So this is a game where someone gets six words and has to write a poem including all six, and then leave six more for the next person

I'll start

The words are: stars, burn, death, cold, white, golden

Are you jealous of me?
Why are you being mean to me?
Everyone has a Dark side I know

But they also have a light side too
I know you probably don't think I'm right
but please believe me

Do you know what the color Green symbolizes?
It symbolizes harmony.
Why can't we all just live in peace and harmony?

They never call me pretty
they look at brown skin
see slowly forming double chin
and I know everyone sees what i do
but still I wonder
they never call me pretty
don't they see the way my smile
covers up the dark scars on
hearts that have never felt love
and bodies used to stares
by everyone that dared to lay their
eyes on the weird looking girl,
and I wonder
how people cannot see the beauty
that is in the kindness of every
gaze I bestow upon them
every "I love you" that escapes my lips
why can't I be appreciated too
they never call me pretty
and I don't want them too

Why can't we just have some peace?
Why can't we all just love each other?
I just want everyone to feel happiness.
I want us to be with each other.

And have fun and laughter,
right under the blue sky.
I want us all to go to the beach.

Just like we used to.

joyfully my best friend
walks up to me and says,
"long time no see"
she hugs me, squeezes me
tight around the middle,
and for a second, I cannot breathe

I try to choke out a,
"glad to see ya", but
the laughter in her face
brings out sadness from
old days, when we would
lay in bed and say that
we wish it would all end
then I realize that that was yesterday

I force a fake laugh,
and she seems to understand
that i've forgotten how we lasted
as friends for so long
she says, "follow me"
I'll teach you to have fun
and my re-education course
has finally begun

we do a self-exploration
staying away from the sticky stuff,
like hurt, and pain, and family
and she finds our old frenemy
points, laughs, asks, "love?
who could love ugly old me"
and I laugh with her, because it's been so long
and it finally feels good
so I play our favorite song

"The knife goes chop chop chop
If I miss the spaces in-between
my fingers will come off"
except, this is not a game
and we don't play with fingers
"isn't this fun?!" she shouts
as the world twirls about and about
I wake up collapsed on my mother's couch
hoping it was all a dream
I look down at my arm
and let out a scream
My best friend has left her mark
I guess this time she wanted to stay
she's tired of me kicking her out
of the meds drivng her away
I tell myself not again,
but in the corner of my I see
my best friend walking up to me

I thought I could see everything
I thought my kingdom was forever

I didn't know about how heartbreak can tear through your soul
Smash your glasses to the ground like they're nothing
Just jeweled pieces at your golden feet
And when you look up
When you raise your eyes
There is only heartbreak
And your whole world is shattered like a fist to the face
And you're left staggering
And nothing can fix it
And you can't believe
That it was you, that it was all on you
But for a second you look down
And you wonder if all that gold
Broke this world
If all that gold
Touched your heart more than it should
If all that gold
Spoke some demon talk to your soul
If all that gold
Had shattered many before it shattered you
If all that gold
Made you too damn selfish

I don't know if this touched me because it's hella awesome, or because I'm just overly me, lol, but it's good

I stare down into the well
as if I stare long enough
I will somewhere find my soul
hidden deep deep down in this
dark, dank hole

I peer over the edge a little farther
wonder if maybe it's stuck to the walls
wondering if maybe I will fall
and if someone would find me laying
broken into a million pieces at the bottom
or will I disintegrate like mold

I wipe my hand against the side
and shards of regret like
smashed beer bottles on the side
of the red corvette
that I won't live long enough
to become rich enough to get
pierce my skin
and blood that was once blue
turns red decides to join the darkness
and my heart does too
as I say goodbye
to you

I'm sitting alone in the dark with my cat
Is it a gun, is it a light?
The shining metal keeps me still.
How I wish this was a tower, not a stone cold
Basement.
And now I'm sick in the stomach, green,
And sick in my head, red and blue
And dots and sparks and lines.
Maybe my head will float away like a balloon.
I scrabble for more, but there is no more.
Not in the basement.
And I don't want to stand up, don't want to leave.
I clutch the cat tighter.
He tries to bite me and I drop him on the floor.

Promised that I can fly
But looking from way up here

Meeting you was like
fresh air in lungs that had never learned to breathe
terrifying
invigorating
you introduced me into a whole new world
full of sunflowers
still waters
green pastures
you taught my heart how to fly
right when it had almost decided to die
then you told me to trust you
and just let go
fall into your arms
that you'd take me to whole new worlds
I fell
But these were worst than the old
because you left me to fend for myself
lost, under unfamiliar skies
with a heart that no longer wants to die

He slunk in like a cat

They told me the world was built on hope
full of sunshine and flowers, happiness, love
But all I see are bones
creaking, rotting skeletons
of a world that once knew love


They told me that it was a gift
That many great people fall from grace
and I was lucky to be assured of success
I don't know what kind of gift that is
that tears my soul and stuns my heart
till my lungs can't breathe
how am I still alive

They told me I would be able to say goodbye
that they wouldn't leave me without warning
But I am alone, lonely, in this world
and I don't feel great at all
why did you leave me

My soul is torn
between simply watching the wind
howl against the window
or giving into the feeling
of nostalgia
that tells me just to walk outside

and leave everyone to wonder
why I'm gone

Firm and proud I ride my mount
For my country
I swore
I trained, I was broken down and built up once again
I am a commander
I rose because of my diligence
I will do right by my men
They will all come back alive because of me
This village is full of resistance
I know because Intelligence says so
Intelligence isn't wrong
My men are tired
We've been riding hard
Now we're trying to contain these desperate, clamoring people
I shout orders until I'm hoarse
We set the whole village on fire
It is a beast, burning as it breathes, and it destroys them
Sends the elders sobbing, the young men brought to their knees
I am doing my duty
These people deserve this
I am obeying my orders
And yet, late that night, lying alone on my hard bed
Out drops a single tear

On the wide chessboard of war
Real life
We look up from the wooden board and smile softly
Our hands are white and clean
You won't find any blood here, brother
This swordplay is safe enough
Child's toys spar on a gameboard
And we sweep away the world

in my frozen heart
I conjure a tale -
a legend
of dragons and trees of song
and a place where there is no wrong
but I know in my head,
that it is not real
and in this terrible, terrible real world,

There's ice in my veins and I'm freezing apart
I just might shatter all over your kitchen floor
And I'm sorry about the shaking
I get the blue look might be scary for you
My lips are so cold I can't even breathe anymore

I am not as broken as the world would like to believe
These shards are tearing me apart
And I'm not fighting it, I understand too well the ways of this world

You don't know how good your warm arms feel
I can see the hurt in your eyes and I wish that my stupid ice
Didn't tear your soul as well, you deserve so much better

I don't deserve to be thawed
I am okay to die alone, I'm limited collateral damage

As soon as I fully freeze
