In this world, there are such things as monsters. Demons, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, skinwalkers, wendigo, and more. They are dangerous and should (probably) be exterminated. Many people aren't aware of these creatures, however. Those who do know are usually either the monsters themselves, victims, or the people who hunt them.
You are...
- An innocent bystander: you don't really know what's going on. You don't really believe in things like ghosts, demons, angels, and the like. Most of the time, you just pass weird happenings off as just happenstance. Be careful. You're almost always the victims.
- The Hunters: you guys are the badasses of the place (usually). You look in newspapers and such for things that don't seem natural and go to investigate. You often pose as police, FBI, doctors, etc. Your mission is to find the monsters and kill them before they can kill anyone else. Many learn their ways from the Winchester brothers, Garth, and the old teachings of Bobby.
- The Monsters: maybe "monster" isn't the right term. I mean, some of you are angels, right? Even so, a lot of you hurt people. Some of you refuse to feast on human flesh, but the temptation is always there, which is good enough reason for a hunter to ice ya. You usually operate in the shadows and try your best not to be caught. Monsters tell their children about the Winchester brothers when they tuck their babies in at night.
