1000 Books Before You Die discussion

One of Ours by Willa Cather

I have been dancing around this book for a year. Don't know why. I love the way Cather writes. But somehow I put in on my list each month and then never get to it.

I have not read anything by Cather yet, but her name keeps popping up every time I turn around. Maybe that's a sign to start reading her work, lol. I will put this on my list for next month and see what happens.

I read this book last month and was disappointed. It was not as good as her other books, especially the section where he goes to Europe.

I started reading this today, while having coffee when I was out. I was so absorbed in it I was nearly late taking my car out of the car park!

Yes, I read & enjoyed My Antonia. I also have a copy of My Mortal Enemy which I was almost ready to read when I found that One of Ours was chosen for this month. I will read it soon, but didn’t want to read 2 books by the same author together.

I enjoyed My Antonia too. I also liked A Lost Lady.

I finished this & thought it was wonderful.
