A place to discuss, share your thoughts, feelings and questions about The Long Way Home, number ten in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series.

NancyJ (nancyjjj) Reading a Louise Penny book feels like coming home. This book was more introspective than some of the others. It was full of psychological and philosophical insights. Some reviewers apparently thought it was light on action, but that was OK with me. This is exactly what I needed this weekend. I love the Clara and Peter focus of this book, and the discussions of art and different locations. It made me want to go to the St Lawrence River and see the sights and art they described - maybe next summer! It would also be nice to visit Scotland, but I'll have to make do with the YouTube videos on The Garden of Cosmic Speculation. BTW, it's more beautiful than I expected.
