Small and Independent Press Books discussion

I've created a few other threads on our discussion board calling attention to various short story collections by Andrew Seddon. But his mastery of long fiction is just as great. Some of his writing in this format has been published by mid-sized presses, but this excellent novel is from the small sci-fi publisher Splashdown Books. This is hard SF in the space opera tradition, but blends it with the human element of "soft" SF at its best and with a thoroughly modern sensibility. My five-star review is here:
