I'm trying to recall a recent series where its 'husband & wife agents' or some other dog/cat pair of operatives, 'dismissed from the FBI and tracking down terrorists on their own'...something like that.

Samuel, maybe you know what I'm referring to?

Unfortunately not Feliks. Haven't been watching many network TV dramas lately. The only drama with the FBI I know of is called The Blacklist by NBC and that's utter, utter rubbish that would have been cancelled on its first season had it not been for James Spader pulling in an enjoyable performance every single episode he's in.

The man takes material that's like dung and makes a golden performance out of it.

While it is most probably not the series you are looking for, Feliks, the only 'husband and wife agents' pair that I can think of is 'The Americans'. Now, that is one hell of a spy TV series!

Ty

I'm thinking of novels here rather than anything film/tv/video

Samuel I noticed one such in your Orion bookshelf; (I naturally went there first as you keep it so well-stocked) but just couldnt put my finger on it.

This book series (whatever it is) is 'known' enough that I even saw posters for it on my morning train commute...

if it comes to mind, let me know...thanks!

Roger Cave | 47 comments The only ones I can think about are the Fargo series by Clive Cuddler, but I don't think they were ex-FBI?

The Eye of Heaven

Thanks Rog. No, if it was Cussler I would've recognized it. This was something like a 'James Paterson' or some other bland name like that.

But yeah the well-worn imagery on the cover: 'man hanging on pod of seaplane with one hand, holding pistol in other hand'. Groan. Yeah just another day in the life....

Oh I second that motion, The Americans is just terrific!

Thanks. I really haven't watched television in yrs...I don't believe its good for people, or for the country either, for that matter. The way it encourages passivity and separates people from the word and from experiences. It's shocking to me how many hours per week people devote to it. I myself, am always looking for ways to cut down on any kind of screen-time, or monitors-in-my-face. Just musing aloud here...
