I was an English major in college, reading hasn't always been fun and I stopped using it as a way to unwind sometime during my Sophomore year. When I graduated in May one of my first thoughts was of how many books I was going to be able to read. I didn't pick up ACOTAR until the beginning of December, but it competently renewed my faith in YA lit and made reading fun in a way it hasn't been since I was 12.
@ Grace - I completely know what you mean. In high school, it was common for me to knock back two or three books every couple of weeks. Then, when I joined the Air Force, while I still loved reading, I just didn't read as much. I still have moments (like my last deployment) where I'll knock back a six book series in a few weeks. Then other times, it takes me a while to read one book, like I'm currently doing. And it won't (always) be the book's fault. I just have spells where I don't really read as much. This series (and her ACOTAR series) drew me in immediately though. TOG was actually one of my series I read last deployment, and I sucked them all in, all the ones that were avaliable that is, in a week or so. I've been hooked ever since.
