Flexibility is something that comes with patience. That was something Varsha's mum used to always tell her whenever she got frustrated with her training regimen. It took Varsha years to realize that her mum didn't mean physical flexibility, but mental flexibility. You see, Varsha is someone who is naturally head strong and stubborn, meaning it's difficult to change her mind about anything. On top of that she is a bit of a priss when things don't go exactly as planned.

Varsha's inability to be spontaneous and quick under pressure deeply affects her routines both on ice and on the floor. She has to perfect her routines in order to be able to perform and Varsha is definitely one of the best ice skaters on the planet, but her inability to improvise or to put any human emotion other than absolute perfection into her routines costs her points. Sure she aces in skill and ability, allowing her to win competitions, but the lack of emotion in her work is what is holding her back from actually being the best.
