Play Book Tag discussion

Georgie McCool is very career driven and often puts her work before her family. Her marriage has suffered because of her goals. She's known it's in trouble for a long time, but she really knows something has to change when her husband takes their two daughters and leaves without her to spend Christmas with his family in Omaha.

I really loved this honest look at marriage and relationships. I felt for Georgie in regards to the consequences of her choices. While I understood what was happening to her marriage every time she put work before her husband and daughters, I know it's difficult to see the ramifications when you're that close to the problem.

I really enjoyed going down memory lane with her as she decides whether her marriage is worth saving. I'm a bit disappointed by the ending because it wasn't everything I wanted it to be, but it felt more realistic than what I had imagined/wanted, and my disappointment isn't enough to ruin the book for me.

If this is how all of Rowell's books are, then I look forward to reading more of her works.
