Addicted to YA discussion

What did you think of it? Favorite or least favorite characters? Favorite or least favorite part? Will you read the next one?

I liked this book more than The Maze Runner. I thought the Scorch was more interesting than the Maze.
I enjoyed it more than the first book. I'm currently reading the third book. (:

I recently finished the third book about a week ago. My least favorite character is probably Brenda. My favorite character is Minho all the way!

I Love this series!!' Filled with such a twist on real life, action, heartbreak, (though mostly action), one of my favorite series

I would have to say Minho is my most favorite, (so demanding!!!)
And I don't really have a least favorite, though Teresa is maybe on the list....along with (view spoiler)[text (hide spoiler)] the right arm, besides Gally, cause everbody else was just plain selfish

No way, Teresa is too loyal to WICKED, and not to Thomas :)

Yeah I don't like Brenda much either. But Teresa annoyed me a lot too XD

Lol I guess, but Brenda isn't really that bad in my opinion. She's a lot like thomas

It was the 3rd book that really had me disliking her, especially at the ending. But in The Scorch Trials I thought she was alright.

What was so bad in the third book? Brenda and Thomas probably lived a happy life. (Spoiler)
Sad that Teresa died though. It was such a strong sacrifice!!!!

(view spoiler)[Yeah but at the end you find out that Brenda was keeping secrets from Thomas! Like she knew about the escape plan all along. It makes you question her trust and how trust worthy she is, not to mention what other secrets she's keeping from him. (hide spoiler)]

I thought The Maze Runner was really interesting and had a lot of potential but I feel like the rest of the series really dragged on and didn't have much of a purpose. All of the mystery and dead ends really got tiring for me. There was no satisfaction and it just got to be too much. I kind of wish James Dashner had just rounded off The Maze Runner and left it at one book.

For me this was great and bad all at the same time. For every question that was answered there are at least two more being put out there!! I love the series for sure though!! haha I have only read the series once, so I plan on reading them again in a few weeks! So excited for the movie in September!!!!

No movie can captivate the awesomeness of these series, yet looking forward to see how they try :)

I've read the entire series and I love it! I personally liked the characters in their various roles, but I wasn't overly thrilled with Brenda. Teresa, I loved and just wanted to scream at every time she did something stupid. Love Thomas though!

I've read the series and I liked it. Suprisely, I the second book more then the first one. Now they know what they're after.

Loved it about as much as the first; I've always liked the type of books where you have no idea what's going on until the end. And I'm still team Teresa.

Scorch Trails is my favorite out of all of them! Just like Priya I loved the aspect that as a reader you had no idea what was going on just as much Thomas because we were in his head. It made him such a real character for me(: Then the climax happened and I had to re read it several times...I was so shocked!! I'm looking forward to the movie soo much! If I could marry Dylan O'Brien, I would.

I liked it better than the first one. Still I think the characters need further development, specially the female ones. The lack of information and unanswered questions gets a little frustrating. I mean, if it is worth soooo much mystery it surely be awesome and amazing once revealed, and from former reviews I do not see that happening.

I loved this book Brenda was my favorite by far!!

Here is my review 3 out of 5 stars:
Just like the first book in the series, it took a while to get into the story than an abundance of action was thrown into your face. I enjoyed the introduction of the new characters: Aris, Jorge, and Brenda was brilliant, and brought a lot to the story. I will read the next book in the series to find out what Wicked is all about

yeah but Teresa was shady from the beggening and overdramatic. She never loved Thomas- she just wanted attention from him.
