Good to know! It’s one of the Dickens that I haven’t read yet. I started it but then got distracted by my SciFi Odyssey. I’ll make certain I get back to it!

Finally read this one. It had many of the usual Dickensian tropes and character types, and was very enjoyable in a comforting way. Overall, a fascinating character study of the elder Mr. Dombey, with his strongest personality traits played out to the nth-degree.

I really loved the character of Edith. She was quite complex and utterly mesmerizing.
