I enjoyed the challenge of the unfamiliar dialect and the beauty of wonderfully descriptive literature. Jacob Ross weaves the threads of the story with poetic descriptions of the environment, the understated strength of the women inhabiting his crime novel and dark undercurrents. I found it spellbinding and it kept me guessing to the end. He captures the idealism of life and turns it on its head in an uneasy reality where truth and justice conquer in the end.
