Fantasy Book Club discussion

Hello all,

April will bring warmth to the northern hemisphere and chocolate, or there will be serious problems. I require all the eggs!

Anyway, to business: it's time to nominate, something excellent that we can't resist!

Place your book suggestions here, one nomination and one second per person. Do read through the rules first, please. Feel free to nominate books that have failed selection previously.

1. All nominations must be shelved on GR as fantasy primarily.

2. All nominations must be linked to their book page, or they'll be ignored.

3. All nominations must be seconded.

Sing the Four Quarters by Tanya Huff. Throwing in a Canadian author as it is Canada's 150th year in 2017.

Oh, sorry, I just assumed that since last year was 2014 that we might roll over to 2015 this year. Ok, let me think about it.

We used to not repeat any reads, but the membership has changed quite a bit.

I kind of wish group members would just reopen the discussions previously begun.

Goodreads is not set up very well for rereading.

Good side is...we can bring our favorite authors back to discuss books again.

I do love having our favorite authors speaking to us. Janny Wurts is an absolutely wonderful writer. I really can't believe I never read her before.

Oh, by the way, I'm almost through The Riddle-Master of Hed. Goodness, another really great book. I love the "old style" fantasy and this fits the mold really well. Patricia A. McKillip is another author I can't believe I've never read before.

At least it's now easier to find and mark re-read books.
