What is unique about the setting of the book and how does it enhance or take away from the story?

The setting of the story is a small town which adds to the story because now all the kids have to get together and discuss what to do. The setting makes you think about what the kids are going to do with the smaller children and the little supplies they have.

This book is really is resembling the tittle. All the adults are dispersing. The only people that are left are the kids 14 and younger. They all have to live off with each other. The one food source they have is the McDonald's down the road. They all are scared little kids. They all need help with comfort. There are a few kids that are looking for adults. This has been a good story so far.

The setting is unique because its a small city and the children have to work together to try to escape it and they can only use materials that they have around the city. It enhances the intensity of the story.

the setting was unusual because usually the setting of a story like this is a apocoliptic setting. I think the setting inhaced the story because it showed what the had to worry about

The setting of the story, the FAYZ, is unique because all of the adults have disappeared. The only people left are fourteen and younger. This impacts the setting because there are no adults to decide how resources, such as food, are distributed. This creates complete chaos. For example, at the McDonald's, "kids had gone behind the counter and taken the cookies and danish pastries from the display case" (Grant 59). I think this would be fun at first, but only until all of the food ran out.

You make a great point. So many of the kids are scared and miss their parents. It would be a lot of pressure for the older kids because they have to take care of the younger kids and babies.

Because of the setting it makes you think about how these kids are going to work together to survive.

i agree with how all the kids have to work together and use whatever supplies they can find.
