I'm finally getting to the end of History of Wolves, and I'm having a hard really "getting" it. The main character Linda comes to terms with the "Why" or her story, and phrases it nonchalantly as maybe detailing the "origins of human evil." I grasp that concept, but to me, Linda is the most un-graspable of all characters. I struggled getting to know her, getting to know the "why" of her motives, her aspirations or lack-thereof.
The book definitely evokes the feeling of a cold, white snow with wolves prowling in the background that you just can't see. Which is great. But I'm missing something. Anybody reading it yet?
