This was great! I know that I (as well as a majority in the US) have a lot to learn about the untold history and stories of Black people. This GN style, telling short stories and tales about different people and communities left me curious for more. One thing in particular I want to learn more about is the Malaga Island community and the atrocity that happened there. I was looking around to see if there was a documentary I could watch, but it looks like the major project was a radio documentary, I may try and check it out.

Strange Fruit, Volume II: More Uncelebrated Narratives from Black History The author has also done some solo biographies of accomplished Black people.
