What moods has the book created for you so far? Why did you feel that way? Was the author trying to create this mood for you? If so, then how did he/she do it? If not, what made you feel this way?

Tanvi | 7 comments So far this book started with giving me the feeling of hmmm what could be happening and then it started giving me feeling of dread and suspicion and next was hope that she would hopefully be okay now it is plain dread because she is now a wanted criminal.I think the author was trying to create these moods because of how well she describes thing.

Jada | 8 comments The book makes me feel eerie and sketchy about the characters especially Kayla's mom. I feel that way because her mom's bar code tattoo is turning her life upside down. When her mom dies it makes me feel bad for Kayla because she has no one to rely on anymore. I think the author was trying to make me feel this way because she has both Kayla's parents die because of the bar code. And Zekeal turned on Kayla and the whole decode group.

I agree with you Tanvi, because the mood is starting to become suspicious, especially some of the people that Kayla trusts, or trusted.

Leah Ahlers | 8 comments This book is making me feel scared about what is she going to do. Kayla's mom talked to Kayla and really doesn't want her to get the tattoo after her dad committed suicide. Kayla thinks the tattoo is because her father was depressed ever since he got it. Kayla's mom starts to fall apart after it all and Kayla comes home one night to find her mom is a panic attack and she put herself on fire and also the house and Kayla's mom died in the fire. In that part of the story I felt sick to my stomach for Kayla because she has no parents now and every one she trusts or trusted are starting to get deceiving. This book is getting a really suspicious mood now with everything going on.

Jaden Johnson (smithdoge100) | 3 comments This book makes me feel scared because of all the things that are happening to her family. If I was in here situation I would have ran too. I think the author was trying to create this mood so that everyone would be able to see how it feels if it were happening to them or me. He was created the mood by making all the things that were happening to her family seem real.
