Dakiti (Transcendence Publishing, 2014), the first novel of E. J. Fisch's Ziva Payvan series, has been mentioned on another thread in this group; but surprisingly, no one has recommended it here yet. I'll be the first to rectify that omission! I gave it five stars; I found it to be a very polished, well written and well plotted action-oriented sci-fi yarn, with three-dimensional characters and a strong heroine as the protagonist.
