Have just finished up to chapter 9.

Thoughts so far: (view spoiler)[Heather's an awesome character that has a lot of heart and gumption. When I read about Jordan Cartwright I wanted to throttle him and was proud of the way that Heather acted around him even when he wouldn't stop screeching at her to make her talk to him. its an interesting premise with an average sized girl who wants to solve the mystery of the girls deaths in her residence hall. Heather's pop star past just adds to the fun of it. Cooper seems to be the only one that believes her though. Lets hope she is right and the girls didn't just die accidentally. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-8
I agree - HEather seems like a great character! She is funny and relatable! It's very interesting that she's a former pop star, but i am kinda annoyed that her MILLIONS of dollars were taken away from her so easily! How does that even happen ?! that's kind of annoying me, because i keep thinking that in real life this could never happen - at least i don't think it's realistic...

Anyways, the dorm (residence hall!!!) deaths are very mysterious - and as you say, i keep hoping she won't make a fool out of herself and be wrong about the whole thing! There better be a murderer involved!

Cooper could be a great , complicated character ... i wonder what his story is ... why so serious ? :)

Writing wise - fast paced, funny, and overall fluffy but good. I am bothered by the fact that the author/narrator has to correct herself EVERY single time she says "dorm" - with "i mean residence hall" - WE GET IT !!! Lol :)))

Ok so Christopher is her suspect. I get it ... BUT when she talked to the roomates of the dead girls, both mentioned the dead girls having a "new boyfriend" yet NEITHER recognized Christopher ... I assumed that meant that it WASN'T him - that it was someone else ... since the roomates saw the boyfriend and it wasn't this guy, then it can't be Christopher, right ?! .... Clearly i missed something...


Chapter 16: She sleeps with Jordan ???!! EW!! WHY???!!! (hide spoiler)]

Have finished Chapter 9 - chapter 15: (view spoiler)[and man do I want to strangle Jordan, it will be interesting to see if Chris ends up being the killer too. I think Heather is on the right track but it would be helpful if Cooper was more on board with her detecting . I just want something to go right for her for once. The elevator scene was surprising but I enjoyed reading it just the same. I think the reminding of the dorm/residence hall thing is a character weakness but it hasn't bothered me yet. (hide spoiler)] It might be helpful to read the princess diaries series to understand the author's voice too if you haven't done so already. Will try and read up to chapter 24 next weekend.

(view spoiler)[ Poor girl, almost got killed in that elevator shaft!! I feel bad for her , she just seems like nothing ever goes her way in life , in general! She seems pretty pathetic obsessing over Cooper... although after eandomly sleeping with her ex - I don't feel as bad for her.... Even though she managed to get dumped by him , AGAIN.... will this girl never learn?!?

So back to the elevator... i've never heard of this "elevator surfing" and find it hard to imagine what that actually looks like... but I definitely don't see how it would be a part of her job to stop something like this?!?

So far - the mystery is intriguing, but seems a bit too simple... there doesnt seem to be much more to it that someone's killing girls out of jealousy or a guy who slept with them or some psycho srrial killer , lol .... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 25 - end:
(view spoiler)[ sooo the killer was kinda obvious and she was just psychotic beyond belief. Overall , this was a fun read for me, but just too silly and unbelievable - even for chick lit. What bothered me were things like the fact that Heather thinks she's dying (getting killed) , yet she's thinking about Cooper and something embarrassing that he may know about her... really?? that's what you think about as you are about to die?! So shallow.... And stuff like that made it a bit annoying... But overall - a fun read... (hide spoiler)]
