I just bought this from Book Depository and I am super excited!

Has anyone read it?

Marisa (daemonsskitten) | 23 comments I finished the book yesterday. It was really enjoyable, but honestly the author just has a way about her. Her books are always so cute, sweet and realistic.

The book was a fun read. Once I got into it, I didn't want to put it down.

I'm glad you liked it!
That's what I've been hearing about her books a lot so I'm excited to get on the Jenny Han bandwagon.

Does anyone know if it's a stand alone or going to be a series?

That's what I thought when I looked up reviews!! Couldn't you have just written them on scrap paper and throw them in the rubbish bin and have the same effect hahahaha.

I really love the font though, its definitely one of the nicer looking contemporary books.

I am super excited, mine still hasn't come in the mail but hopefully on Monday I will get it! I am glad you liked it :)

It is kind of annoying me that she is to referred to as Lara Jean not just Lara. Does anyone feel like this?

Rose (bookishrose) Lisa you are so right!!! I just refused to read it like that and read it just as "Lara". I don't know why, I just didn't like it as a two words name.

Kaitlyn (kaitlynfoster) | 1 comments I just finished this book and I have to say I loved this book way more than I thought I would. I especially really liked Peter, I found him annoying at first, but as the book went on I started to like him(;

Rose (bookishrose) I did like Peter from the beginning. Like I saw he was THE guy. I did not like Josh soon I started the book.

Did anyone disliked Margot? At the end I kind of wanted to punch her in the face. Blaming Lara for everything and all. I get she had a bit of a hard life (taking over her mother's place as a mom) but dang she annoyed me so much.

I related a little bit to Margot and Lara because it was somewhat similar to me and my sister but yes she frustrated me.
In The Summer I Turned Pretty discussion we talked about how the girl is wuite young. I felt this too in TATBILB, she was sixteen but at times I felt like she was a lot younger, did anyone feel like this?

Rose (bookishrose) Yes I felt like sometimes she was younger, but I liked that. I think we all deserve moments of weaknesses, moments to be a bit immature. Lara has a lot on her plate (as she takes care of a big part of the house and her sister). Other times she felt really mature.

Margot felt at least quite real and not uninteresting, which is something :)

Taylor wrote: "I didn't like Josh. I kind of hoped maybe at the beginning of the book that it was him. Mainly because Peter was so different from most of the boys in young adult books. I guess I just expected her..."

to be honest I didn't really like either of the boys very much, they weren't swoon worthy to me. Although I didn't mind them I think I liked the premise of the story more and the personal development rather than the romance. I was happy a tiny bit when she randomly kissed Peter at school. I just felt the book lacked a little and I am still trying to pinpoint where that was.

Rose (bookishrose) We are use to fun sexy characters and a regular boy (which both Peter and Josh are) are not very exiting to read about. I did like Peter he was fun! Not the other girl part of the story. Rolled my eyes quite hard a few times.

Marisa (daemonsskitten) | 23 comments At first I wanted to root for Josh, because he was kind of unrequited. Honestly though he is so boring compared to peter. It would have been okay for her to hook up with Josh, but maybe not because then we would get more fighting with Margo.
