1000 Books Before You Die discussion

White Teeth by Zadie Smith

I liked the early part of this book, especially the conversations between Clara & Alsanta. Set in London, it referred to factual events & people’s reactions, including the destruction of the Berlin Wall & the autumn hurricane. But the story rapidly deteriorated & I lost interest once the main emphasis was on the younger characters.

This has not been on my to-read list. It's good to read your comments, Trisha. I think it will stay off my list.
