What is gratitude?
Can it be held in a tightly closed fist?
Hidden away
Under a bush
In a secret drawer
Where no one sees it?
No! It must be shared
In a smile
A laugh
A warm embrace
You hand it out
In a please and and a thank you.
Pass it around the world
From hand to hand
Heart to heart.
Wipe away the tears shed by those who suffer.
Let them know you're near
That you care.
And surprise
When you feel the same
Someone will return the favor
Like a boomerang
A wormhole
It all comes full circle.

Allow it to awaken you and those around you.
