MajorTom, with respect, this is not Yann Martel's Booker winner. "Life of Pi" is his Booker winner. Would you care to make another nomination?

If you've not had the chance to join the conversation for January's pick, Midnight's Children, you can do so here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
As always, you are able to nominate one book and up-vote two others. Please DO NOT nominate a book that you've seen someone already nominate in this thread. Instead, you can give it 1 of your 2 upvotes so I know that you are also interested in reading it. Of course you can only nominate past Man Booker winners (not books that were short or long-listed).
In the past we have read the following, so they are not eligible for February:
-The God of Small Things
-The Blind Assassin
-The Line of Beauty
-The Luminaries
-The Narrow Road to the Deep North
-A Brief History of Seven Killings (last year's winner)
-The Sellout (this year's winner)
-The Sense of an Ending
-Hotel du Lac
-Midnight's Children
I'll start the nomination process with The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Nominations will close on January 30th @ midnight PST. Winner will be announced on the 31st.
