I love a good ghost story. I'd prefer non-crime, but am open. Can anyone recommend one based in Scotland?

And check out this link to Books From Scotland Ghost stories http://www.booksfromscotland.com/Cate...
I've asked for the Scottish paranormal since, oh I don't know, November. Q;-)= If you read and review five by February 2015, they suit my little-known group "Ethereal"! :-) So far I only have Giles Gordon and Susanna Kearsley's can be mystical. I own all, read the first. Her excessive adjectives bumb me out (always "stared vacantly, twiddled absently, flipped idly"). Soft words make a sentence weak, less brisk & direct, redundant. Staring / stirring coffee is already idle. *sigh* Her originality is wonderful! If only her editor were more strict. Carolyn. Peggy, I just finished CAULDSTANE from Linda Gillard. First time I have read hers. I will be checking your recommendation as well.C., I have just recently found Dusanna Kearsley and have now read 3 of hers. I will check out Giles Gordon.
Thanks so much!
Were you at my blog? That's great! Nice to hear from you, Beth. See my thread for my present read. It doesn't have ghosts but there are many, many more ways to be paranormal. :) Carolyn. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/etherea...

The Shining
I'm not sure I can read it. I've seen the movie to many times. :) I know the book will be better. I may try it anyways. thanks for the recommendation!
Ill shamelessly plug my recent publication The Key-Stone of the Bridge a modern day Ghost story. You can download an excerpt and decide if its for you!

I guess everyone knows "Wandering Willie's Tale" by Sir Walter Scott. It's appears as a digression in the novel
But it's also included in many of the best ghost story compilations. Scott should have written more ghost stories. He was an authority on folklore. Must have known masses of them. No one could write it better.
