Welcome to our June book!

What are your first impressions as you start reading?

Good so far - about 75 pages in and, while the writing style is different, it is not too distracting.

Bleak like The Road - which I did see it compared to.

Funny side note: This is set in Denver - which is where our January book, (Three Weeks To Say Goodbye, was set. Coincidence! I wont keep making the group read books about Colorado!

I loved this book! And I also loved The Road; I assume that you are referring to the Cormac McCarthy book!

IF you like Peter Heller, he just came out with The Painter. I will give it a try.

Yes that is The Road I was referring to. I did not care for it too much. So far I am liking this one better.
