Sorry, folks. I was trying to encourage those who live on the other side of the world that the letters would come...even though their day was already started.

I'm still waiting on a couple of books from other challenges to see if they fit the two letters I'm missing. I usually don't read much in a month, slow reader, and I try to crossover books as much as I can.

Marie, I seem to keep changing my mind about my books so for this month, I'm going to see what I read that fits and do that... doesn't mean that I didn't do any planning but very limited - only seeing if the 2 library books I borrowed & are due soon can fit in :)

It's a random spin, Susan, so we use what we get :)
Hopefully there won't be too much of a repeat.

message 22: by Karin (last edited Mar 01, 2017 03:29PM) (new)

Karin Please note that the books I have finished were started after Feb 15. They have also been on my cardfor some time, but I didn't have ALL the books chosen until today, with one possible skip. Is this a problem? ) Also, are we allowed to change mid-stream? I have already taken off a book I hated for its poor writing, even though it comes before a book my son gave me for Christmas. I'm loathe to even read the one he gave me if the writing will be as weak.

The MARCH LETTERS are:

G - M - N - T - L

✓ a. shelf 1 - G - general fiction - - L Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen February 20

b. shelf 2 - M - Modern Classics - Howards End by E.M. Forster

✓ e. shelf 5 - L - Lunar Chronicles Winter Feb 27

✓ f. first word in title (excluding a, an, the) - L Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen February 20

✓ g. any word in title (excluding a, an, the) - L Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen February 20

h. author's first name - G Geoffrey Chaucer for The Canterbury Tales

i. author's last name (I may use a skip here, and if I do, will post the 2 books that will count for that when I post my final sheet.)

✓ j. item on cover T - trees - World's Fair by E.L. Doctorow World's Fair by E.L. Doctorow Feb 18, 2017

No and yes.

Also, which Lunar Chronicles book did you read? You didn't actually link the book in your list.

And... you can wait until you see April's letters & your books to see if you can crossover a book from April's card to March's (i) category; just a suggestion...

Yes, I may do just that. I forgot about that. But I think I've already earned 2 skips (but would rather save them). I didn't even check out Winter, which is over 800 pages, but it's a y/a so I'm not going to bother (Lexile score of 800).

Me too! I find myself looking for the unusual shelf names - I'm kind of afraid to use the easy ones early in case we get letters called again. Plus it's kind of fun to see what crazy shelves people come up with :-D
