An Appetite for Wonder: The Making of a ScientistChaos: Making a New Science
Sonic Wonderland: A Scientific Odyssey of Sound
Roshan, the book The Hidden Reality: Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos is good, but we already read it during December, 2012.
Alok, thanks for your nomination of The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution. It is excellent, but we already read it during April, 2010.
Muthuvel, thanks for your nominations! They all look very good, but we already read the book Chaos: Making a New Science during May 2015.

The Dinosaur Hunters: A True Story of Scientific Rivalry and the Discovery of the Prehistoric World by Deborah Cadbury. Also published as Terrible Lizard: The First Dinosaur Hunters and the Birth of a New Science
Roshan, I don't think that KORAH'S ATONEMENT fits in with the theme of Science and Inquiry. But your other nomination, Hyperspace looks very good.
Ya-hui wrote: "Missing Microbes: How the Overuse of Antibiotics Is Fueling Our Modern Plagues"I second this one! I have been wanting to read this book. I think it sounds like a VERY relevant topic in current science.
The Girl AT The Bar, Nicholas Nashhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Blurb:
Rebecca, a brilliant cancer researcher disappears without a trace after a one-night stand with a neurotic man with a questionable past. Her sudden disappearance in the midst of a high-stakes quest to cure cancer between two rival billionaires sets into motion an inexplicable chain of events as the bodies start to pile up. No one knows why she disappeared. The race to find answers ensnares everyone around her, one of whom is a deeply disturbed psychopath lurking in the shadows.
Is Rebecca still alive? What happened to her? Who did it? And why? Questions about her vex everyone looking for answers. No one can be trusted and no one is above suspicion.

The Vital Question: Energy, Evolution, and the Origins of Complex Life. This one came in second twice in prior month's votes. We read his Power, Sex, Suicide: Mitochondria and the Meaning of Life a few years ago and it generated one of the largest book discussions we've had.You don't often get to read about an new hypothesis for the origin of life.

Sorry. We're not looking for fiction.
