Teresa (teresa_rust) I just realized that I have met my challenge of 9-12 books by finishing the 9th Scottish book in April 2014. It was Peter West by one of my favorite authors, D.E. Stevenson. I still have EIGHT months to go and I am sure I'll read many more Scottish books before the year is up. This has been a fun challenge and I have learned about so many other Scottish authors and books. God Bless Scotland and Scottish people throughout the world!!

Julie | 76 comments i'm in the middle of another mccall smith, and have another of his waiting for when i finish this one. and 'blue above the chimney' is still waiting for me to get to it, and i'm working my way more quickly through my 'the wild places', and 'seasons on harris'. and those are just a few! : )

Teresa (teresa_rust) I just finished The Blackhouse by Peter May. It was dark but still hopeful. A real thriller. I learned a lot about the Isle of Lewis and the guga hunters. I will definitely read the next in the trio.

Teresa (teresa_rust) Sadly, my father passed away on September 12th, his immigrant ancestor was Scottish. John Hamilton (1634-1681)
