Catherine Lockwood lives just outside London and is the author of two published books and another two works in progress. Her first book, The Girl Behind the Painted Smile, is a memoir which tells the brutally honest story of her life under the influence of alcohol, until she finds her own way to recovery. It is not a ‘poor me’ memoir and is a subtle mix of tragedy and humour.
Catherine’s latest release, Eloise ~ Loving a Sociopath, is a contemporary tale of an unsuspecting woman’s love for a Sociopath/narcissist/psychopath. They walk amongst us daily and people need to be aware. The topic is popular within the social media; therefore, there is a wide target audience. Some of Catherine’s novel is based on fact

The Author Trap has turned the screws on Catherine Lockwood to find out as much as we can about her latest work and what makes this lovely woman tick.
Please join us as she answers some very candid questions about Eloise - Loving a Sociopath, and
the process she used to bring us this wonderful book.

Q: Tell us what we can expect from your new book, Eloise ~ Loving a Sociopath

A: Eloise is informative, fast-paced, mind-bending, romantic, sad, horrific and violent.

Q: What scenes did you enjoy writing the most?

A: The sex scenes were enjoyable to write, funnily enough. I felt uncomfortable at the beginning and could only bring myself to write them by adding humour – like I do with most things that make me uncomfortable. I can’t read books that are full of pointless sex scenes. Mine are integral to the plot, as they say, but clumsy and amusing – except for one or two which are violent and horrid.

Q: Who is your favorite among the characters in the book?

A: There are only four main characters and three others whom I refer to as ‘extras.’ I love the main four, particularly Andy. I based some of the characters on certain traits of real people I have encountered – like you do. But Andy is completely borne from my own imagination – my ideal man, if you will and I love him.
