That's really awesome! Count me in.
Just downloaded the book.
Just downloaded the book.
Will Greg only be popping in on ONE certain day or periodically through the month?? -Jen from Quebec :0) (PS) Ironically, or COINCIDENTALLY, I JUST bought this book on a whim about 2 weeks ago! This is meant to be!
I already have my copy of this. I'll hold off on making a start for a few weeks, it'll give me a chance to clear the deck of current reads.

I've also confirmed tonight that Greg will be giving away to one lucky participant in our Group Read a beautiful limited-edition hardcover copy of Savages, numbered and signed by Greg.
Really?? Thanks, Greg! This is so cool! I LOVE this group ad am so glad I found it and joined last year. So, you can win just by participating in the group read and making comments on here? -Jen from Quebec :0)

So here's the deal on how to be eligible to win the limited-edition hardcover:
1 - Purchase and read the book with the group.
2- Participate in the discussion here.
3 - Give a review, good, bad, or otherwise, on Amazon.
4 - Keep your fingers crossed, rub a lucky rabbit's foot, horseshoe, etc.
That's it!

Thank you so much to Ken for hosting this read with Greg and to all you all for participating. I've been a member of this group and my apologies for not being active prior - of course it's a great group. At Sinister Grin Press, we appreciate you reading Savages and are super happy to be able to giveaway this Limited Edition hardcover of Savages. There were only 60 made! Greg will be popping in this month and he'll be happy for you to pick his brain. Thanks again for your time and I hope you enjoy the book! If you need anything from me, please let me know.
Well I started reading this book and couldn't put it down and now I am finished. I thought it was very good and waiting for the discussion to start........
Off to bed now, but should be free to start this one over the weekend. The possibility of winning a signed copy is awesome!
Started reading it yesterday, couldn't put it down! I'm savoring the last half of it. This is fantastic. I love the character development.
Hi everyone. I'll do my best to stop in often as I can. Thank you for the interest and support, I sincerely appreciate it.
Well, Greg, I sincerely appreciate YOU and what you're doing for/with this group! I have just purchased my copy and read the first few pages. Very cool stuff this far! -Jen from Quebec :0)
Got my copy, haven't started yet, finishing off another read first. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in though.
It's very rare for me to read a book in one sitting but I did. I really enjoyed it. That's all I'll say for now, let others read it before I go into details.Fantastic story Greg, I'll definitely be reading more of your work!
I'm up to chapter six, and it's fair to say things are getting 'very' interesting! It's also fair to say that someone should kick Gino in the nuts! :)

Not just once, but at least twice for good measure.

Greg, what can you tell us about the cover? It has a nice, vintage look going on. Who designed it? Did you have any input into the design of it?

I was siding with him instead of Herm from the beginning, and I'm glad I did!
Although in real life I think I'd find someone like Gino really annoying, but in their situation I would really appreciate having someone like Gino sorting things out for me.
The cover art is fantastic. I'm a huge Rob Zombie fan and this reminded me of that kind of style. Would you call it Grindhouse like?
Ken wrote: "Greg, what can you tell us about the cover? It has a nice, vintage look going on. Who designed it? The cover went through a couple versions before landing on the design you have before you. Greg very specifically wanted a pulp feel and I think Zach nailed it.
Gore and More noob here. Signed up just for the read along. Big horror fan but sadly Mr. Gifune's works have slipped past me til now. Found lots of reader praise and excellent ratings on all of his books. Looking forward to joining in.
As usual I'm late to the party. I'll try to start this one soon. I bought at the end of last year after this groups recommendation of the author and reading Children of Chaos

That cover does scream pulp. Cover blurb certainly sounds like it will be in that vein. I should be starting on this tomorrow or day after that, trying to finish up my current read now.

Hey, Jennifer, you're coming across a bit Beach Barbie! Only kidding! :)
To be honest, if I was on that island Gino would be getting right up my nose. It's ok for him to try and take a lead, but there's no excuse for his bullying and belittling manner.
