Sharon | 189 comments I have read
1. Sour Puss by Rita Mae Brown it was good but not enough parts with the 3 main animal characters: Mrs. Murphy & Pewter the cats & Tucker the dog all females.

2. Out of Circulation by Miranda James it started slow then I couldn't put the book down! An excellent mystery novel with an adorable cat named Diesel!

That sounds like a library setting! I'll have to look into that one; I love cozy mysteries set in locations like that. (Bookstores, libraries, etc.)

by Katherine Bridge
It's a good mystery but the cat Jo doesn't come into the story for a long time.

Sharon | 189 comments 4. LAST LICKS: (Sunny & ShadowMystery series)

I have read a lot of this series and they are good. I think this one the best because their are more cats in this novel! Shadow does not help solve the case but is there when Sunny needs him. Portia & Patrick are the added cats in this novel & they maybe in the new novel coming out. I liked them both.

Sharon | 189 comments 5. I am just completed book #15 of The Mrs. Murphy Mysteries series by Rita Mae Brown & Sneaky Pie Brown.

This one was about horses again! This time Harry & Fair go to Kentucky to see the Saddlebred shows with friends showing. I love when horses are included in the stories!

Sharon | 189 comments #6 Cat Raise The Dead By Shirley Rousseau Murphy. I love her books about Joe Grey & Dulcie & their human housemates: Clyde who belongs to Joe Grey & Clyde's friend Max Harper the police chief; & Wilma who belongs to Dulcie the library cat! I have read a number of these books but not in order from my city library but they don't have many & won't buy the older books in the series so I have bought a few from Chapters. I just love this series!

Sharon | 189 comments 7. Cat Striking Back #15 by Shirley Rousseau Murphy.
I love Joe Grey Mysteries! I am reading a lot of them right now because I ordered a few from Chapters online. The library has very few & I read them all! The public library in the the city I live in is only taking the new books & not ordering old ones so I have not read this series in order, but I don't think you need too.

Sharon | 189 comments 8. Cat Bearing Gifts by Shirley Rousseau Murphy another excellent novel in the series. I just couldn't put it down!
The main cat in the story is young Kit & her housemates tragic incident that sets the story. Old yellow cat Misto begins to remember his old cat lives in past living in a jail & the jail farm & that sets the setting for the next novel in the series! This novel I am borrowing from my local public library.

Sharon | 189 comments 9. The Cat The Devil and Lee Fontana

A creepy well written novel that left me hanging! It's conclusion I can't get at my local area libraries! Very frustrating!
By Shirley Rousseau and Pat J. J. Murphy (her husband).

Sharon | 189 comments 9. The Perrfect Murder by Rita Mae Brown & Sneaky Pie Brown.

Excellent novel especially when I can get the hard covers from the public library as they have pictures! As much as I hate snakes & never met a big black snake in the south ( only been there once) Matilda is a hoot! Another awesome book from this incredible author.

Sharon | 189 comments 11. Familiar Escape! By Caroline Burns
A mystery romance series with a black cat detective. A good series. I have read novels from 1-22 so far in the past 16 years.

Sharon | 189 comments Now that I have read 11 novels I feel challenged to go to 20 cat mystery novels to read by the end of the year! So many great novels so little time! I look forward to getting to retirement age for one reason so that I can read! Unfortunately I have a long time to wait.
