: She is extremely precise with numbers and able to accurately calculate anything.
Magic: She has powerful magic like Isis and Thoth.
Teleportation: She can travel anywhere she wishes as she pleases, including between worlds
Enhanced senses and reflexes
Immortal
Some degree of Shapeshifting though less so than gods with animal forms
Immune to effects of certain divine words
Omnipresent
The ability to see and manipulate ba
Seal entrances and exits with her symbol (seven pointed star or palm leaves connected to a wand or stylus with a cresent above) to prevent them from opening

Clever
Taliesin is clever. He is capable of viewing a situation and coming up with a plan rather quickly. He is quick to come up with a response to situations and could even be considered as quick witted
Smart
Taliesin has the knowledge of many things brought about from the three drops of Caridwen's brew, making him very smart. It's not a good idea to challenge Taliesin in any capacity because he will find a way to outsmart you
Crafty
Taliesin is crafty in the sense that he can easily achieve his ends, though he may not tell anyone what he's doing or what his goals are, he often has good intentions.
Traveler
Taliesin doesn't often stay in one place for long. He travels a lot, spreading music and helping people.

Gwion Bach, son of Gwreang of Llanfair was employed by Caridwen to stir a cauldron of inspiration and science. After about a year, three of the drops landed on Gwion's finger, and being burnt he put the drops and finger in his mouth and he foresaw everything that was to come. The cauldron split in two and the contents poisoned the stream and horses. When Caridwen discovered Gwion was to blame she chased after him, both showing their shapeshifting abilities until Caridwen caught Gwion and ate him. Nine months later she gave birth to Gwion as a baby boy so beautiful she could not bear to kill him, so she cast him into the sea to be at the mercy of higher powers.
And at that time the weir of Gwyddno was on the strand between Dyvi and Aberystwyth, near to his own castle, and the value of an hundred pounds was taken in that weir every May eve. And in those days Gwyddno had an only son named Elphin, the most hapless of youths, and the most needy. And it grieved his father sore, for he thought that he was born in an evil hour. And by the advice of his council, his father had granted him the drawing of the weir that year, to see if good luck would ever befall him, and to give him something wherewith to begin the world.
And the next day when Elphin went to look, there was nothing in the weir. But as he turned back he perceived the leathern bag upon a pole of the weir. Then said one of the weir-ward unto Elphin, "Thou wast never unlucky until to-night, and now thou hast destroyed the virtues of the weir, which always yielded the value of an hundred pounds every May eve, and to-night there is nothing but this leathern skin within it." "How now," said Elphin, "there may be therein the value of an hundred pounds." Well, they took up the leathern bag, and he who opened it saw the forehead of the boy, and said to Elphin, "Behold a radiant brow!" 1
p. 474
"Taliesin be he called," said Elphin. And he lifted the boy in his arms, and lamenting his mischance, he placed him sorrowfully behind him. And he made his horse amble gently, that before had been trotting, and he carried him as softly as if he had been sitting in the easiest chair in the world. And presently the boy made a Consolation and praise to Elphin (“TALIESIN 471a.” The Mabinogion: Taliesin: Taliesin, www.sacred-texts.com/neu/celt/mab/mab....)
Taliesin sang poems for Elphin and to Gwyddno, who were both convinced that Taliesin, though but a baby, would become the greatest bard there ever was. Taliesin was raised by Elphin and his wife.
When Taliesin was 13 Elphin was imprisoned by Maelgwn, because Maelgwn was jealous of the things Elphin was boasting about and did not believe them to be true. While Elphin was able to prove the virtues of his wife to a degree, it was Taliesin who rode to the court of Maelgwn that inevitably led to Elphin being freed. Taliesin first used magic to cause the other bards and minstrels to appear as fools before Maelgwn. Then he sang poems to Maelgwn, proving not only his talent but also the power he had. Elphin was freed and all that Elphin had boasted about was proven to be true.
After this Taliesin convinced Elphin to make a wager with Maelgwn in the form of a horse race. Taliesin gave careful instruction to the youth that would be riding Elphin's horse. After the race had been won by Elphin's horse, Taliesin had the ground dug up in one spot that revealed a pot of gold as repayment to Elphin for having raised him.
Taliesin later told the king of many things and even sung for King Arthur. He continues to travel and spread his knowledge and songs.

Powers
Shapeshifting
Taliesin is capable of shapeshifting into any animal he so wishes to and retain all his knowledge and conscious.
Song craft
Taliesin has a natural affinity for singing and creating poems
Omniscience
Taliesin has a high level of omniscience as he knows many and possibly all things from the droplets of brew he had. He was even capable of speaking fluently as a relatively new born baby when he was reborn
Sorcery
Taliesin has a degree of sorcery, having been able to cause bards and minstrels to no longer be able to sing and cause a great storm to arise
Supernatural Beauty
Taliesin is so beautiful that even as a baby Caridwen could not bring herself to kill him, and he has remained this beautiful even with age. Though he tends to wear a disguise now. He is still handsome though, even in his disguise
